LOVED the game. I played the demo and was like yeahhhh definitely buying this, then beat it in 30 minutes. The game is absolutely awesome but I wish there was quests for after you beat the game besides just the infinity train. UPDATE: The achievements do not register to your Google play account. You gain them while playing but once you close the app they disappear like you never earned them. Please fix this i have probably every single trophy yet no actual points from the achievements.

One of the BEAST adventure games for mobile I've ever played. Definitely worth the price for the full version. It's not super challenging, gameplay is STUPENDOUS, and there's still more to do after you "beat the game." Many hidden easter eggs, you can fight the big bads again, it's just awesome.

Very fun. A game you can play offline. I thought I had finished the game. And then days later I realized there was more to play. It's cute and fun. Only thing is certain movements in the game are frustrating but maybe they did that in purpose (when moving things through portals they sometimes end up in an angle hard to move to where you intended)

This is one of those games where you think it's just plain stupid only to find that it has deep lore and honestly funny, wholesome moments. Much more worth it than I thought it would be. A nice story and fun characters, with a "boss rush" at the end to allow some replayability. The controls are great too, not too complicated and easy to handle and memorize. Finally, there's collectables, from documents to hats, to keep you busy even if you've beaten the game. Definitely worth your money.

Pretty good game overall. Love the options to make this game accessible for more players, the stylization, the music, and the plot. Only problem is that the achievements don't stay achieved... It's near constantly notifying me of my "new achievements" even though I got all achievements in one sitting and there's always one to three secret achievements that won't stay achieved

Very fun and funny game that's extremely worth the time. I have it on Switch, and I will say that overall, the experience is a little smoother on there, but I was excited for the mobile port so I gave it a try too! My only gripe is, my achievements are wacky - they don't show up on Google Play and I keep getting re-notified of all of them whenever I unlock a new one. Maybe it's because I downloaded the free version, then upgraded? Fix that and the mobile version's an easy 5 stars!!

Turnip Boy is something like a Zelda-lite. New areas become available as needed - but with events more often than items. You go around helping the veggie citizens with tasks and lost items. You explore dangerous abandoned structures. The "lite" part is also very applicable. The difficulty is light. Most dungeons take as long as a cave in the old Gameboy Zelda games. And the humor is definitely light-hearted. Definitely worth the modest price. I'm having lots of fun!

Fantastic, short game! Loved the ost, especially. The moment I walked into the Weapon Woods and heard the track change, I was hooked and ready to purchase the whole game! Pros: easy to understand and UNIQUE mechanics, auto save feature, tight storyline, the MUSIC. Cons: exiting the game puts you back to the start of the quest line (with all your items), cutscenes aren't skippable, kind of hard to keep track of side quest npcs and items. Otherwise, this game was a blast to play!

From what I played Cute and funny game casual game that has features reminiscent of early Zelda. I think I would love it but not having a D-pad in the controls options, kills it for me. The "stick" is way too inaccurate and slow to react to directional inputs. Equipment swap and selection should be simpler and smoother (not double tap to select ) Think I could really like this game but I'm already too annoyed to want to go further than the first "boss" at the moment

The humor and references are an point. The gameplay is fun and puzzles are hard enough to be enjoyable. The story is great with an a plot and b plot . The controls I would say need work though. The swapping of items could be done much better. Two slots would work better I think. Play with a controller if you can. Mappable buttons would be nice for that too but the controls are fine. I got used to I. All in all, a fantastic, enjoyable game.

Very cute and funny! The controls are weird and often inconvenient. If my finger slides while using the joystick to move, it opens the inventory menu. When trying to switch items, I kept closing the menu without actually switching it because it requires a double tap. It would be a lot more convenient if there was a slot system with a button for each item so that someone could select the item to use quickly and easily. Otherwise, excellent design and fun concept. Made me laugh a lot!

Fun game. The main game is probably less than 4; hours long, but it has some boss-rush+rougelike NewGame+ that gives it a couple hours more playtime just on that alone. I love the aesthetic of it. I think the price tag for the full game is a bit much (≈$5+tax that you have to pay after beating the first boss, so at least you get to see if you'll like the gameplay, although it isn't much of a peek into the game) (plus you can't avoid paying sales tax for the game! isn't that the whole point?! 😋)

Humorous dialog, entertaining story, cute characters, epic boss fights, fun puzzles and of course, tax evasion. Truly everything a game should be, my only complaint is that I can't experience the story again for the first time. I've recommended this game to all of my friends, and I'll continue to recommend it to anyone that's looking for a fun game to play.

A very funny game. The demo is tight. Edit. It was so intriguing I bought the game. A very cute and funny game. The items and puzzles are cool. I preferred the sword over the Shovel tho. And there's very little replay value outside of combat. Very difficult to get that last achievement. But it isn't a waste of money. Very good game.

Adorable game, I was excited to see it on the Playpass since I had before only played the demo. It's a cute little Zelda style game with talking vegetables and a Mafia storyline, plus there's an after-game with an infinite dungeon (train). My only complaint is the achievements; they don't work, both by failing to register and deleting them every time you play. I would totally redownload this and play it again if I saw this was fixed (maybe with a DLC?). Really great job, keep up the good work!

Great gameplay, silly characters, and fun little secrets - everything I'm looking for in a game. The only real problem I see is that it's too linear - like, there's only one way to do things, and if you don't, you can't win. Maybe you could add an addon where you can rob a bank or something to pay off your debt. Maybe you can add some actual dialog for Turnip Boy. Maybe you can use the manga that Cran Cran gives you to translate what Kakyoin is saying.

After finishing this game, i feel i can confidently give a good review on the game. I will try to keep this review spoiler free. The artstyle is this really charming pixelated art, with cute vegatbles npcs. The story, while sad, is also very interesting. while the idea itself isnt all too uncommon to see, it still feels fresh. The only issues i have with this masterpiece is that 1.) there is no fast travel. Because of the side quests, you have to travel back and forth, it gets really tiring.

Nice game. I beat it too quickly, but I think this game was built for more casual players. So the challenge and the gameplay time is just the right balance for them. The story is quick into the point. The dialogue with the characters is funny. So this is a nice game. Turnip Boy needs more problems some more games can be made lol

I downloaded the game as a preface to play it during flights. On the 45min flight, I was able to clear the "free trial" because the devs placed a literal wall in the game that forces you to purchase it and make it a joke. What a sham for advertising it as a free game! Plus it's expensive for such linear gameplay that you have to do step by step without any deviations. The game is cute but boring.

I saw there was an option to pay for the game on the main menu but I thought there was 2-3 levels before I would have to attack that. I beat the first quest and hit a "paywall". Just sickening. If you want 5 dollars for your game don't make this "free" to start with. Just ask for what you want... waste of time and dumb game with no quest or next step help on what to do in the game if you take breaks or forget.
