Why has the Telegraph returned to this awful layout? It's like reading a shopping list! Can we please have the usual format back? This is boring with no headlines to grab the attention. Horrible!!!

App has one massive flaw - notifications collect in notification tray, and then clicking one dismisses all. Have raised this multiple times with them and have been given poor advice or flat-out lied to about the issue (pretending that all apps dismiss all notifications if you click one out of a group - patently false). Given that the Telegraph were asking for over £250 a year for a subscription, this app is a joke. Needs some serious work.

For about a week now, I've been unable to save articles. Any idea when this fault will be fixed? Phone is Samsung S20+5g. UPDATE: 2024.04.08 The 'fix' worked for a few days but no it ldoesn't work using the app. Saving on my PC now works, but for 3 weeks it didn't. Please sort the app out ASAP as this is becoming even more tiresome than the first time round.

I live in Canada and the layout of the telegraph app is more like a paper than the globe and mail layout. I find it easy to maneuver between sections and articles and I enjoy hearing different perspectives on world news. Articles are more conservative than I am in many cases but I learn a lot.

I'm finding the app. increasingly frustrating. Despite lengthy dialogue with customer service, I'm unable to save articles on my Samsung S20+. Other bugs have recently appeared, such as pressing the 3 bars ( page top right), which sometimes doesn't include the link to any saved articles.

It's all there and easy to navigate. Only problem is that I can't exit the app using the back button like all other apps. I have to show all my open apps and swipe it.

Love it! I never considered myself a Telegraph reader - I thought it was too highbrow for me. But it's by far the best online news and newspaper journalism I've found. The app is so good and no intrusive ads.

Easy to read and helps me to keep abreast with international news. If only they can improve the level of their opinion writers (columnists). Otherwise, useful App!

I'm already a subscriber usually reading on a desktop. I was not sure about the android app as some reviews were partly negative but after using it for a month now I find it very useful. Its easy to navigate, the layout is attractive, it works well and I have had no issues with it at all, now do most of my reading on it. The Daily Telegraph is probably the most reliable serious newspaper for news coverage and article reading, it's worth the subscription.

They don't even let you cancel the subscription through the app, you have to call and wait around to cancel, not ideal if you're busy and don't have time to sit in the phone. A bit of a money trap really

Good: pointers & alerts to new articles. Setting for display font size. Bad: can't find how to retrieve bookmarked articles. No help on this. No search feature in help system - only tells you what they think you ought to want to know (how patronising!)

Love The Telegraph app. Would not go back to paper version. Easy to use. Regularly updated with breaking news. Can look back at previous issues. Superior to apps of competitors.

Dreadful. Second time I opened the app my phone bricked. Had to hold the thingy button down for ages before it would reboot. Then when I tried to cancel my subscription it wouldn't accept my password, and when I reset it wouldn't accept that either. Come on Google monitor these dodgy apps

Improving definitely. However, could it be made like the Daily Mail app where when scrolling down, then inadvertently slightly up (say just lifting finger off), the top bar doesn't career into view, obscuring the text you were reading. The DM app won't bring that into view until you've scrolled up deliberately - at least half an inch or so.

By all accounts this App is excellent. The only problem is finding the time to read the excellent articles which it contains every single day! The puzzles section provide a good brain work out too!. I really enjoy being able to read the ever changing news items on the go as the news breaks. Cannot imagine life without it. 5 stars is justified in my opinion, journalism at its very best!

* also 1 star less for excessive comments censorship* When coming to telegraph app (got app with subscription) from Google news, pressing 'back' button never takes me back to Google, but telegraph main page instead. Secondly, when I'm coming back to app to finish an article after more than 20 minutes, upon loading it refreshes itself back to main page. Thirdly, why articles I've read never come back to 'read next' propositions, often have to search for it manually

Yeah it's okay. The printed edition has far longer articles, they can be a bit on the short side in the app. Also ridiculous stories about the lives of the upper class, who give a .…..? Bit more of a focus on technology would be good. And a better focus on the water companies too.

Worked fine at first, then began stalling, sticking and freezing. Took the advice to clear cache and if that didn't work, to uninstall and reinstall. I am still having problems. Not worth paying for if it doesn't work is it? I remember the good old days of paper "newspapers." But, that's "progress"...

Update: 12 Aug 2024. From one to 5 stars. The app works now as expected and the news, sections/categories and organization, is all good. Thank you for fixing this. Back swipe on android does not exit the app. Are you trying to keep people on your app? Very poor idea. Very poor user experience just on this one thing that got me to come here and give a poor rating! Updated 23 June 24. Two years and telegraph have yet to fix the issue. Reducing to one star.

The app presents a very well organized layout of the information that is easy to navigate, and delivers timely news articles with a range of contributors and perspectives. The Telegraph has become one of my favorite and most trusted news sources; the app makes The Telegraph conveniently accessible, plus it gives me timely notifications of breaking news that alerts me on my Samsung smartphone and Samsung watch - very handy. Thank you!
