Gameplay is very limited from the very beginning, unless you are willing to spend money. I gave the game a 2-star because I wish I could enjoy the game much more without spending a dime. It's extremely slow-paced, long ads will hardly help the players progress, rewards do little to nothing, and it's most certainly not a game you can spend much of any time on in each session. I really want to give it a 1-star.

would be more fun if the pay wall wasn't reached in 20mins. Then every day you can play for 10mins without having to buy something. Why can't a game be made where you don't need to buy stuff to play? EDIT: I am still playing the game. I play it once a day for about 10 minutes. takes hours to recharge fuel, passengers, and repair trains. yes I wish the paywall wasn't so hard and abrupt, but the game is still fun, while you can play.

The game is fun, however due to fuel and durability mechanics in the game, you can only really play for about 5 minutes every 5 hours. Fuel should really be delivered more frequent and trains shouldn't have their durability fully depleted after only 3-4 trips, the real money cost for these 2 things is way overpriced and in general the real money costs of things in the game is absurd: £16 for a train, and that was a "special offer" really?! I can buy full games on PC for less money, cash grab...

After continuing playing, I'm increasing my score 2 stars. Once you increase your durability, fuel efficiency, and power on your engines, the gameplay is much more enjoyable. Also, invest in freight cars - follow your track from the factories to the left, and you'll see the building. These cars will increase how much cargo you can move. Another tip - always try to keep your warehouse as empty as possible by shipping out goods in full trains on jobs that you may not be actively working towards.

Good game. Found bug when collecting pop-up materials when loading trains: sometimes cannot collect when tapping on the "reward". And more bugs as screen freezes and more pop-ups are stuck, won't load/open. Having to reboot, which erases my rewards, including those for event and main storyline. Played great for couple weeks, but now repeated bugs are occurring, that result in losing progress rewards, etc.

I downloaded this game on day 1 of its availability. So far, it's a mixed bag for me. The graphics are nice, the storyline is nice, and their 1st event is nice. However, I think it should've been called Train Station V (5). In all honesty, you play for about 5 minutes, and either you're out of fuel, your trains need fixing, or both! I keep on upgrading my trains and even have 3 maxed, and yet 5 minutes is all I can play. It's NOT the laid-back, relaxing game that TS2 is by far. Game uninstalled.

5* for graphics. The scenery and train models are amazing! -1* for making your trains use fuel, very quickly! -1* for durability of engines and having to fix them so quickly. Each time you send your trains out they consume a lot of fuel and lose durability. I understand trains do this in real life, but not this quickly! Play 15 minutes then wait 1 hour+ for fuel and repair... unless you pay for fuel and tools. Feels like a cash grab!!! 😞

The monetization can be a bit heavy handed sometimes. But, the game is good looking, it actually makes me feel like I'm playing with trains instead of just 'number go up', and perhaps best of all, the gameplay is made so that you can play the game for a bit then put it away for a few hours then play some more. It doesn't cater to having to be babysat every moment of every day, something that I find fantastic.

I was a fan of the first two games and so far like this one. The system takes a little time to get the hang of, but is pretty fun. Unfortunately, I am deducting a star because of the aggressive monetization. I understand that as a free to download app, they are reliant on microtransactions, but this is the only app I've ever used that will open the store tab every five minutes. I see the cart in the corner, you don't have to open the page of $50 bundles that I will never buy repeatedly.

Pros: The gameplay is fun, especially once you've progressed a couple years in the game's timeline which only takes a few IRL days of moderate playtime. The train selection is good, the environments look good, and the storyline has been fun. Cons: WAIT TIME... waiting for fuel is fine. it renews at a reasonable pace throughout the day... but trains being in maintenance after just a few runs completely ruins the experience for me. Your game sessions can last as little as 5 minutes.

I wanted to enjoy this game, stayed playing and they got me a second train, sweet. kept playing and I didn't have time to be disappointed by the fuel or the maint of the trains. No I got stopped because because I ran out of workers and it takes 20 min to get 1. So not only do i have to watch fuel, maint, storage, but also how much I can produce. This game has taken all the fun and games and replaced it with very unrealistic timers. I have to call a hard pass.

Great game, but a bit restrictive. The graphics and mechanics are amazing, but not being able to play for more than a few minutes at a time due to maintenance and fuel restrictions is frustrating. Hopefully, that will improve as I level the trains. As a TS2 player, I understand the balance, but this can be a put off for new players. Considering, there are other transport RPG games on the market without these restrictions. Keep up the good work, Pixel Federation!

Graphics are great. I like the shorter delivery times, but fuel & durability are gone pretty quick. I spend more time waiting for things to replenish than I do playing the game. I feel the longest stretch I've been able to play at most is about 15 minutes. I also think it's stupid how you get opportunities to increase factory output, which requires more material, but you cannot upgrade your warehouse as quickly. or that they don't give you more space during events

Timers are Brutal. The game looks great, and the small story elements are fun. But the number of timers that have been added are ridiculous, especially fuel and "workers". I don't like playing games for less than 5 mins only to wait 3 hrs to play again. And on top of waiting for fuel, I have to click to receive it? Login every 20 mins for 1 click then out again? I get these things are natural for "free to play" pay walls, but this is insane and is definitely going to damper my enjoyment.

There's too many fiddly things to track that don't add to gameplay or fun. sending trains is restricted by time, fuel, cars, durability of the engines, and tiny warehouse space. And then you have to wait through a train loading animation and unloading animation. These things may be "realistic" in some sense, but they're not fun. The other problem is that while the buildings are more realistic, they're mostly brown and harder to tell apart.

Around year 1938, you run out of ways to make money and progress the story. You need to level up trains due to power restrictions for some missions. Leveling up costs money and parts. Well, parts are only awarded through completing missions. Money is only awarded through completing missions. So essentially, if I wanted to continue, I would have to spend real money on in-game currency and parts just to progress to the next stage of the game. Uninstalled for poor game design and blatant greed.

It's a good game that definitely can progress without spending money. And that's good be the prices are ASTRONOMICALLY high! I mean, seriously, u can buy a full triple A game title on Steam for one train. 🤯 they say its a fair value because of the extras they give with the train. I'd pay maybe $5, but $22? No way. It's not it's a mobile game that limits your daily play time, not a full console or PC game. I wanna spend my money on the game. I like it. It's just too expensive.

I actually like most of the layout of the game and understand the reasoning behind fuel times and maintenance. However the balance is off the fuel is manageable but the maintenance time is way to long. Don't get me wrong fix the time it takes to fix to every 20mins to 3hrs not 1hr to 10hrs and the game would be 5 stars. But I get you want to make as much cash which you. Could make a subscription for unlimited fuel or maintenance and be more attracted then kits that don't fix 100%

As other reviewers have said, this is a major step backwards. All the hype from TS2, YT, etc. made us believe it would be a huge improvement from the previous two versions, NOPE! Not worth it. Play Railroad Empire instead. Much more fun and this seems to rip their idea off with poor execution. TS2 also has become a cash grab. They have so much stupid money they can make videos of their real life replica. All the while you could get more out of Steam's Trains Sims. So sad!

Great potential killed by being a money grab. This game is very promising but as others have stated their pricing for some of the in game items is OUTRAGEOUS. When you're not waiting for fuel or maintenance the game is captivating but I would rather be waiting for a job to complete than to be waiting to send another train. From what I've read maintenance "costs" alone for the trains as the game progresses get ridiculous. I considered buying the starter pack but this game seems too greedy
