This is my go-to music app! I use it everyday and I've really enjoyed making hundreds of playlists! Recently, since the update, the search for songs or artists is just terrible.. it used to be so much easier. Now it doesn't even find what I'm typing most of the time, which makes it very difficult and annoying.. please fix to how it was before. This feature should've never been changed. It was a great app before.. minus the Live also which is basically what random people listen to.. idc for it

Pretty good for discovering new music based on tastes - better than others. Audio quality is why I subscribe but there are some in interface issues - the song will restart after not having been played for a few minutes and the Android auto app has no way to shuffle a playlist without choosing the shuffle option after selecting the playlist, so the first song on the list always plays first.

Tidel Connect is consistently buggy and glitchy. I own a few streamers.. and it doesn't matter what I'm using.. bluesound node, wiim pro, etc.. it is always a constant problem. Consistently turning wifi on and off.. consistently deleting the app and reinstalling. It's like it always needs to be woken up and rebooted. How is it possible that when it's playing one artist & I go to switch, the new artist track starts playing on my phone, but the original album is still playing on my system?

Amazing app in all of it's glory. The algorithm is superb imo. My only gripe is the Playlist functions for adding and removing really need some work. For instance, Playlist track recommendations are at the very bottom with no quick way to get to it unless you're on pc. In addition to that, each time you add a suggested song to the Playlist, it refreshes and sends you back to the top of the list just to scroll all the way back again to see the recommendations.

"The record label does not permit streaming of the song" Why do songs automatically gray out and replace with this message when I try to play it? Why can't it be replaced automatically? I have to manually find the song again and add it again. Please have your developers clean the bug fixes. I really want to love this app but the experience sucks.

June 2024. Recent update dropped all functionality from my cell due to horrible static over BT. Even on DL songs. Dozen emails and they dumped me with no resolution. Can't blame Wi-Fi or BT as it still works on 2 tablets. Down from 5* now maybe 3* is too high since I don't keep a l tablet in my pocket. - Rev Updated August 2023. While my initial review of 2 years ago... bla blah used to love the app and service. Now it's a nightmare for me. Even just white noise to sleep audible static somehow

This is horrible. I need to update to the DJ version of tidal and there is no "easy" "findable" very common sense way to change my plan. So now I can't access any of my music to DJ a set. How is there not a simple way to change your plan. Even when I go to "HELP" the link I get only gives me the options to cancel my subscription entirely. But that's not even the worse part. When I tried resubscribe it doesn't even give me the option at that point it. It makes me buy the same plan I last had.

Spotify but way better imo. Left Spotify after they kept removing features I regularly used, and boy was that the best decision. I've never had a problem finding a song I wanted in their library, so far I've found every single song and album I listen to. Offline works perfectly, a classic "works on my machine" because sounds like others have had a problem. And the quality is obviously incredible, finally my expensive headphones are being used to their fullest lol

With most recent update (14 May 24), cannot add to an existing playlist. It's there, in my library, and I can play it. But now I cannot add to it. Tap "Add to Playlist" and that playlist does not show up. Fewer than 150 songs in that list. Weird. Bcuz of reliability issues and "surprises" with updates, I turned off auto update for this app and now create two of every playlist for backup purposes. Too much work. And now that Tidal is gone from my Roku Ultra, it's time to explore options. Sorry.

In the past week, i have lost the ability to view artist's pages, the page for any given album with the exception of the credits, the page for track radios and artist radios, the "mixes and radio" page, in its entirety, all of my playlists through the "my collection" tab (for some reason the Public Playlists tab is fully functional), and my saved artists. The only way for me to play mixes is through clicking the play button on mixes on my Home page, and i cannot click in to preview the songs.

I want to love it, I really do. The quality is real great and the app has a good design overall. First complaint is the music player notification doesn't close when the app is closed. The extra step of closing the app, then swiping the notification, is very annoying. If something else is playing, it's unswipeable! The other mind-boggling issue is if you are playing something, then add a song to the queue, after that song plays it disappears from the queue! Like you can't go back to it! Why?? 😭

I've used this app for years, and it is slowly getting less stable, I swear. It's not only on my phone.. it crashes at least 4 times a day on both my work phone, and my phone. I've been having issues with songs refusing to load, giving me errors upon clicking.. and requiring me to legit restart the phone just to listen to that song. Your app is great but could you please fix the crashing issues? It's been going on for so long that I am sure a fix could've been located by this time.

No option for seeing liked songs by an artist. Spotify has this feature. If I click an artist, I want to be able to see and listen to only the songs I've liked by them, not see their entire artist page. Even filtering the artist in the liked songs list is bad because it just pulls anything sharing a similarity to what you've typed in.

The mobile app needs a quality track section. That way it can play mqa/max tracks only. Because I can't just let a playlist play when there is various quality tracks. Low quality tracks are quiet so I have to turn it up. Then when a high quality track plays it's loud. So I have to turn it back down. My volume control is starting to wear out lol

I love the sound quality and selection, but am SO frustrated at the near constant playback errors! I have cleared caches, uninstalled, upgraded app versions, ensured my devices have adequate memory, etc. Looks like I'm not the only one dealing with this, and for the amount of money I spend to sub, I shouldn't have to be.

I like it, but there are a few things I miss from Spotify #1. I transferred my playlists over which was great, however, I had 3000+ songs in my likes, plus several playlists with ~ 50 and 500 songs in them. I cannot download most of my music #2. I live with my boyfriend, so we always paid for Spotify duo for a middle tier price. Right now, we are paying a dollar more for a family plan which would be great if that's what we needed, but it'd be cool of some form of duo was added.

Long time Tidal user here. ☝️ Lately the app has displayed an error (We've encountered a network issue. Please check your connection and try again. 1:2:2000) I have a perfectly fine 5G connection in the city and it's only Tidal that has a hard time. Every time a song ends, I have to skip the track to get it to stream again because it stops streaming and displays the above error message. Very frustrating when working out. Please look into a fix because as of right now the app is unusable.

I love the sound quality of the music. I'm very happy with the app after moving from Apple music and Spotify. The only reason why it's 4 stars instead of 5 is the UI of the library. For albums, I wish it they were layered in rows of 3 similar to Apple music or having the option to have it that way in Spotify. Other than that the app is great. I also really appreciate lowering the cost for listening to higher sound quality.

It's really not that bad and I only had a couple problems w/playback. My main reason for switching is the poor usability. You can ONLY like songs by unlocking your phone and going to the app. That's a pretty big issue if I'm driving w/new music and want to add a song, and it's just annoying. I also don't enjoy the way it handles albums and songs, as they are separate in your library. You have to add things 1 at a time. Sound quality was great with good headphones, but lack of decent UI kills it.

Confused what direction the app is going. Listening sessions. Fine. My Mixes. Great. If I want to discover music, that seems to get more murky. My Mix, esp. when driving would be great if it had an actual name. Not My Mix 8 but Electronic Mix etc vs me interpreting mini images of artists on a screen. The Radio Station feature is great when you like a song. Noticed that things are often by artist name and not music genre. E.g. setting R&B mood and all of the sudden heavy metal plays. Not cool.
