I love to ride on talking Transit but I have had several issues on several occasions with them because they double charged me they charged me automatically online and then they have been charging me again when I get onto the van and I cannot find any easy way to navigate the website to find answers to get refunds and I spent hours and hours searching for answers to one question otherwise it's fine but it's too hard for me and I'm old and don't want to deal with it

I've been using this app for years and haven't been having issues until recently. It would charge me but no passes. I would get weekly but now I have to get the single ride hoping the driver would let me on because it would stay on the loading icon just to say sorry and disappear. I've even reinstalled it with the same problem.

Hi, I am hoping to reach out to the devs of this app, specifically DETROIT DART as to ways to improve security. I don't want to say it in reviews. however, there are many ways people can cheat the application. I sure hope smart BUS is developing a QR system and stocking their buses with scanners. The current system is going to cost then money if customers figure out how to trick drivers. I definitely recommend upgrading your system for security purposes.

THE worse transit app I've ever used or seen. The app crashed 6 times upon the completion of a purchase on my phone. Each time it returned directly to the home screen without informing me that it had charged the credit card (1st flaw); worse still it did not display any pass nor ticket that I had paid for when I re-opened the app (2nd flaw), making us thought that the previous transactions were not successful and attempted to try again. A total of $38 was charged by the app when we were trying to buy two one-day passes without even showing a single pass/ticket on the app. In the end we had to buy our day pass from the driver for another $20 instead.

01/30/20 So far I've been loving the app, I read the reviews and was a bit worried but I figured out what works best for me. I buy a one day pass at home when connected to WiFi. When I'm out I can still pull up the pass even when I'm not connected to WiFi or data. 03/13/21 love the app still working just have to remember to pull the pass up when connect to wifi at home, now I feel more comfortable buying a week or month pass and not have to worry about wasting money.

This app has saved me so many times I forgot to bring the change to metro station but now, I never buy paper tickets and just use this app. Thank you so much for the developers behind this. This is tremendously useful wherever it is supported. Hope to see it becoming standard way of buying tickets in all metro stations alongside physical tickets.

Over all, it MIGHT HAVE been a 4 or 5 ⭐app. It's simple, easy to use, and has hella good discounts. $20 off 31 day pass, 50% off 24hr pass. I was excited I found this app. Until I went to make a purchase that is. You have to use Google pay. Can't just use a debt card. Google pay is the only option. And I haven't spent the last 7 years SPECIFICALLY NOT adding my debt card/bank account info to my Google account to start now. Definitely a big NOPE! for me .. so unfortunate.. ho-hum!

Waiting for help in resolving two submissions. One about duplication of accounts with new update automatically putting in country code (I think) and not being clear enough (for me) to continue saving for later a bought ticket upon review, rather than using it as I review the saved ticket. When these problems are addressed, I will change my rating. I like that there are more of my visited places involved, though, I find the electronic pass with NFC even more convenient to use.

App never works! Doesn't beep, doesn't indicate anything for the bus driver. I keep having to use visual passes, and explain to the bus driver I've already paid for that trip - and for the 10 local ride pass in the first place! I refused to pay with another form of payment like one of the users below, I'll just keep showing visual passes because this token transit needing to fix their issues in beta. It is a pilot program - improve your user experience before it's officially launched!

It's a good app when it works, however I've noticed it doesn't work well on sunny days, even with my brightness all the way up it won't scan. It holds up the line and the bus drivers always tell me with an attitude to turn my brightness up. When I prove to them it's all the way Up, they try scanning it and it still doesn't scan. On rainy days or at night, it works OK for me but on sunny days? Good luck

Can't use the app without a giving your phone number and permission to text. Edit in response to comment from publisher: There is nothing to discuss. The app opens to a screen with a field for phone number and a checkbox to grant permission to receive texts. That is 100% unnecessary and unacceptable for a public transit app. Fix the app instead of asking people to waste their time with your support email.

I like this app. I need this app. Its a useful app. This app is very convenient - except for when it isn't. There is no reason for a ticket-buying app based on bus region to NOT tell you when the busses are running for free. I have lost track of the amount of times I'll buy and activate a ticket, only for the driver to tell me it's a free-to-ride day. And it happens even on non-holidays, so even if you go by holiday, you're still spending money unnecessarily.

Worked great until today, now opening the pass hijacks my volume controls. It lowers the media to zero without pausing it and sets the volume button to adjust the in call volume. It's a hassle to go and fix it every single time. Edit: it stopped doing it all of a sudden. Now it works perfectly, just like it used to.

Does not work sometimes. I keep clicking my pass that has 28 days left and click it while connected to the internet. Not worth the potential headache or embarrasment. I haven't had this issue until tonight and I tried everything short of uninstalling the software. I will try that next. It was nice not losing the physical pass but that seemed a little more reliable.

This works most of the time. Sometimes the app causes my phone to vibrate and show the visual ticket without the driver actually recieving anything. Then I get a message saying that I'll have to wait 9 minutes or so before getting another chance to scan. This usually happens when taking the express routes through RTA (specifically the 204) and very very rarely through the regular routes. If I wasn't so lucky to have a kind bus driver, I wouldn't be able to board.

Extremely convenient when it works, hence the second star. Usually doesn't work, though, so it's effectively useless. Tried it for a couple weeks, found myself either constantly holding up others trying to get it to validate, or being held up by others who couldn't get theirs validated. Gonna use it till the month-long pass I bought expires, then ditch it. I'll stick with physical passes for now.

This app has saved my bacon more than once when I needed to catch a bus and either didn't have the cash fare or didn't have time to run around finding the change. One suggestion for an added feature that would be somewhat useful is a countdown timer on the page showing the ride pass that counts down the eligible transfer time. I have coded for Android in the past so I know this is a trivial feature to add. Maybe consider it? In any case, thanks for the app!

Our university switched to this, and it's honestly been a source of stress. I should have free busing as a student, but sometimes (especially in the cold) the pass won't load so the bus driver will accuse me of trying to fool him, and then I'll have to frantically find some cash at risk of missing class or not being able to go home. The physical version was so much more reliable. The concept is great, but I think more work could be done to make it less dependent on ideal WiFi conditions.

Barely functions. Bluetooth has not worked a single time and it's slow to pull up the manual screen, so you stand there blocking the bus line tryint to get it working. I use Bluetooth all the time for other things and have never had any issues. Almost everyone else I've witnessed use it has had the same problem. Then the app gets mad because "You can only tap once every 15 seconds." Why!? Technology is supposed to make things easier and faster. This is utter garbage.

So far i've had the same recurring issue, even reported the issue directly to token transit. I purchase through the GET agency, so single ride passes are $1.65. Despite having a strong internet connection, as well as money on my card, taking screen shots of myself activating the passes, and when they'd have a constant loading icon on the screen, and not activating, they haven't actually been helpful. It's very frustrating to use from time to time. Several passes failed to activate constantly.
