Works fine when on desktop, but the app is not usable for people using the TD banking app. Most people are on mobile so this app makes very little sense. Sure, one can access the bank account using mobile web browser, but the user experience is not great, especially since there is no option to copy the code, so one has to memorize and then switch to browser and manually enter the code.. The TD Authenticate app should be made compatible with the TD banking app + add a copy function.

useless! The app does not work for 2 step verification for TD visa. After being transferred to 4 different depts, someone finally fessed up to the fact it only works when trying to access easy web on a browser. I can't imagine why someone would want to do that when all the info on easy web is available from the regular TD app. I was also incorrectly told that I could sign up to get the one time code by email.

Very complicated, need app update but doesn't work. It is a garbage app. Don't even try to install it. The app has a serious bug issue ⛔ Even after generation of code you can not enter the code to get verified because the TD app is required, the code has been generated either text or call.

Does this work when I'm overseas? Yes. Is it secure? No - it doesn't stop anyone else from bypassing the need for the app code. They can just enter a code from text. And why, for the love of god, don't you allow us to use TOTP via a QR code? 1Password is a much better option. Lastly, why not allow us to add security keys (Yubikey) as a verification method? It is infinitely better than your app.

doesn't install properly, won't run. waste of time. tried to reinstall but still says there is a bug and wait for the developer to fix. Shoddy service from a major bank. makes me wonder what else is failing if they can't get an authentication app to work.

I try to log-in to check my accounts. Mobile is required. I don't have access to mobile. I'm instructed to download this app to circumvent mobile two-step verification. The first thing this app asks for is mobile. I don't have access to mobile. I don't have access to my accounts. Going to have to go into the bank tomorrow and close my accounts. TD just lost 35 year customer.

TD is causing me to lose money. By preventing me from logging into my account with both the app and the authenticator app, I am unable to trade any shares and pay bills accordingly. The authenticator app says to download and update now, sends me to Google store and no update is available. Click open app on the playstore and the same thing happens. Going in circles and can't access my account now.

A non-starter for me; never did manage to even log in. Either there's an additional step that's not made clear on all the information materials on their website or this app doesn't work poperly. I suspect the former but whatever is really needed to get this thing going, TD is not clear about it. I noticed people seem to have a lot of problems with the thing. Shame as I really need the service it exactly seems to advertise since I'm currently unable to receive texts or calls.

Unlike the TD app, or any other banking app I've seen, access card numbers must be entered with no spaces between number groups. This is a simple fix that should be done. Also, developer confirmed it supports only ONE access card, so if you have one personal and one business card, the app supports only one of these. Unnecessary restriction that should be removed.

Edit: Android update erased the data. Massive fail! Original review: When it works, it works. When it arbitrarily decide to lose all pre-configured accounts, it is a failure. An advertised benefit is avoiding the need for texting authentication, which is a risk in some countries. I had to reconfigure an account now because it "forgot " the account. There is no excuse as the last update was months ago and I last used it two weeks ago. TD online security is now covered in question marks.

Doesn't work. After completing login and SMS validation and saying it's "ready to use", throws an error saying "Unfortunately we're unable to load this information right now" and sends me back to the welcome screen, even though the phone is already registered on EasyWeb. EDIT: Problem sorted. On older Android devices, the app does not request permissions correctly, so you need to manually grant those permissions first. Debug logs showed it tried to get "biometric permissions" on my device when it doesn't even have a fingerprint reader. App also requests way too many permissions, why does it need Camera permissions? For a security app, TD sure does not understand the principle of least privilege.

Forces you to use Google tracking Services like Play protect and Android Safe Browsing. I don't want to enable that and give Google the opportunity to know at all time which apps I have installed. Everything is presented as "security", when in fact is just tracking. I know which apps I'm installing and why, and don't need to let Google know if they are ok or not. TD should make the app like the other authentication apps, or allow to use an alternative authenticator app, if they can't do that.

If I could, my rating would have been ZERO!!! The app doesn't allow to access with a popup saying, "update available Download Now." Once you download the app and try to open, it immdtly shuts down and Android reports,"there is a bug, access after the developer fixes the error"... pathetic!!! I am not able to login at all

Constantly says "there's a new app update" and prompts you to go to Play Store to install a supposed update that doesn't exist. The last update was 3 months ago and there is nothing to update since the app has been on the latest version, and yet, the app continues to block you from using it. Uninstall and reinstall only brings you to start-up page that constantly crashes and you can't even try to login with your credentials. What a joke.

Constantly removes your login credentials and forces you to go through the sign up process over and over again. Would be much simpler to just integrate with Google Authenticator. 2025 May: Now it's saying to download the latest version of the app in order to continue using the app. When you click download now it takes you to this play store page but the app has not been updated... so it makes an endless loop.

This app is a POS. I'd give it negative stars if I could. I set everything up before I left the country for traveling. Lo and behold when I went to login, it didn't work! It generated a number, I entered it into the browser... And it failed! I tried multiple times, and then TD decided to lock me out an disallow this mode of auth. Totally useless.

This app is terrible. I load all my accounts into it, using text message verification, as I am out of the country a lot. It seems at least once every 2 days, all my accounts are no longer in the app, and I have to re-enter them again, using text verification in a foreign country. The whole reason I got the app was to save the hassle of getting text messages in foreign countries. Please make an app that doesn't constantly lose my information.
