Was working fine for a long time, but then started advert push notifications. Uninstall and reinstalled, I jad to repurchase the pro version as well. Now I cannot select components to download because instead of opening the folder, it automatically opens the latest file that has completely downloaded. To say this is annoying is an understatement. Very disappointed with what was a good app.

Today decided to upgrade to the Pro version. However, my excitement quickly turned into frustration as I encountered a persistent "Failed to add torrent" error every time I attempted to download a file. Despite the free version of uTorrent working seamlessly, the Pro version consistently failed to perform its basic function. For anyone considering upgrading to uTorrent Pro, I would strongly advise against it. Stick to the free version, which offers more dependable and hassle free experience.

I thought I already did this... Maybe just on the unpayed version though. Simple, clean, straightforward, does everything you want a torrent client to do, and isn't loaded down with a bunch of nonsense you already have other apps for anyway. Give 'em couple bucks if you can spare it, watch an ad occasionally if you can't. Honestly they are pretty inoffensive on the free version, but I'm still happy to support devs who's work I have benefited from for over a decade.

That Update killed the disability of this app. I like the new look and the old and new downloads being split into 2 different groups helps with finding downloads but that's as good as it gets. Half time it no longer shows progress on downloads and the torrent filses look empty. It just has a "we're waiting on information" screen yet some things still download while others do not. I need the ability to stop seeding again. When I move files they automatically get downloaded again...

Had to uninstall because apparently the "pro version" is incapable of adding torrents. Back to the ad-filled trash that is the free one, I guess. Yayyyyyy. If upgrading in the free version were the same price as outright buying it (no idea why it wouldn't be), I'd upgrade it right now. Lost my business (until this is fixed). Edit: Your ticket thing didn't work, since I wasn't already a registered pro user or whatever. I caved, so congratulations. Keep your dollar, the review isn't changing now.

Never really works properly. It always seems to throttle download speeds or just outright not work. For years I always thought I was doing something wrong but I found a competitor app and id downloaded everything I needed practically instantly and provided much clearer download statistics and information. I will say though, Utorrent web is a completely different story on PC. Works perfectly every time. Shame the app doesn't compare whatsoever

Update 08-23-2022 The new edition is buggy. Doesn't even display the download speed! Same context issues as before. +++++ Update 06-19-2022 Contacted technical support as suggested by the responder to this post. Weeks have gone by. No response. The app is broken on Pixel 5s. Fluid's FREE torrent app works flawlessly. This app is now worthless. +++++ The latest updates have broken functionality. The program will not just close - it restarts. I have to close it multiple times for it to close.

Been using the app for years! Didn't mind the adds at first cause I would just close the app and go back in to stop the add. I purchased the add free version a couple months back because I got tired of being cheap it was only $3. Now I just got a new phone. I look through the app store and the add free version is nowhere to be found. So after all these years, you wait til I purchase the app to now only offer the version with adds.

Do NOT download if you have the most recent version of Android it was crash the second you try to download ANYTHING. It does it on both my tablets, and i updated my phone over the weekend and it opens and crashes instantly. Just downloaded a fresh one on this phone, no change. This app is BROKEN and until it's fixed it is a waste of time and money

Used this client on PC since it's first came out and it's always functioned the way I wanted but on Android this app is absolutely trash... hot garbage, don't know what the issue is with it but on many different phones I have had the same problem lots of times which is that it simply won't download or won't connect to peers. Very disappointing after paying for the app when I could of just used frostwire or Vuze for free which both seem to work great with no hassle at all. So ya, use frostwire.

Please help! I can no longer pause and start playing torrents. I've been using utorrent for over a year to study spanish. I was always able to select a lesson and then pause and play as needed. Suddenly there is no longer any way to pause and continue playing. Why? I even deleted the uTorrent app and paid for the pro version. Still the same problem. I'm in the Android environment on a Samsung Galaxy S8, same as I have been for a couple years.

cannot click anything in landscape view. all current downloads queue when app is in background. besides that works good been using for years. update: I allow the app to use both (battery & data) in background and all app settings are off. not sure what else it could be. ill email you direct to see if we can find a fix... thanks for the response

Best Torrenting App Available; Purchasing the Pro Version 1000000% worth the money. This app is so fast, so easy to use, integrates seemlessly with whatever software ecosystem you toss it in, and is continuously bug-free. I've never has so much as a temporary slow-down of processes within the app, and any files it says it can handle, it can. HIGHLY recommend this one!

Very serviceable, and simple. Would like to see more of the desktop version's features added, especially download location control, but the app is low-cost, and works very well. (I don't care much for the integrated media player, and use VLC for that, since it has integrated volume, subtitle, and other controls. People who are less particular than I am will probably be glad uTorrent has a player integrated – one less app to manage.)

Stick with free ver., Pro ver. is just not worth it atm. Overall, The app still feels bare bones at its current state. Not a lot of features like other torrent apps I've seen/used, so I can't give it a high rating at the moment. EDIT: I deleted a video from a file manager. Then I deleted the torrent file from utorrent. The video would still be in utorrent's video section even though it's not in my phone anymore. May be a possible glitch or bug. Fixed by uninst. and reinst. EDIT2: Slow DL speed :(

Was a 5 until the update. New UI is a visual headache; file names are huge but download stats are tiny? Lost ability to open videos in 3rd party app by long pressing file; and the included player is missing basic functions that are standard in most players. Files don't seem to show up in Samsung Video app either; might be Samsung's problem but no issues on other torrent apps I've tested. Looks like I will be shopping for a new app. What a shame, I've been loyal for years.

5 yrs since my last review. Still having issues with some torrent files not starting after adding. I use magnet links specifically so if it doesn't work here I switch over to Flud and it starts right away. I've tried making settings changes but I've learned it's just best to leave things the way they come. I do add trackers though. It's been around for years and I've always had it installed even when I was paying for newsgroups. Don't think I'll be uninstalling anytime soon. 👍🏻

This app is now horrible!. A good thing does NOT need to be fixed. Developers have once again ruined what was a perfect app. I want to return to the previous version. New UI has become confusing in the effort to streamline...you've created garbage. It's not useful and slower than ever. I want the download details back. I want download customization options back. You became backward thinking in the latest update. Such a shame. AWFUL!!! I can't find a positive thing to say about this. SIGH

I mean... It downloads, but it's not user friendly or intuitive. I have no idea what the buttons do, and there's absolutely no way to tell which files are downloading if the torrent has multiple files. You cannot see the details of download speeds displayed anywhere, and you have to go find that information by clicking a couple buttons every time. No useful information is displayed in the notification bar. They could learn a thing from tTorrent. I wish the later still worked. Little options.

Been using the app for years and it's great and all but lately I've been getting annoying notifications for no reason and I can't turn them off. I don't need a notification telling me i can use the app as a media player or telling me about featured torrents. Until the notifications stop or I'm able to turn off those specific notifications, it'll be a 3 star rating.
