It may be the best game ever! All of "The Room" games are absolutely amazing. They have a good backstory and really make you think to solve the puzzles. It will literally suck you in for hours. More than worth the few bucks the game costs. I've played them all, and there is no better problem solving game. Just really disappointed that there aren't more in "The Room" series.

Fantastic entry in the series, and great puzzle game! Greatly improved upon the layered, multi-room gameplay of The Room 3 (less frustrating movement between rooms/areas, by far!), and introduced slightly more challenging puzzles, too. The story and continued lore-building is the best part of Old Sins, though. You can't help but want to know what happened to Edward and Abigail Lockwood.

Overall, this game is a fitting continuation of The Room series, taking place in the same universe with the same general themes, but as a new protagonist in a very different position from the first set of three. it takes away from the immersion a tiny bit, not knowing exactly who you are, but the payoff at the end is worth it. I'm slightly disappointed that it wasn't the same degree of mystery and horror for me as the last games untill the end, but all the basic features that I love are here.

Fantastic game! I never thought I would be ACTIVELY awaiting a sequel release to a phone app! But can't wait for 5. However, I felt like maybe the 4th installment never quite followed the progression that Fireproof Games had in the previous 3. 1 was basic because it was their first, 2 was a HUGE leap of improvement and depth, 3 even more so with a side quest and all, but then 4 seemed to not be so rich in content. It was still AMAZING, but just seemed to maybe be more focused on the cinematic scenes than the gameplay.

This has to be the BEST puzzle game I've ever played, and in the last 10 years or so, I have played 1000+ puzzle games, and this one my friends is by far the best! I had a hard time putting it down so I could get work done 🤭 If you love interactive puzzle games, this is definitely it!! I need more!!!! They did a fan'TAB'ulous job on the graphics, storyline, puzzles, everything was spot on! I don't have not one negative thing to say. It was absolutely perfect 👌 👍

I'm a puzzle person and enjoy a good mind bender. First, the artwork/ graphics are extremely fitting and pleasing. Second, the storyline, while it had a slight "Winchester house or Rose Red" feel at times was great. Lots of mystery and intrigue. Next, the puzzles were well thought out and prompted, at times, high level problem solving. I thought I was stumped a couple of times, but pulled through. Last, I was sad that I won. Great game! I would love to play more by this team.

Spellbinding I love all of The Room series and was so excited when I heard about this one. I waited for awhile before I purchased it as I would not have been able to play it. I was most deffinately not disappointed. The story is as interwoven and intriging as all of the games. I concept of having the entire game focus on a doll house was amazing. This was challenging but fun at the same time. I would most definately recommend this game to anyone that has liked the other Room titles. 5 stars!

I enjoyed this game, but not quite as much as I was expecting. The puzzles are pretty easy, and something about the gameplay reminds me too much of the first game in the series. That said, navigating the overworld is much easier than in The Room Three, some puzzles are really satisfying (the dragons come to mind), and the interactions between different rooms is fun. In the end, it's a Room game, and that's a good thing. It's not my favorite entry in the series, but I enjoyed it.

This is a second The Room I've finished, and they're excellent - I already bought the other 2 before I even completed it. Solid story, gameplay, graphics, and controls. Puzzle difficulty ranges from too easy to a few head scratchers. Instantly one of my favorites, the whole lot of them. Hope they continue this and make many more!

Oh my goodness, what an interesting game! The 3D exploration style, intricate puzzles, engaging storyline, and mindbending world all combine beautifully to make a truly unique experience. Similar in style to the House of Da Vinci games, but very different in theme. Before playing, it looked like a horror game, but it's really not, it just has a very dark theme. No real replayability, but quite a good length to the story nonetheless. Well worth the price of admission!

The game was difficult as it should be and got harder towards the end, as it should do. But the clues were wonderful. Sometimes the rooms were frustrating because in order to finish one room, you had to visit accessories other rooms and solve those puzzles in order to solve previous puzzles and many times you had to solve several other puzzles before you can finally solve the puzzle that was driving you MAAADD!!! My only criticism is that the hunt was, in the long run, not long enough!

As always The Room stands as a staple of this genre. While the gameplay is par for the course, the puzzles are clever and the set dressing is gorgeous (as we have come to expect from this series). The backtracking does get tedious at times due the animating of every transition which does get quite irritating as the game goes on and with no voice acting, not a requirement but a very nice touch, does take away from the intensity of some scenes. But nit picks aside I do highly recommend this game!

LOVED IT!!!!!!! took longer to complete than I would have thought which was a pleasant surprise! Graphics and art were great. Puzzles were challenging but logical and I didn't ever get the feeling of "how would I have figured that out?!". I think I only used one or two hints and one was a mechanism for solving that hadn't been used before so I didn't know it was an option. Overall highly reccomenf if you like puzzle games!!

If you like the room, get it. Trust me. It is either better than 3 or at least ties with it, nah it's better, it doesn't suffer from the same issues controlling things as 3 did. The graphics are smooth and the controls are more or less fluid. My only minor complaint is constantly having to double tap and wait for an animation to end before you move into a new section of the dollhouse. once in a while is fine, but when you have to do this constantly it gets a little redundant. I'd recommend adding an option to turn off room transition animations, but the immersion would suffer and that's the whole point of The Room games, immersive puzzles that keep you thinking so I'll deal. If you like The Room, you'll not be disappointed. Good job Devs!!

incredible animation incredible storytelling. Challenging but the interaction was seamless. One small note: a couple of the puzzles are near impossible to complete playing on a Samsung Z Fold because of the aspect ratio. The camera gets a little too close to see the whole puzzle interaction which leads to frustration in not knowing what to do next. it's solved by playing in a normal aspect ratio. 10/10.

Included in play pass as of Oct 2025. Great game! Definitely recommend. Playtime: 6 hours. Mind you I take a bit longer for games generally. Great immersion, puzzles, atmosphere, and complementary storyline. Mechanics on mobile can get a bit clunky for some of the cranking/circular motions but easy to adjust to.

My favorite one so far, the puzzles are unique and I dont ever feel it was ever too hard or too easy. You get a great mix of obvious puzzles and convoluted ones, great for anyone. Not to mention there's hours worth of gameplay here, especially if you play casually. Definitely worth it! (No ads or microtransactions)

Well, I wouldn't say this is quite as good as The Room 3, and like the first game, I beat it in one day. But besides that? Delivered on atmosphere and puzzles just like the first trilogy, and with interesting twists on the storyline and game structure to boot. Fans of the series, or even just dollhouses, will definitely be satisfied with Old Sins.

It's definitely worth the price, I'm playing on a play pass subscription, but I can tell whoever is currently reading the reviews deciding if they want to buy the game. To waste no more time and just go for it, it has a very immersive atmosphere, beautiful graphics for the price, and the puzzles are challenging but fair. I'm about 3 hours into the game and I'm yet to run into a puzzle with ridiculous logic, I've only had to use hints due to my own haste which led to me overlooking things.

For me, these puzzles were JUST the right of difficulty. I used the hint button 2 or 3 times and I always felt dumb for having missed something so simple, but really enjoyed it all! The story, atmosphere and variety of rooms were a lot of fun. If I had any complaint, it would be a couple of the rooms felt almost empty while some seemed cluttered with puzzles. Def give this one a shot if you're a fan of these puzzle types!
