the only problem I have with this app is that you cannot update your LTC and also I was trying to pay for my Renewal by adding a credit card through the renewal registration but every time never worked. to get around this I went and added it to my actual account and then went and try doing the renewal and it actually worked.

Only used this to bypass an error on the desktop/browser version. I kept getting a "houson we have a problem" message because something wasn't working about entering my credentials for the DPS on the desktop version. I did the same process with this app and I got passed that hurdle and switched back to the desktop version without anymore hitches, Uninstalling now :)

Put in , numerously. Back and fourth for verification. Checked and rechecked info. All good. I get could not verify or, of course, I tried too many times. 24 hrs to try again. Oh boy, I can't wait. My mistake. I checked and rechecked it wrong. App is great. Stan

Downloaded the app because the site has said it's under maintenance for the last few days. I have had to enter all of my info multiple times & after each time, I get the "Houston, we have a problem" notification.

Created account with DPS as soon as online tag renewal was possible. This yr told me to use the TxT app. Downloaded from here, got in to account. Got all the way to input CC info, & just as I did, the whole thing closed on me. I did not receive confirmation via email. Made me worry for days, no number to contact DMV, sent an email inquiry to ask if it had gone through. Still no reply. Submitted again via the state link & got confirmation. But worried why it took CC 1st time, & just shut down?

Crashed twice while renewing & everytime it crashed, I have to wait for 24 hrs before trying to renew my registration again. Waiting for 24 hrs is illogical to begin with but app crashing while renewing in 2024 is just sign of a bad product. More info: Crashed during Pay portal twice.

App has programming issues. Does not work. Tried to set up an account so I could pay some fines. App sends a verification to my email. App tells me verification codes are incorrect even when they are correct, and then I get locked out for 24 hours or more. Take this trash down and bring everything back to the state website. On samsung s24 ultra. Have been trying this for weeks. Writing a letter to my congressman about this trash.

At the very least, the app and website should notify you that hitting the back button at all creates a 24 hour hold and ask you if you actually want to leave the process. This is especially frustrating because when I opened another app to check my credit card details, this app automatically went back to the main page and made me start the process over even though I was out of the app for less than a minute. It took me 3 days to use this successfully.

This app is literal garbage. I tried twice just to create an account so that I could renew my driver's license (I turned 18 recently). I put in everything correctly both times just for it to tell me that it couldn't verify my identity. I tried a third time, and then it locked me out and said that I had too many failed sign ins and now I have to wait 24 hours to try again. Super inconvenient. Absolutely utterly trash. Almost threw my phone out of frustration. Kys whoever made this app.

Linked my license just fine. Showing not eligible for online renewal and replacement and to "click here" for their criteria. Doesn't open. A second link for DPS Eligibility system shows I'm Eligible. The in-app Contact Us link also doesn't work. The FAQ doesn't open. Too many issues. Clarification edit: this is installed on an S23+ fully updated.

Took me 10mins to renew my registration. Only had to get out of bed to get my wallet. No more waiting in line for hours at a Houston office. (Somehow I quit getting renewal letters by mail). Didn't have to upload anything, just had to enter my DL and address. Had to verify through email and phone, but I appreciate that since identity info is important. No problems with entering my credit card like others mentioned. Only used once, but figured I'd add my positive experience to the mix.

Programmed by a cow...and not a smart one. Pretty typical of any TX government "processing". Be prepared to go through the same steps, getting further towards your goal each time, just for the app to time out or give an error before you can complete the task. Some sort of twisted satanic video game more than a helpful app that could save us all a ton of time and money.

Won't scan anything, freezes, won't accept verification codes, says it'll use address on DL but then wants you to enter one, but when try to and you have the state drop down, Texas isn't listed and it won't let you continue for 24 hrs. Wants you to constantly verify on almost every step. Would have taken less time to drive to the tax office and wait In line. I may have exaggerated a little anbout the time, but it would have been less aggravating!

Updated- The issue was due to the auto shop inputting the wrong make of my car. I have since used app three times and works perfectly. Set up was fine, except that I kept getting a error when confirming the phone number. However, I tried to renew my registration and it has an error that states it cannot verify my inspection. I have the form and it was done 3 days ago. There is a QR code on the inspection form, but no way to scan it on the app. Not sure why it can't find it. Not helpful.

I'm on an Pixel 7. I was able to create an account, have my DL on file, and scan my registration stickers to inventory my vehicles. However, I'm now trying to register one of vehicles and the app crashes after I agree to the terms then press "Start Renewal". When reopening the app, the app says that I can't again start another renewal for 24 hours. I've attempted to do this over multiple days and the app keeps crashing in the same spot.

absolutely terrible. glitchy app that you can't get anything done on. tried to change my address and had to do it like 10 times and it still would not correctly change the address. everything was under correctly and it seemed like it was all going fine and the screen freezes and then it erases all your information repeatedly. I wasted a full hour on this trying to change my address. never again. 3/14/23 I have tried about 20 more times.. ridiculous app never works. worthless.

Very convenient to be able to do this through the app. Some small user interface changes would do a lot to make it even easier to use. On a phone the on-screen keyboard often hides the 'submit' or 'login' buttons until you escape the keyboard. Also, the second vehicle I linked to my account doesn't show up in the list of vehicles. Gives me an error saying I have already registered the second one when I try to add it again.
