I've tried a few budgeting apps and this is the best I have come across by far. I've been using for years now and I have recently upgrade to Toshl Pro. Developers respond to feedback and actively seek to improve on their app design. Suggestions: 1) Allow editing of categories on the app instead of having to use a computer to do so. 2) Allow shifting of the position of categories. 3) Allow editing of budget time frame without having to delete and recreate them.

I've been using Toshl for years now, it's very good and getting better. I've no issue at all with paying my monthly subscription, I'm sure it easily pays for itself and more by allowing me to control my expenses and put a lot more money aside than I would otherwise. I like that I can access everything both from the app and from any web browser, to work on a big screen when needed. Only thing I miss would be the ability to delete an account without deleting all transactions from that account.

It's a great app that I have been using since 2016 pro paid version. It makes the whole process of logging and tracking expenses very intuitive, especially entering an expense is super intuitive and quick. The team behind the app remain active and over the years have enhanced the apps with features I've grown to love. Each year when it's time to renew my subscription it's a no-brainer decision. Subscription is getting renewed 👍

I've been using this app for over 10 years! An amazing app back then, still a decent one now. It has a very friendly interface. However, there are other apps now which offer the same features for free, or a 1-time cost, that Toshl charges on a monthly basis (ex. recurring expenses, photo receipts, etc). This has gotten me looking for another solution. If a constant stream of revenue is needed for Toshl employees to maintain/improve the app, I would prefer it be generated through ad banners.

Sweet, but some things could be done better. For example the ability of not syncing one of the bank accounts (eg. Supplementary cards which then show twice in the statements), or improve the tagging system which ends up showing the same expense under multiple tags and it's confusing. Also, when we look at the expense reports it would be nice to tap on a slice and see the included expenses, else those tappable graphs are fairly useless at the moment other than providing a very high level overview

This is by a long way the best budgeting app there is. The ability to set budgets on different accounts really sets it apart. The subscription is almost a necessity, but comparably priced with others. That said, it is not perfect. It is a bit buggy when refreshing bank credentials (I shouldn't have to spend as much time with this as I do, I don't think), and I'm currently wondering why it's downloaded transactions twice. The ability to set an income budget would be handy.

Paid for the sub, only used for a few months. bank connection.is constantly broken, and this app is not usable. had to constantly open support cases. I'm. still without a budgeting app at this moment. Well, if the bank can't provide the connection, or constantly have issues. you should remove that bank, and I can look else where, after all, I paid the subscription fee to the app, not my bank.

If it's your first app, maybe after getting used to the UI you'll love it. For me, though, when I try to transfer my data from one budgeting app to another it's a nightmare. There aren't any tools for bulk editing, only merge or delete. Having 10+ accounts, both cash and bank accounts and having to edit transfers and managing duplicate transactions from 2 years ago one by one is something refuse to do. Found out the app used to have bulk editing for Tags and Categories, but no longer has it, which is a shame. If in the future they decide to return the bulk editing feature, I'll definitely switch over. For now I'm looking for another option.

Very nice expense manager. Simple to use despite having a number of options. I am not too fond of their revenue model though. They charge a bomb as a yearly fee for the premium features (not the bank connections). While premium features are good, they are not so unique that justify the high yearly fee. I think there should be 1 time lower fee option for some of the features. More complicated features can obviously have a higher fee. Happy to pay, but not the fee asked for, especially recurring

Holy moly. This app looks promising, but it's so confusing. Let's say I want to add 10k income, of which 8k goes to savings, and 2k goes to cash to budget. I have to make two transactions for salary, because a transfer is counted as an expense against the budget. The GUI is not the best. I thought I could manage, but I don't think I can... I'm lost. Edit: ok, figured it out somewhat, thanks to the web app. But if I had to do this on my phone, I'd rather uninstall. Also, no way to delete multiple transactions? The price is always so much higher than other apps with bank sync. Edit: up to 3 stars, because dev's response help me figure out the transfer. Still, this just shows that the app's GUI is not intuitive. I wish the price was also more affordable.

20.10.2018 - eight months later, basically no new features have been added to Toshl while I've been receiving frequent updates to the other platform that I've switched to including the planning version that was the only feature I used to miss after the transition. 09.02.2018 - I loved this platform for a very long time, loved it enough to wait three or four years for some features but those never came. Dear reader, If you need any of the following features: shared accounts, proper debt management, dedicated travel mode (or labels), bulk editing of records you should look somewhere else. I switched to another platform despite that I've still got months before my paid subscription to expire and the only thing I miss is the planning mode from the web version which was just brilliant and the twisted sense of humor. The transition was neither easy nor seamless but it's worth it since the new app, despite being much younger than Toshl, has a wider set of options and it is receiving frequent feature updates. I still love you guys and I wish you the best but you need to implement the missing features instead of posting another work-around for a feature like debt management on your blog.

It's sad to see an app with such huge potential being completely neglected and abandoned by the developer. There have been no updates for almost a year now, and even some basic functionality has stopped working. For example, it's impossible to find some past transactions using search because the app fails to download transactions older than a couple of months (switching to the "All time" timeline doesn't help, as the data is never downloaded at all).

It's good, but some small bugs. It would be great if you guys create a WearOS app to input quick and common expenses.

Free version looked promising but the exp w/ the Medici account is really bad. A lot of transactions from big bank come as duplicate and almost all categorized as Food&Drinks :)) even if I am tirelessly edit them

It works great for tracking expenses. Not the most intuitive (if you tag something with two tags it shows up double in places). I did subscribe to the Pro version for multiple budgets. I don't link it to anything so I can't speak to how well that works. It would be 5 stars but you can't delete tags and categories which is very annoying. Especially when you can't delete a tag that you typoed and then made another one spelled right and now they're both still there ☹️

Hi, the bank connection feature is a God send.. it saves me a lot of time I used to spend tracking my expenses, thank you very much... With that said, there are two issues: 1) the auto tagging is not suitable for every one, please add an option to disable it from the settings. 2) Some expenses are counted twice, I cross checked my bank statement which shows only a single transaction whole the toshl shows two. If issue#1 is solved I'd give 5 stars right away, issue#2 can wait. Thanks again.

I think I have finally found the perfect app for managing my personal budget and finances! The only thing I wish is that there was a tab to show upcoming bills view, and an easier way to transform an expenditure into a recurring bill or add reminders. If that is just a feature I'm missing please let me know. I will then give this app a 10 star rating!!!!

It pays for itself. It makes you realize how much money you are overspending, create a budget, and the monsters are really cute. I've tried different financial planning apps and this is the best one by far, friendly, easy, automatic, you can load accounts from different countries. I've been using if for about 4 years now. With the inflation and the market going wild as it is doing now, this app becomes essential. I really love it. Specially on the computer. Mobile graphics could improve a bit.

Clean interface, ad free, unlimited device sync, supports fingerprint unlock, allows automatic download of transactions from bank accounts and credit cards, current account balance view is a good replacement for a paper checkbook register, you can export all your data from Toshl to Excel or Google sheets, has multiple category budget tracking, ability to customize monthly budget start date, responsive developer and support team, reasonable cost for Pro subscription. UPDATE: Now that the planning view is on the mobile app, not sure what new stuff they have coming. Nothing else I've found beats this.

Not a bad app, but I just wish there was a way to combine expenses and income. For example, if I spend $80 on fuel for transporting something, but make $200 on transporting it, it would be nice to have the option to make those subtract and show I am $120 up. This could be done by budgets having the option to pull income as well. Maybe I am missing something, but I don't think I am.
