Simple and straightforward - just what I want in a devotional. God's word, a short reading to accompany it, and a place to make my notes.

Great daily tool for starting each day. In my years of study, Moody has proven to be some of the most solid theological teaching out there. Very user friendly!!!!

I have enjoyed, and depended on TW for as long as I can remember...I confess that I'm not big on tech changes..I get used to something and prefer it's familiar ways...that being said...I do not like that I can not change my Bible preference to NKJV! So unless I am being, which is a great possibility, completely oblivious to where to find...I am disappointed will I deal with it..of course, or I will just have to go old school..lol. Hope my complaint will spark a change. Thx, and God Bless.

Originally, I only used the app when I was on vacation. Otherwise, I used the print version. Because I gave my print version to a friend, I use the app and love it. I like knowing that I can do my Today in the Word study anywhere I take my phone. It's so nice to have everything just a click away. I do miss having access to the letter from the president and other writings, as well as the monthly Q&A.

Without having to jump through hoops to find it the daily verse opening page does not include the name or the chapter or verse where the passage is even from!?! If a person would like to read that verse in context or even the entire chapter or book, how is one supposed to get there when it is not given. It can be found only if you click devotion on that page...if you don't want to use the devotion...then locating to book and verse in this app is not easily achieved. I'm still shopping

Excellent Bible and devotional app. Love the option to share the verse of the day and how polished the daily devotional and audio devotional are. It's nice to read the scripture and meditate on it in the morning while seeing how it connects to the verse of the day. The notes section is really nice to be able to jot down a few thoughts. Overall, fantastic app from a sound biblically conservative group.

I'm learning and growing a lot in a concise yet thought provoking format. Thanks. ***Nov 2021Update*** now over a year using this app. It is a great tool to help me deepen my Christian's life. I'm especially pleased With the features that let me go further and take notes. Is also the implementation Of multimedia is is this impressive and helpful. I'd love to read the message and The Bible verses then listen To the audio From Moody Bible People. Then take notes how I can apply the lesson.

I like this app because it lets me read the same thing as my wife (who's reading the soft cover book that Moody mails out each month). I am curious... Any graphic artist will tell you that if you want to emphasize something, start by making the font bigger than the text around it. On the devotion page, the largest text is the attribution of the author who wrote the devotion. It's a bit distracting. You'd think that the most important it the Bible passage (which you get to through a link) and the devotion itself. Again, just a curious design choice of what Moody thinks is important.

I really like this app. It's so helpful in taking those baby steps to get you reading God's word. Very easy and quick to read the devotionals in the morning before work. The only issue is that I can't copy and paste the "Pray with us" part. Also trying to copy and paste any part of the devotional does not work half the time. It takes a lot of double tapping before it works. I want to save some of the prayers so I can go over them again at a later time in my life when I may really need it.

Been using app for about 6 months... Good biblical content but app and links to bible readings have malfunctioned several different times. The written content and audio content differs too much. My learning capabilities are at their best when I am able to read along with the audio but that's sometimes impossible with this content. I love moody... Just wish this app was better suited to my needs!

I run a Facebook Christian group. You have so much great information but it's of no use if I can't copy and paste the links into the group, so they have access to morning devotionals. I just struggle with this app every single day to get it to work, too glitchy. Sometimes never loads. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same problem. The update on my app is February 22nd 2022. I still have problems. Does not work for me

I am giving a low rating for the app, not the devotional content. When i use the audio it stops playing. My screen darkens (screen saver)and the audio stops. What is wrong? Also, The audio only reads a portion of the reading. And it doesn't read the suggested Bible reading. I receive the printed version monthly but wanted an audio version. Is it possible to have the entire Bible reading and entire commentary on audio? If so how do i do it?

Early days One problem I found is that it does not seem possible to only have important messages under Notifications. I turned two others off but while the main Notification is on it automatically turns them on again. Since using the app for some time I enjoy the daily devotion and especially that the relevant Bible verses are pre-selected. Bible books in foreign language and nothing to change in settings. Sadly it seems impossible to retain Bible names in English.

Great app - terrific on my phone and now terrific on my tablet. When I first downloaded it on my tablet I got the message that it wasn't configured for my tablet. I always ignore this warning. Opened it on the tablet with no problems but that is as far as it would go. Messed with it for a few minutes, rebooted, tried again and then went on. Next day I opened it again and after a couple of random taps it started working and works great. Love it.

Great app with good features. My only two issues so far are (1) the app always opens to December 1, 2021 and then changes to the current day after a moment for some reason, and (2) the first time each day when I try highlighting text to add to my notes, it highlights the wrong section of text. It would also be nice to be able to highlight the prayers at the end of each devo.

The devotions are very good! It gives you a spot where you're able to write a reflection after the devotion. I love that you're able to do that. But for some reason, I cannot see anything if it goes below the "keyboard" box. It's hard to edit anything or look back at what you wrote ( if it's a longer reflection) because you not able to scroll - at all. When I'm typing this on my phone, it keeps going up so I can see my sentences- but with the Today in the Word App, that is not an option.

I really want to love this app. There is a problem with it though. I want to get the most from the devotions, and I want to share them, but I need to have my Bible open beside me, making sure that every verse is read from the only correct version of the Bible. Revelation 22 warns us not to add to our take away from the Bible. Changing things to other versions does exactly that. I like that the Bible reading can be in KJV, but the devotionals can't be. Please change that so I can keep this app.

I've really enjoyed using the app this year, but often miss it because of time. It's nice to be able to go back and read the devotionals! I would love to see an archive page at least starting with this past year, so that this past years' devotional pages could still be accessible and shareable in the future!!! I missed whole months from January to April before I found the app, and several other months due to illness, and it's hard to get quiet time to read in. Thanks, and God bless you all!!! 🙏

Enjoy this app, it has helped to be more consistent with my daily devotions. But there's one thing I haven't figured out. When the app is opened, why does the default date always show October 1, 2020? This clears in a matter of seconds, but it's just weird without an obvious reason. As of July 16, 2021: The default date still shows October 1, 2020 when the app is first open, and a few seconds later it changes to the current / correct date.

I used to really enjoy using the app but unfortunately for about one and a half months I haven't been able to open it. Everytime I try to open the app on my phone (Pixel 8) or my iPad, it crashes immediately. This is a huge bummer since this was something I used everyday for my devotionals in the past. Now it's simply unusable.
