The app does seem to be working like it use to.. alot of "it's taking longer than expected" and we end up just walking in and shutting it off or the other issue when leaving and forgot to set it on the way out...were unable to for the same reason!! It shows it's updated I don't know what else to do at this point besides delete the app all together!!

Total connect 2.0 App for Android does not contain privacy mode feature to shutoff feature. So when you come home and turnoff total connect the cameras are in privacy mode and you don't have the ability to retire this feature on the Android app. You need to access Total Connect 2.0 on your internet access. This privacy feature should be available on the 2.0 APP

Today was on web version on chrome for android and it enabled partitions despite my having done nothing. That said, i have around 65 zones (sensors) and it would not show them all while now using the "show all bypassable" and "show virtual" i can see them all and its better in that vein. As for the android app, it only opens in landscape mode which is irksome.

Update: this app continues to get worse. Have to attempt to alarm 3-4x before it doesn't give you a failure error. I hate it and will happily be ditching my alarm company in 6 months at the end of my contract to make sure I never have to use this thing again. Glitchy. Slow. Takes forever to update status after you've armed alarm. I usually have to log out and back in to see if it works. Will also say it didn't work but alarm will actually be set.

This app is terrible.. it has extremely long load times every time you make a selection, requires a central station subscription (IE you cant self monitor using the app for free), and frequently times out. I replaced a cheap china system with a honeywell panel and this app thinking it would be more robust, but I'm seriously considering putting that system back in. Its app was much more responsive, and was free for self monitoring.

This app is c@#p, and it has been for years. It routinely tells me that it can't communicate with the security system even though the system has in fact been armed or disarmed (and I have received the SMS and email notifications in confirmation). Then I have to complete a "force stop" and clear the app cache to get the UI to show the actual status of the system. Very frequently, it will take forever to complete a log-in which seems to have nothing to do with network conditions.

Lousy customer tech support! For the most part the app worked well for me with all my Samsung Galaxy phones. I upgraded to a Samsung Z flip 4 phone. There is a coding problem with the app for this phone. The keypad to input alarm code only shows the numbers 1-3, not 1-9 and 0. I have emailed support many times. Finally, they reply saying they need my Mac address to fix the problem. I send that to them and 3 emails later from me asking for advice and help I cant get a reply from them. LAME!

UPDATE: the May 11 update doesn't run the scene I have programmed for the thermostat. UPDATE: The 2 March 2021 update resolved the problem I reported in my previous review.. This app worked like a charm, until the most recent update (mid-February). Now I get an error message: "Device not responding. Please make sure it is connected." I can operate devices from my Lyric control panel, so devices ARE connected. The latest update is a MAJOR failure, and makes the system useless.

Latest update creates Geofence problems! Geofence alerts used to work fine (alerting me if my security system was disarmed as I left my designated geofence area). However, shortly after installing this last update, I regularly get those alerts WHILE STILL INSIDE MY HOME! Doesn't seem to be any pattern or trigger to these false alerts, and they are no longer reliable even when I really have left the geofence area. PLEASE fix this - was a handy feature I've come to rely on.

The newest update totally messed up everything!!! Garage doors wont open or close any more. And now the app only opens for a split second before it crashes. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times, reset my phone but nothing fixes it. Its seriously DISAPPOINTING and annoying especially since everything worked perfectly until they updated it. Urghjj PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

Good features, can't silencer app. My phone is always on vibrate, but this app always makes an audible default alert. I can turn off push notifications, but I still want those alerts. I just want it to vibrate and respect my phone's settings. Otherwise, fantastic and useful app. Has made life much more convenient in a few ways.

Total Connect 2.0 App is badly broken and Resideo does not really care. Still Broken after last update! Nope you can't code an App!! Actually running the Total Connect 2.0 website on the Android's Web Browser works flawlessly. Apparently your coders for the Android App can't write code! Home Automation broken, App takes forever to load, etc... The browser loads fast and works like it should... The app is Pathetic!

The app was working well for past four years. The issue started happening 2-3 weeks ago. When I tried to disarm or arm the alarm, sometime the error said invalid user code. Sometime the error said it has trouble communicating to the panel. As soon as I manually armed or disarmed the alarm on the panel, I saw the updated status on my app. When I ran the ethernet test on the panel, everything is okay. And I haven't changed the passcode for the past four years. And yes, I tried clearing the cache and reinstalled the app, but I still have issue.

Not too bad when it actually works. 7 months later still 1 star - would give zero if I could. Slow connection times/time outs, skybell live stream issues are better. w Genie/Aladdin integration is still broken and numerous contacts with support are ignored. I even provided a video recording of the bug. They should rebrand this app to Total Ghost 2.1 because if you run into a problem they totally ghost you. I would avoid any system that uses this app.

I'm not sure what the Aug 2 update fixed, but the connectivity issue is now more than before, with a red line thru antenna indicating, most of the time now. Update 03/24. App and web interface can not connect to panel. Seems this has become a back burner problem for the company 04/24/24 issue remains "unable to connect" .

Says communication failure whether on wifi or cellular. Sometimes I can get it to arm or disarm by repeatedly pressing the button.. Sometimes I have to press button , refresh, click OK half a dozen times and then press button again. Sometimes I have to repeat that. I don't know why it can send the request through the cloud and try a couple times on its own rather than me having to do it manually. It also asks for a review every other time despite already having provided one.

I really hate how poorly this app works. It takes forever to connect. Sometimes it doesn't even connect at all. If you switch from Wireless to Wi-Fi, you have to re-enter passwords and BS. Or just log out and start over. And it's practically impossible to get this thing to sync up with the panel. So if you have any Z-Wave devices and you update a scene it's basically not going to work unless you struggle for a couple of days trying to get things to sync up. Also good luck trying to control them.

After closing the OHD with the manufacturer remote or the app it takes one or several minutes to display the closed status. Worse, when I remember I forgot to shut the door, the "Activity" tab shows the OHD CLOSED and the "Devices" tab shows either Open or the red message telling you that you have to fix the stats and no info on how to fix it. Sometimes "Syncing" will fix that door and sometimes it will indicate that both doors need "fixed." Both doors have new batteries in the on door sensor.

This app is ok. Needs some work. When my alarm is sounding and I need to shut it off, it's glitchy.. sometimes it will disarm other times it needs to be reset, sometimes it needs to be reset several times before it works. When arming the system, sometimes it seems as if you have fully armed your system, but you better check! Sometimes it doesn't arm. It constantly asks for a rating, which is truly annoying when you have left a review and a rating already.

Had little over year didn't fill adequate in comparison other security systems; but this changed quickly. IE I'd inquire of zooming lens. W/in 24 hrs. TC not only responded with knowledgeable options, but ask my opinion and allowed me multiple choice responses. In other words, let's proactively fix this here & now . Instead of the usual emails back & fourth wasting valuable time. TC is improving by the minute.
