Good app for the purpose of following your favorite sports teams but as soon as you click a link from an article it becomes annoying to try to navigate within the app. Press the back button once and it takes you all the way back to home page. If you turn the phone sideways while playing a video it exits the video. Other than those annoyances it is useful for its purpose.

The app is my favorite sports app. Great and intuitive access to sports scores and news. You can customize your feed and the app to see sports that matter to you. The app makes it easy to find out more about a team or player. And the app shows Vegas odds for games. The alerts are relevant and customizable. They changed the widget on an update and immediately fixed it when users had problems. Great app! I do with the widget width was customizable like the height is. Otherwise a perfect app.

Time to uninstall. What was once the best scoring app available, has now turned into one of the worst. Freezes up with ads, delayed scoring, sometimes shows no content after 10 seconds of loading. Terrible what has happened to this app. Used it for many years. After reading through all the reviews over the last couple months, looks like I'm not the only one annoyed either. Moving to Sports Alerts.

Upgrading my score from last year. It is just one of those apps that doesn't seem to argue with you. For the plethora of updates that come in sports that is a fantastic thing. You ONLY hear about want you want to hear about. It's so good that I actually wish there was a notification delay setting as more than not I hear a notification before I see it on the screen. It's only something to complain about because it sometimes ruins the surprise of the goaline rushes. But honestly it's just a statement of the 5 star development behind this app. Thanks!

Used to love this app. However, over time it's gotten slower and slower. Now, over the past few days, I can rarely get it to load. I open it, get the full screen opening ad (of course that loads), and then the ad goes away and stays stuck on the full page "Score" logo. Force stop and clearing app cache worked once... But no longer. Guess it's time to find another app that is fast AND reliable.

Good, could be great. Keep coming back to it because it beats the competition. Could be in the minority here but the alerts has always bugged me. Scoring plays for example. In a high scoring game, I don't want 12 separate alerts with each scoring play, i want 1 that continuously updates. Only place where CBS and Yahoo seem to have you guys beat.

Pretty good app, I like that you can follow certain leagues and countries, especially during international tournaments. The Score does well during the Olympics and smaller sport specific tournaments such as the IIHF world juniors. Edit: I realized the in-app browsing experience for Twitter is really bad. Videos don't play smoothly at all, and there is no option to open in app or another browser. You're locked into the app unless manually copying and pasting Twitter links.

Edit: It was fixed with the next update and has been fine since. OLD REVIEW: "The app used to be great. Now the app will not go past the opening screen. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now it simply fails and I get a message the it has stopped working. I have used this since I was on BB10 and continues once I started using Android. It used to be great."

ADS ADS ADS, AND MORE ADS! I had a rating of 5 stars for this app, but it's all downhill now. And the worst kind of ads to boot, taking over half of the visible area of the screen, or the entiritey of the story so you try to click to get it to go away, and it just pops another ad. I'm not wasting my time on it any more. Here's the final "CLICK" for the Score >----< good-bye.

This is a great app for everything I need. Minimal ads which make viewing scores easier (unlike ESPN which I do use too, but often times looking at scores there it jumps around because ads open and close.. so I go to this app first instead of ESPN). One thing that I've noticed since I got a new phone (galaxy 9+) is the widget is a little funky at times. Often will say there are no games scheduled for my sport until I click the refresh button. Then when I switch sports after a while and come back to the first it says no games scheduled again. Not a big deal to hit the refresh button, but is just shy of perfect. (I've tried deleting and putting the widget back on my screen.)

It started showing notifications for scores for past games that I can't dismiss. I don't know why it's getting very annoying to have my top notification consistently be a score that I don't care about. I can't find anything in the settings that would have turned this on or how to turn it off. Emailed support and I'll see what they say, but if they can't help I'm uninstalling this app.

The best sports news app out there save for one thing: the lag they've either built in or failed to eliminate from their top banner ad, which can frequently lead the user to "accidentally" click on the ad when it pops up right as the user is tapping up high to navigate somewhere else. If it's intentional, it's a little shady; if it's unintentional, it's poor engineering.

Unfortunately, this app is not working. I can't see anything beyond March 17th. I've uninstalled it twice and reinstalled it. No change. It says,'looks like you are having difficulty loading this app. Try tapping this toggle and refresh. Didn't work! I clicked on the 'report a bug' and it took me to my apps. How does that help? Used this app for years without issue. I guess I'm looking for a new app.

Used to be my favorite sports tracking app, but the ads ruined it. They're way more intrusive than they used to be. Every so often while using the app, it will open my web browser to a spam contest website. I tried emailing support about this, but never got a response. I can't use it anymore like this, which is too bad because I like the format of the news articles and game tracking pages. Moved on to CBS sports for now, suggest anybody with a similar experience do the same.

I have been using this app for a long time, and for the most part, I'm happy with it. However, I strongly dislike the changes to what shows up on the Discover feed now which is why I'm dropping down to 3 stars. It used to be a mixed variety of news, but now all I see are short videos from people that work for theScore. If there is a setting to change this, I haven't been able to find it.

App is very minimal on ads, which I personally appreciate greatly. It has great ways to organize news about teams you like across all sports to ensure you only get notifications about stuff you care about. Furthermore, there are optional features such as a real time score display that pins to your notification bar if enabled. Very useful for quick checkup on live games while doing other things. Overall, an amazing app that's gotten really good and consistent feature updates.

Love the app but deducted a star because the multi-sport widget hasn't been refreshing after the latest update. App has full rights and unrestricted battery rights. Uninstalled and reinstalled per dev instructions and the problem persists. After reinstall had to choose leagues & preferences again. Annoying. Use the app on two devices. Deducting an additional star because the app doesn't sync preferences. May be time to look for something else.

Edit after developer response: **Bet mode has been off. It's unfortunate to hear that it gets even worse.** I couldn't possibly care less about sports betting. A good number of the articles on the app are titled something similar to "so-and-so to do such-and-such tonight." The game hasn't happened yet, these articles are pointless. Sports betting has ruined sports journalism. There are more streamlined apps for checking scores

Something changed with the last update. I get bleed through with chat features consuming the comment section associated with an article. Comment sections borderline unusable now. Support gives me a generic response, which has nothing to do with the bugs in question. With that said, I've been a user for many years and had this ap on multiple phones. I enjoy the ease of use and streamlined features. Much easier to access game scores, stats, etc than other aps.

Good sports coverage but bad alerts system. I prefer this app over ESPN because it's cleaner and easier to browse headlines vs scores. I also like the chat thread they added. I recently tried to use the alert system, but the alerts are either too slow, inconsistent or both. Edit: these alerts are almost too fast now. I'm not sure if it's placebo, but either way I like it. 👍
