What are the requirements for a customer to have a Timiza Account?

Who is eligible for a Timiza Loan?
In order to qualify for a loan, you need to be an M-PESA subscriber for more than 6 months, actively use other Safaricom services such as voice, data and M-PESA. You will also need to have a good rating at the Credit Reference Bureau [CRB] and by Safaricom on Okoa Jahazi.
What are the features of the Timiza Loan?
• If you qualify, your loan limit will be displayed when you log in to your Timiza account
and you can borrow.
• Timiza Loan attracts an interest charge of 1.083% charged once and a facilitation fee
of 5% of the amount borrowed for a term of 30 days.
• Loan is disbursed to the Customer’s Timiza account (not directly to M-PESA). The
Customer will access the funds by withdrawing from Timiza to M-PESA
• To grow your loan limit:
o Increase activity on your TIMIZA Account by transacting on other services
offered on Timiza. For example, Deposit cash, Purchase airtime, Pay your utility
bills, Subscribe to Insurance.
o Open and Increase savings on your Zidisha savings account on Timiza
o Increase usage of M-PESA services

This app is just problematic . Can't open it even if you uninstall severally, can't use the USSD code too since it's unavailable . For a reputable bank , this is disappointing.

So far, it's the best app I have enjoyed. No annoying endless calls and threats as long as you pay your loan on time. And no unreasonable interest.

Worse app ever I started saving using the app but it failed to function you download open it and it closes by itself immediately I have tried uninstall and installing again but the problem still persist.Now I cannot track my savings.The app never opens

good app indeed....my first limit was 2000 i repaid it early enough, borrowed again....for today i give you 4 stars.... if by chance my limit could be increased i will appreciate and i will give the last star.

A couple of bugs to be fixed before the app is perfect. The loading times are unacceptable. Links take a second or two to respond, and for those of us who use gesture controls, closing the app is abysmal! Also noticed that zidisha withdrawals now require 24hrs in order for the request to be fulfilled!? Nevertheless, I like the addition of lipa na Mpesa and finger print authentication.

My app refused to open. Tried to uninstall and reinstall but same problem. Launches then disappears. Inconvenient right now

Getting these people to remove my loan limit was an extreme sport to say the least! I wonder why they take data protection lightly. I shared emails constantly with the team, called them , tweeted them....as I said it was a true hustle getting them to remove the limit.

Hello team Timiza, I had a loan limit of 10k , then the app developed login problems, whereby it took long time before being reset, now I can't access any limit since it has been reduced to zero. Any assistance.

This app is amazing but it's very slow... Words don't appear full and sometimes it takes forever to load. But it's a good savings app!

Great app and loan provider. But small issue i had is when repaying loan. I am trying to repay loan and had deposited money to my timiza account and was trying to repay the loan from the timiza wallet and everytime i try it keeps saying unsuccessful. Even through the ussd code it does not work.

I previouly used the app without any problems. I installed the app after changing phones but it doesn't open. Keeps telling me "internal server problem. Try again later" I don't know where the problem is. Kindly help

I've had a serious problem with the app after I updated it a month ago. It doesn't open at all. It just goes off before opening and I've uninstalled it more than 10 times but without any change. I'm giving up on it. Please do something.

Is this app even working? I've been trying to login since I downloaded it for a week now, I have been unable to access the app. Once I input my logins, it keeps asking me to register my security questions even when I've done so many times already. So for a week now am just registering security questions. This is so frustrating. I wonder how Absa is unable to just come up with a good working app. You people really need to be serious.

Your app doesn't work anymore. It has a bug and keeps crushing when you open it. Kindly tell your developers to look into this. It used to be a smooth easy app then suddenly it dead. Doesn't open even after unistalling and red installing.

The app is no longer working if you uninstall and install it again. I lost my phone, got another one, but when I tried installing this app, it failed to open.i have tried all sorts of ways to make sure my phone is clean for it to work, but nope. It's dead!

This is the second time I am updating my review. This app is a throw by all means.It has inconvenienced me by refusing to allow me to just a simple withdrawal to my mpesa for the last 5days . I've followed all the prompts ,entered the pin as required , only to get the message "unsuccessful"... without indicating what the problem is. I am really unhappy and once my small cash withdrawal is successful will never consider putting my money there again. Thankfully I was piloting' the trash app

Anyone not giving this app a five star is not being honest. Of all the lending apps have used, they gave me a loan without asking for personal details like ID photo, next of kin etc. by the time i completed filling personal details, a popup with amount qualified was in place. Lastly, very low interest rates. I intend to keep applying and paying.

Stellar service but does it have many frustrations. Slow app opening time, everything has to take ages to load... UI is somewhat dated. I love the service, I do, but every time I think about giving the app another go I find myself frustrated and just using USSD channel. A sorry pairing really: one of the best services we have with a god awful app to access it.
