Speed test
The speed test of the Traffic Monitor shows you the speed and latency of your UMTS, LTE, 5G and Wi-Fi network on a speedometer, separated into upload, download and ping speed. After each test you receive an assessment of your result, comparing it to users in your region. So you can find out if you surf the net faster or slower than the rest of the world. All speed tests are archived with all details and can be accessed anytime and viewed on the integrated map view. The archived data helps you to recognize speed variations quickly.
Coverage
Discover the reasons of bad network performance with Traffic Monitor! The coverage map displays network availability depending on your current position. The network coverage of each provider is shown on the coverage map for select countries, with more countries added over time.
Roaming
Avoid unpleasant surprises after your holidays. Traffic Monitor detects foreign networks if you are abroad and shows dedicated roaming counters. So you can always keep an eye on your roaming usage.
Data usage
Monitor your data usage in a self-specified period of time. Therefore you can set all your details of your data plan like the starting date of your billing period or your maximal data allowance. You can also choose between weekly, monthly or 30-day billing period lengths. Traffic Monitor measures your data usage in general and by app. So you are always well-informed because Traffic Monitor warns you if you have exceeded your specified data volume. In addition, data usage abroad is shown separately so that you can track your roaming charges easily.

isn't the plus version a paid for app? so what you're basically doing is downgrading us to an app with non customizable rubbish widgets & running off with out money! are least transfer the features of the plus app to the ordinary one! I'm sure it won't be long before others realise & complain to Google!

This is a well designed. and surprising it's so easy and quick. Of all the apps. of this type (wifi speed and coverage) this puts them to shame. If it is accurate the results on my phone and network really surprised the hell out of me.

Quality screen shows: "Something went wrong"! Please let the Roaming cycle use the billing cycle, not just the last 30 days! An option to deactivate the app and activate it again when data and calculations are needed, in order to save battery, is highly requested.

Still on 06 Feb 2023, i can not configure my plans, can't import and export to save the files. Update and fix the issues. Best features ever but please improve the further features e.g show all time data history without a plan like summary of 1 year and all time data used, secondly add the feature to export data and Import the data, to new mobile used previously all time history.

I tried this app. Not happy with the accuracy of calculation. I used the video streaming for 30 mins with moderate quality and I could see the Traffic Monitor app reporting 1.3G of usage. When I looked into the apps list it showed the streaming app consumed 700MB. But there was a System Traffic app showed ~600MB usage. I am not sure it rightly calculating with the fact

Fantastic app to use when you see your data usage in the month is high or for example when you notice apps that are not supposed to use lots of data if any, all in a sudden are using lots. I can't say enough to the developers Thank you for this app and for the amazing price people you can't beat free with no annoying ads. Thank you all. --open disclosure though I just got this not long ago. If I have any other thoughts, good or bad I'll post another review. Until then thank you again.

Would be nice to have 1x1 widget with daily data too, not just billing cycle. Maybe even on 4x1, or switch possibility (swipe double tap or something like).

This looks like an app designed to be a quite useful addition to the native Android data counting features. However, it has one fatal bug which makes it unusable for me: it is inconsistent in its counting of data transmitted when using a phone as a WiFi hotspot (to clarify: the phone on which the app is installed, acts as the WiFi hotspot). In this app, the amount of hotspot data is counted twice in the Mobile usage card, and in the "Limit warning" notification. Paradoxically, clicking "Show details" on the Mobile usage card *does* show the correct amount of data consumed. As WiFi hotspot is my main data consumer, this makes this app unusable for me as long as this is not fixed. (This is on a Huawei P Smart running Android 9)

Just downloaded your app There is no yearly plan option so tried using 'disable' for this option and it doesn't work. It keeps reverting to one of the other options provided, monthly or weekly etc. Cant use custom option either as this doesn't give you a yearly range of dates either. Otherwise ok, although the widget isnt very inspiring. A transparent background would be a big improvement.

This is a really well-designed app. I just moved and am without WiFi for a couple of days, and this helping me keep an eye on my data usage... Edit: it is quite ridiculous that the entire app refuses to work without loc permission, and a bit suspicious. Also it measures d/l speed at 0.0 often enough that it makes me question the accuracy of all it's numbers.

So far, so good! I like that this app gives almost all info about my connection when I feel that something is wrong with it. It shows speed, coverage, data usage by both a connection type and apps as well as the total usage. It also shows some phone system parameters. It would be great and would cover all needs if also current connections would be displayed. This app is not for professionals but regular users just like me; thus, the information displays conveniently.

needs ADB/shizuku option to root. needs to support open source maps/mapping. needs to fully ID connected carrier cells by radio, including MiM/"stingray" vulnerable cells. needs to ID & notify connections to rogue MiM cells. otherwise, a very promising app. seems to run AOK on Andro14/OneUI6.0.

Please have translucent mode (transparency mode level setting) too for the app widget when dark mode is chosen for the widget. I can set transparency background level for the widget at 90% out of 100% and even set transparency background level for the widget at 100% out of 100%. Blends in nicely with the wallpaper. Mar2024: Remarkable trustworthy app that even tells you how much data each app uses! Mar2023: New phone. Sadly app gives only total data usage for dual SIMs. Oct2022: Amazingly accurate & indispensable! Highly recommended! Best app ever! Used it years. It's always exact like clockwork & prevents extra Telco charges. Allows me to set data usage limits, alarms & billing cycles for different SIM cards in 1 phone. It is Ad free, too! Thank you so much, Dev & Team! Keep up your fantastic effort!

Does what I want for data usage monitoring, but I do not like being forced to enable location to use it. If this was given as an option instead, I'd give it 4 stars. To get 5 stars, I would also like a widget I could place on my home screen that showed 2 progress bars parallel: one for data used and another to show how much time is left in the month. This gives a clear indication as to whether you're behind or ahead of the allotted data available every cycle.

APP DELETED BECAUSE DEVELOPER CAN'T FIX SCRAMBLED WIDGET DATA AFTER 4 MONTHS & A COUPLE OF UPDATES! I shouldn't need my speed testing location mapped, shown on the "Device" screen or intrusivelyy shared with others to use this app. Displaying the registered city location of the IP address leased to the device by a service provider would be far more useful. Also, the wider widget has jumbled characters making it unreadable; the app author has been notified.

The ability to check trends in mobile data usage is what I value in this app. Would prefer the "analyze your usage" screen to retain my choice to view just mobile data. I don't care about wifi data usage, but *every* time I want to see which apps are using the most mobile data, I must use the drop-down menu to change the focus from "all" to "mobile" data. Just let me pick a default for this! Also would like a widget with bars for mobile data (used vs. data quota).
