More About Troll Patrol

"A Troll's Tale - Troll Patrol" is a puzzle game which combines the tile-matching and RPG genres by offering a unique experience: Play as the last defender of the threatened troll den where vicious village people and heroes from far away castles and kingdoms knock down your door.

Fantastic spiritual successor to Dungeon Raid! I'm glad I bumped into this. I'm also glad I found the 60fps toggle. Pacing and sound are very satisfying. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the visual style, but I guess you can't have everything and at least the animation is fun.

Edit: 5 stars for a super fun game! The comment below was addressed. It's a fun and challenging connect-three game! I don't like that you have to choose between continuing with a character or sacrificing it for tentacles, though.

Fantastic game. Easy to approach and simple at first, but the complexity expands at a steady pace and keeps you thinking. Very unobtrusive ads... But I'll give them my $3 anyhow to get the ad-free version and support the devs... This is worth it!

A very good match 3 games, there are bugs and lacks of information for some items (how does you use spell as a mage for example) and also the 30seconds ads are just a big turnoff. But despite all that in still coming back from time to time

Fun game! I have really enjoyed it, and love that you can make one simple (and inexpensive!) purchase and get rid of ads. (Edit: Came back to the game and signed up for their cloud storage service. Actually really easy and no issues. Nice job!)

Saw the video, this game looked really fun. Went to try it out and it doesnt work. Died repeatedly as collecting the swords didnt actually kill any of the mobs. It showed the animation of them being attacked and they never took damage. I can clearly see I was collecting 3 swords doing about 12 points of damage. Each patrol had 4 and 0 armor, yet not a single one died. Over and over the board will fill up with patrol and I could no longer do anything and died. Sorry but this game.does not work.

Fun and simple but you can definitely strategize. Hard to afford your first upgrades though. Maybe make stackable upgrades cost differently depending on how many you have. For instance, the first upgrade to base attack costs 10 tentacles, then 15, 20, 25...

Blatant copy of the classic Dungeon Raid, with an unnecessary upgrade system, worse level scaling, worse art and annoying fiddly controls. Even so, Dungeon Raid was an excellent game and this seems to be the only way to play it these days so it's worth a go despite the changes.

Needs a better slider imo. Not very fluid, and is such a pain to correct, and occasionally doesn't register properly. You could try looking into "Flow", which has a similar dragging gameplay, but a lot more fluid imo. Solid game, a rare find amidst the mountain of cashgrab garbages :)

Unskippable video ads. Can't stand that garbage. There are so much better and less intrusive ways of earning money from a games. Edit: ad started, couldn't skip it = unskippable. Simple. Offering part of the game for free, selling the rest after people can see if it's good, even simpler. This currently is not a distribution model for me, I can't stand it, deserves no attention from me and like-minded players, so I gave it 1 star.

Oh my gosh I finally found a spiritual successor to Dungeon Raid. I haven't played past Wave 3 but so far all the strategies I used in Dungeon Raid seems to apply pretty well here. I'm not far enough to comment on gameplay on higher levels, but one thing I would wish for is just more visual contrast between the icons. Like the coins and enemies are both light and round, which makes it a little harder to identify when I play with a blue light filter on. Love it and look forward to updates.

The game has horrible balance. Enemies scale way too quickly and the player needs to get lucky enough to get multiple damage upgrades to survive. But if you keep taking damage upgrades you start having problems with leveling up due to the lack of xp/coin upgrades. You level up slower and slower and at a certain point, you start falling behind in upgrades and die. Is it a Dungeon Raid alternative? Yes. Is it a good one? Absolutely not.

It's dungeon raid! But with some neat additions, buying ad free was very low cost, no insanely high purchases so it doesn't feel like a cash grab. Been waiting for a good game in the lines of dungeon raid for years as it no longer worked on my phone, can't wait to see what the blueprint system is like as they seem a cute addition. To me it's perfect, and I'm up at 4am playing it...

Brilliant game, been playing for a couple of weeks now and can say it's one of the best games I've played on mobile, simple enough to jump in and out of for casual play but also has some decent depth to it. Ads are short and non-invasive, they don't force micro transactions and the art style has character and charm my only suggestion would be to try and make it smoother/easier to connect tiles, occasionally ill miss one or two even though I thought I dragged through it, but other than that 10/10

I really like this game. The gameplay is fun and challenging. I dont have any problem when I register and log in to my account. Im totally okay with ads that appear after dying in the game, but there are few ads that have very loud sound and I cant lower and turn off the sound. It really bothers me. Could you please fix it? Im okay with other ads. Thank you for creating this game and have a nice day, devs!

I like the mechanics of the game, as well as the graphics and sound. Getting killed by a group of enemies because u have no swords is poor. Extremely difficult to make any progress as rewards are minimal, and can be lost. I regret removing ads as progress is even slower. Whilst it's fun to play the lack of progress will make me lose interest. Tired of dying so early with no way to avoid due to random tiles. Sorry dev. Uninstalled.

Edit: The developer fixed this issue very quickly when I pointed it out on Reddit. Great dev, great game. After swiping, there's a short one second period where I can't swipe again. I have to pause after each swipe or it won't register. This absolutely destroys the flow of the game.

There is some fun to be had here and the mechanics are fine, but this game suffers from some significant balance issues. Enemy health and damage typically increase faster than the player's ability to keep up with them. The weapon tile is also so much more powerful to the player than others that if an insufficient number of them drop during a boss fight, the player just loses. Enjoyment quickly turns to frustration.

I can't stop playing this game. It's a very addicting match 3 or more game, but with a lot of twists. You can use one sword to attack one enemy, you can match diagonally, it has both luck and strategy moments for sure and a decent difficulty to continue past wave 5. I wish there were more death sounds for the enemies because just the two sounds at the rate you kill enemies is a bit annoying. The other audio is great! Also there's no p2w items.. I can't even find a cash shop.

Since Dungeon Raid seems to have vanished, this game was a nice surprise to stumble into. The Gameplay of the original is preserved, which I appreciate very much. However, I find the graphics inconsistent in style and quality. The original had no character portraits in game, and the monster tiles were abstract symbols. I felt that served the original game well, as it left room for the imagination and allowed a greater focus on appealing (albeit static) symbols. Still a great game. Great work!
