. PRIVACY BY DESIGN: twinme doesn’t ask, store, or use any of your personal data. You do not need to subscribe and provide any personal information to use twinme.
twinme is about the only messaging app that does not use your phone number (no email address or social network ID either), and that does not snoop into your address book to suck your contacts’ phone number and other private information.
. PERSONALIZED CONTACTS: you can choose what you disclose about yourself to each of your twinme contact individually: your name, your image, which you can change at any time. You control how each of your contacts can reach you (or not). Since your contact information is personal to each of your contacts, it cannot be transferred to nor used by anyone else. You are in full control, whether you interact with a close friend or a complete stranger.
. PERSONALIZED CALLS: twinme video calls allow your contact to see you in live video BEFORE accepting the call. You can thus create a live emotional preview of your call by simply long pressing the video call button.
. PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS: all conversations happen in peer-to-peer with no relay server storing contents in-between devices. Data exchanged always stay within devices. Messages and voice/video calls are end-to-end encrypted . You clear all messages of a conversation on both ends simultaneously in one tap.

. FREE WITH NO ADVERTISING: since twinme does not access any of yours or your contacts personal information, it cannot be used for commercial purposes. Unlike most other messaging apps, you are not a product.

Have one of your profiles’ invitation twincodes (QR-Code) scanned by a friend next to you or someone you just met, or send it by text, email or any other means to a family away, or post it to your website or tweet it to your followers: you decide.
If you don’t want to continue a relationship any further just remove it from your twinme contact list, and he/she cannot reach you anymore: no unsolicited call, no harassment, no spam are possible with twinme.

It's a good app! I love it, but when I delete the app it doesn't work when I download it again, why? Can you fix that? Without the upgrade or anything, for free, because it's unfair that whenever I delete it never works!! So please fix it, I need to call my friend before going to my homeland

My main issue with this app occurs when sending media files, specifically video. Once sent in the chat it takes a very, very long time for the recipient to receive it. Many times it may take an hour or more. I don't want to have to use a different app though. Aside from that I'm really loving the app, not picky about much else. Thank you. Edit : Thank you for the quick response. I will check the website out.

Awesome app, it's the only one i found that is truely free and not try to read address book. Wishlist: 1. option to open the app in conversation tab rather than contact list. 2. allow creating shortcut on home screen that jump directly to a particular conversation 3. gif/animated gif library 4. for some reasons my voice session speakphone mode is not very loud even on max. 5. a bit more info on msg status/who received in group. 6. storage usage seems high (2x of WeChat)

I so wanted to like this app. It looks beautiful and highly polished. Unfortunately it just doesn't work. My partner was sitting next to me both on same WiFi. Sent social invite (to test), accepted. Contact added. Send message. Nothing. Send video or voice call, rings but cannot answer. Tried BCM for comparison. Contact added via social, message sent and delivered immediately. Phones are Samsung S9 edge and OnePlus 5 both running latest Android 9. Sadly, I can only rate 1 star.

It is very good but low upload of videos, sometimes the answer of the member comes late or not after my answer but his own one and the bad issue I think is the groups doesn't allow u to have more than 10 members (I hope it can be resolve it soon bc I like to work with it). But the rest is very good. I like a lot this apply. I am looking forward to see how they can improve it. I feel it will have a great future

The app is really good. But, there are minor issues. 1.Like the app sometimes crashes when I tap the gallery icon in a chat to send a picture. 2. Msgs are being received or sent little late. (surely not a problem with network) Except these things everything works well. 👍 ZONE - INDIA (ASIA) PHONE - XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 4 (global version) ANDROID NOUGAT.

First, why are there no editing options for messages? Please include an edit option for messages as well. And second, the time of each message is not displayed next to it. This program has another problem When you open the profile photo, your profile or others' profile, shows the image in half... meaning the white screen at the bottom.

Its a great app. Just one issue. Only when you open the app it gets Network access and starts working. Why doesn't the app take permission for network access by asking once and for all. It will enable the app to receive messages anytime otherwise only when the recepient opens the app they can receive messages. Basically, I have to text the other person on whatsapp that I have texted them on Twinme. Then they open the app and then the app gets network access. Please look into it.

Excellent but needs to prioritize voice playback and enable sending files. Voice interruptions are worse than video interruptions. It's understandable if the network is simply too slow, but the video stream should not be prioritized over voice. It is basic communication. Voice is more crucial for it.

Good messaging app in the making. An essential feature for me is missing, which is local/cloud encrypted backup in case you lose or break your phone. However I contacted support it is the plans, at least the backup part. Very quick reply! Auto-disappearing messages would also be most welcome.

Read a review where someone said recipients sometimes don't get messages outside the app. I can confirm that issue. It's not about the messages being stored. It's that once you leave the app to do something else on your device, you get no notification the other person responds. Clean app but the notification issue needs to be fixed.

Bad with new version ,It often puts the conversation on loudspeaker without any input ,just by it self. Could you pls take a look at this ,all of a sudden call gets really loud by it self and goes through the loudspeaker on the phone which can be embarrassing? Furthermore as from the 19.4 quite often can not make a call,it says connecting forever and does not establish a call. It is not a 4g wifi issue because it does it on both. Use to be a very good application before the last updates

Too good app for social messaging, very very private and secured. Very satisfied with app but only negative point is it takes too much time for sending or receiving media files and that too when arrived in chat window, it appears where sender has started sending like if after sending pic, we started chatting, pic will be downloaded up somewhere before chat and you ve to scroll upper to find Everytime, otherwise this is the best , simple but clear. Just correct this.

Does not save the pictures or videos, and it takes ages to get delivered and received, network is not an issue we are using 4g network, have done all the settings still the same and now recently facing sound notification issue its does not ring even though my phone is on ringer mode and rest all apps working fine. This app works fine only if you want to chat.

The app sometimes has an issue with delivering messages even when both the sender and receiver are online, one person sends the message to another but it doesn't deliver to the other person for hours. Usually this issue used to arise may be once in 6 months and used to go away like in a day or so with some little fixing Usually by clearing chat but now this has come up again and its there for a week now sometimes its working sometimes its not. Really becoming non reliable

I used to love this app a lot. But now it rarely works. I am getting messages without any problem but to make a call it shows connecting and a few sec later it says your call has been terminated. Everytime its happening and the only solution is every time you also have to uninstall the app and install at the same time. So far I foegot how many times I did that. Strange fact is, the developers yet to solve this issue. Please solve this and make this great app better again. Thanks.

I appreciate the concept and the options built so far. Need to work on below things for a 5 star rating. 1. There are no setying available to change the font size and type for the conversation scree. 2. The message sent/receive time not available. 3. The crashing of the app while selecting Media in the chat. 4. Reply option to the messages to be added. 5. Application performace to be improved. The concept of the app is much appreciated. 👍 All the best guys. Hope these will be implemented soon.

Good effort, but still needs some work. Connectivity issues are still very frequent. Thanks for fixing account migration (I would suggest for the user's peace of mind that the interface of this feature explicitly differentiate between sending and receiving device). And please update the store description regarding the deprecation of the video call preview feature (long-pressing video call button). Thanks again 👍

I really like the concept but there are some minor issues: - The app doesn't support Vietnamese *displaying* so I get error characters (sorry, not *typing* like I wrote) - Lack of emoji & sticker samples and self-destruct timer. - I can't find where to adjust notification sound and text size. - The external speaker volume is too low, almost the same while turning off.

I do appreciate the intention and work behind this app. The idea is brilliant indeed. But there are some issues, i don't know if it's just for me. 1. Messaging is not instant. Even if I am connected to internet, I have to open the app to see my messages. I gets the notification after opening the app itself. 2. It doesn't ring when someones is calling me. Just accept/reject option. 3. Needs night mode. It's actually a suggestion.
