Great tool for Bible study. Great notes. Ease of navigating the Bible. For me, the footnotes stopped holding in display, so when I went to them, they disappeared, leaving only their references being accessible. I requested a software patch to make the correction, but none was provided. After getting a new phone, the app has been responding properly. Must have been a phone software problem. Thankful!

Very clear explanatory notes. Cross references are easy to use, although I follow several verses and get myself lost. It is then difficult to get back to the original chapter. I wish this was in the NIV. Also, the audio has stopped working. I like to listen when I walk especially. Ive updated and called on the audio. Doesnt work.

So far I'm loving it! All the extra side notes are super helpful in gaining a better understanding of the passages contextually. Literally every verse I've looked at has a link to a relevant sermon and article/blog (sometimes several of each). I also really enjoy how convenient it is to jump to other areas of the Bible that are relevant to the current verse and have an easy way to get back where you started.

Besides being a Bible, this app is almost worthless. MacArthur's notes (if purchased) can only be used online. The search feature is substandard in that you can't come back to the results page by hitting the back arrow button. Text settings are less customizable than other Bible apps. Of course per other reviewers, the audio remains broken. In general, it has a feel that software development isn't finished yet. The And Bible is much better for its downloadable modules and offline use.

Best Bible app for people who want to read and study and not be bogged down by social media and advertisements. It opens straight to the text and has an excellent search and great interface. It is clean with all the features you could want. I wish there was an option to toggle John's notes off and it would be perfect.

GTY Study Bible is truly a God send, it has increased my desire with the great footnotes, and the features and benefits you get with this study Bible is second to none. I highly recommend it. Sincerely, Lee Brushwood Please fix the App!! The font size on Pastor MacArthurs related resources went from normal font to triple large!!! Very frustrating. I tried changing the font size it changes the bible size but not the related resources size.

I used this app often. The word of God is very important to me and this app is very convenient for study anywhere I am to frequent real authentic truth. I cannot live without His truth. Thank you so much for this tool for life. Nothing is like the pages in a real book. I can quickly flip between chapters or books within seconds. If you can make an app that can "go between" different txt chapters or books would make it more real. It would be as if one would be tabbing with your finger or hand.

I really enjoy this Bible app. Very easy to cross-reference and then backtrack. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because the audible Bible doesn't work. I would like to make a suggestion. I wish the separation between chapters and books was a swipe right to left instead of the continuous up and down scrolling. Thanks for everything you're doing for God's Kingdom.

My Christian walk has been deeply blessed and furthered by GTY and their resources, like this app. That said, the value of this app is diminished because audio does not work at all, in any of the three translations, on my android phone. I see that this has been reported by other reviewers for months and still this hasn't been fixed. Very disappointing.

Great app. Has a buy-in option that's worth getting. The extras include devotionals from John MacArthur's other books, commentaries, and links the passages of scripture to his past sermons on that topic and his other commentaries of that subject. Some of the previous podcasts to his sermons are linked to the bible app. The only complaint is that the updated version doesn't allow listening to bible in audio mode. It used to work and now it doesn't.

It is so nice to have the MacArthur Study Bible easily accessible at anytime, especially those when carrying the paper version is not practical. Easy to use, so quick to switch books, simple to find verses. The search function is solid. The Bible versions alone make this app great, but the add on of the study materials is priceless. If one can't afford a paper study Bible, than this is a no brain option. Almost as good as having Pastor John at your side!

Simply amazing! I love being able to jump from one passage to another without fearing that I'm going to rip a page. Also, the text is so clear and easy to read because you don't see the verse from the other side of the page. What a huge difference and pleasure that is for me! Of course these comments just highlight the visual and practical aspects only, the real meat is the scripture itself and the wonderful commentary, introductions and maps. Overall it's a great pleasure to use!

Paid for the full version. It's somewhat helpful, but I guess I was expecting more interconnected options for resources such as maps linked to verses/chapters as well. It seems to be more of Verse-by-verse footnotes - which are very useful, but I would like to see more than footnotes. I do not have a use for the cross-device feature since I only have 1 device as well.

I really like this app! I love the ease it moves from one bible version to another (takes only a few seconds). I also like that I can quickly change to audio mode where it reads to you in any of the versions. I really like the ESV narrator's voice. In that version the text is linked to each verse individually and automatically scrolls as it is read so I can do my devotions with my coffee and read along or not without having to touch my phone (NASB and KJV are linked by chapter).

The app funtions fine but somewhat confusing to navigate. If you choose to go to other areas from your current page, in crertain instants, it's hard to get back to the previous page. I love the text size, the highlighting, resourse info/option & indept info, ability to bookmark, change highlight colors, . I would recommend this app to others as an option to traditional bibles.

An update: the developer said they knew about the audio issue but still it is not fixed....hoping and waiting, since it is An app I use daily. The amount of information it provides is amazing and it comes in 3 versions. I use the audio recording to listen in the mornings while drinking coffee. The devotionals, links to sermons and more helps are perfect for studying. Such an abundance of resources in one place.

I have this app installed on my iPad and it would great (5/5 stars), but when I recently downloaded this app on my Android phone, I realized that the audio doesn't work. I tried all three bible versions and the audio is broken on all of them. This is really disappointing. Please fix the audio feature. For me, it is the most important factor in a bible app.

Solid Bible app that offers NASB, NKJV, and ESV along with Grace to You study material. Sometimes the app does lose your page when opening up, but the effect is minimal, especially in a Bible app. Also the audio feature doesn't work. I use the Youversion Bible app whenever I do need it instead. Overall, the app is classy and smooth. Personally I like it a lot.

After several years use, this bible app still is one of my favorites. The notes and reference materials provide wonderful insight and fertile ground for additional study. The app itself is well designed and easy to use. EXCEPT the audio capability on Android phones stopped working a few years ago, and they have not fixed it, despite numerous reports & requests.

A great app for those who are looking for a reference Bible with a compilation of John MacArthur's study notes at their fingertips. This is my favorite Bible App...unfortunately, my S20 Samsung phone can not turn on the audio reader. I know it works on the IPad. Also, for some reason, the App settings for updating the App doesn't stay active. Even with these issues...this Study Bible App is so easy to navigate. I hope in the future, the Lagacy Study Bible Version is available to use.
