I can appreciate that this app is free however, this is the worst app for streaming I've ever used. I'd rather pay a few dollars a month to have it be even just a little more user friendly. It doesn't bring up the shows you're watching so you have to search it every time. It doesn't save where you are between devices. Insane amount of ads - repetitive ads. Then when it crashes, and it does, you have to start all over. Search the show. Find the episode. Fast forward. Watch 584 ads, AGAIN.

Please fix your app. It works sometime and some it doesn't. I have the Amazon Fire TV Stick. It has been 3 years and same problem (it's 2021). Do you plan on ever fixing your app on Firetvstick? Also it would be nice if your support team would respond to request for help. It's been a month. The shows won't load. I can only see commercials. You might want to fix that.

Came here for a particular series, and the experience is awful. There are 5 ad breaks per episode, with the same 4 to 5 ads per break. That makes it a minimum of 20 ads per video, with no ad free option. And that's if you don't have to skip to find out where you left off. I'm currently stuck in an ad loop where I skip back, but get caught in an ad, only to end up back where I needed to rewind from. If I see the same Kevin Hart ad one more time, I'm throwing my phone into oncoming traffic.

Lots of great shows on the CW, and I really don't mind having to watch ads, but this app is just awful! It constantly freezes or gets stuck in loops and then crashes. Then, when I go back in to it, it doesn't remember what show I was watching, let alone continue at the point where I was in it when it crashed. Very frustrating. I only watch streaming TV and none of my other apps freeze or get stuck in loops like the CW app does so I really don't think it's my internet service.

I don't know how the app can hold a 4☆ review!!! They must have falsified some ratings!! Freezes constantly then kicks me out! Trying to watch a show for two hours and can't get past the first 2 minutes. I have cleared the cache, rebooted my firestick, did a force stop, updated and deleted and reinstalled on two different Firesticks. Each time, it plays the add perfectly, then freezes anywhere from 10 seconds to two minutes of the show starting. Rediculous!! Fix the app!!!

I realize that ads are necessary, but there are way to many. Every time there is a break, you show 8 to 9 different ads. Sometimes, you show the same ad 4 different times(Disney) in one break. Tubi and Pluto have ads, but nothing like this app. If I put a timer on it, I think we watch more ads than show. Just saying it's disappointing.

App has a lot of issues. You can not scroll to where you want to watch as it will make you watch 2 1/2 minutes of ads to take you. Back to where you were only to watch the same ads over again. I was trying to watch an episode to watch the set of ads at least twice as much as it was suppose to. The count down was bad and would play additional ads after the counter was at 0. Overall experience was terrible.

Garbage (more the company if anything) . The app doesn't have the second season of sullivan's crossing, and every website tells me it's on the app or website, but it's not. I can't even watch it on cable cause they don't even air it anymore. All the good shows are gone/taken off the app, and the ads are ridiculous. The app also glitches a lot.

TV app gets playback error. Intro ad fine, first 10 minutes, fine, next ad plays, **playback error** Looked up and down the troubleshooting page and see nothing Maybe the next update will fix this. Phone app works great and does picture-in-picture (can watch in the corner of the screen while doing something else on your phone) which I enjoy.

I have been trying to watch all episodes of the series Grimm since 1/15/24. When I first started watching Grimm on the CW App, the commercial breaks were between 30 seconds and 1 minute 15 seconds. Now they are 3 minutes or longer and occur every 2 minutes!!! :-( :-( :-( While I realize free streaming Apps are paid for by commercials, increasing the length and frequency like this is very frustrating! I am a stroke survivor with VERY High Blood Pressure, so that is NOT good!!!

Pros: I love that the app is free and I can watch some of my favorite shows on it. Cons: It Repeatedly crashes in the middle of an episode. When I try to return to the episode it starts it over and I have to FF - then it crashes again. I can't even cast what I'm watching from my phone because CW app doesnt have a casting function and wont work with 3rd party casting apps. This is BEYOND INFURIATING and leaves me not watching the app at all. CW Seed functioned better but was discontinued.

Update: They fixed the minimizing issue and added better shows!! So Great streaming app!! Top 3 for sure!! It has good shows. It has lots of ads, but it's also free.. so that's to be expected. My only real issue is that you can't minimize a show to check something on your phone (like Netflix and such) without it shutting off. If it didn't do that, I'd likely prefer it over Netflix these days, and I'd definitely use it more.

The old app worked well. Now you can't select the episode you want, and you have to watch a trailer before you can watch anything. Commercials were in the appropriate places now you get Commercials every where you go, along with the additional commercials in the episodes. I used to watch episodes, and the app would just go to the next episode. Now you have to start the whole process over. It's not worth it anymore. Im done.

It's alright. Still needs some work. Ads make no sense when they don't even show up ninety percent of the time. Why not put them all at the beginning or end of an episode so our suspension of disbelief remains intact? Is that not the point of the entire medium and overall collective of product? I don't mind commercials at all, it's just no one addresses the problem with ads or commercials being invasive. Try innovative. No app on Microsoft store. Overall streaming quality is great. Good start.

When casting from my phone to Chromecast, app will connect and then loop not allowing any show to play. When trying to use the Chromecast app, there are multiple buttons not mapped to bottons on the Chromecast remote, there was a message on launch 'press a for more info' there is no 'A'. In the middle of a show, a 90210 as covers half the screen "press >|| to return". Pressing the pause button will pause the video playing, but the ad is there forever.

The smart TV app has an error that makes it unusable - it cannot resume playback of any content after the first time an ad is served within an episode (So those pre-show ads, they're fine, but once the first ad plays within the show - when it's time for the content to resume I get "Something went wrong during playback" error.) This happens for every single show I have tried to watch on this app. Annoyingly, the ads play just fine, although it's the same one ad over and over.

Love the show options that this app has but the ads need work. I understand that it is free and I'm okay with the ads, but the ads will constantly play, and then replay. The same ad will play twice in a row, like it has glitched. And then I'll have to sit through the same amount of the rest of the ads. Please fix that and I will update my review.
