This is a nice BlueMail-alike. However, I can't give it more than three stars because I cannot open an email from the inbox without having to go out, clear my open programs, and then go back into the app. Even then, sometimes I will select an email and it won't immediately open. It will take a full two seconds of appearing to do nothing before it pops up.

I've used this app for a long time with no complaints at all. Recently however it won't load previously-opened messages already in my inbox 90% of the time. This is especially problematic because I would think emails already downloaded, opened, and staying in my Inbox would be accessible but they aren't-- awful for time-critical items. I can't depend on this app at all right now. If it's an important email, I have to screenshot it so I know I can reliably access it later.

The app is simple, powerful, and really got the job done. It was, and still kinda is, the best app if you had multiple email accounts across different providers. Older versions of GMail didn't have that. But that's recently changed. But the main problem I have is with notifications. It only sends a push if something's in the INBOX folder. I tried every setting I could, but if something drops in different folder, I don't notified. That's a dealbreaker for someone working in IT.

I used to love TypeApp. But this morning, I sent an email (long and extremely difficult to recreate), and it just VANISHED INTO ?????!!!! It's not in Outbox, Sent, Drafts, Junk...nowhere. Tried 3 different clients plus browser and desktop options, on multiple devices. The text is GONE! Plus, I'm now finding that it has slotted several critical emails into "Drafts" when I hit "Send", for months. And gave no warnings that they weren't delivered. This is an utter disaster. "Update" ruined it. Beware

I want email to look like email and not some social text app. I'm emailing, not texting. That's how it should look. Thank you for keeping email looking like email. All of my email accounts in one spot. I cannot praise this app enough - lifetime user! I love how I can group together all email from a specific sender and see/delete them independently. Very useful! NOTE TO ALL REFRESH CRYBABIES: Everytime I open the app I SIMPLY pull down to refresh! This saves so much battery vs auto refresh ;)

I handle several emails and love it. To do something like put in a graphic is okay, but archaic. A little more user friendly would go a long way. I purchased the add on bundle. One, add special ring tone, is deceptive as it states that it used the contact list; it DOES NOT! It uses the inbox addresses, not IMPORTANT CONTACT LIST! VERY DISAPPOINTING when one needs to scan every email address to get to the one wanted. The SEND LATER option is cool, but it's not able to be adjusted to an hour.

Oct 2020 Update Five years later, it's just not as shiny as it used to be. It's slow. Sooooo slow. The spam filter is very ineffective. It often fails to update the inbox without being manually triggered (yes, battery opt is Off). Did I mention SLOW? Sept 2015 review An email client, seemingly simple, is actually a very challenging tool to design. TypeMail excels in every way. I've tried many, CloudMagic, BlueMail, SolMail, K-9, and others, some of which are excellent, but TypeMail simply ou...

Revised review. This app worked fine for a while and then stopped downloading my email or some of my email. I uninstalled it. A few weeks later I installed it again, and again it worked fine for a while, then stopped downloading all or part of my email. The second time around, I noticed that it was adding to every one of my emails a line saying "Download Typeapp" with a link. Annoying. I don't want my email to be anybody's advertisement. There was no global way to remove this line. I'm done.

Type App email works fairly well on my Galaxy S22 Ultra and my Tab S8+, BUT, ever since OS V13, graphics in some emails are very slow to load; VERY FRUSTRATING! Also, nothing new regarding additional features that would improve Type App: 1. I would like to see added is the ability to save an email as an event in my Google Calendar. 2. Another feature that would be useful is the ability to be able to delete multiple clusters, (that are not associated with each other), at the same time.

I have yet to find a serious fault with it. It's really clean so it loads fast which (since I get lots of emails per day) is one of the more (if not most) important features for me...yet all of the other features have also been flawless so far. Somehow the devs managed to pack features and a beautiful interface in such a clean, light, competent, functional, and economical package. This level of quality takes both skill and heart! Keep up the good work!

Edit: Have to take away some stars. App is having difficulty managing draft emails and showing emails that have already been sent. My clients are receiving the same email multiple times. So much better than the one that came with the Galaxy S5. Haven't tried it with all email accounts, but definitely works well for one, and is nicely customizable.

Update: Been using Type Mail for years. I even use the desktop version I like it so well. There are no ads which is cool! The only issues I've had with it is when I empty the trash folder it doesn't register as empty especially on the desktop version. The trash folder can be completely empty and it will still register there is emails in there. Also the mobile app keeps bugging me lately to write a review which I've already done. Good app. Would recommend.

Type App is a great app for email. It's among my favorite installed applications. There are a few things that could use work. 1. Emails arrive in my inbox and simply CAN'T BE DELETED. The app reports that the email isn't available. It is still shown in the preview. With 5 or 6 of those present, valid emails are displaced off-screen. 2. Trash and archive folders don't delete in one action. A refresh is often needed to delete remaining messages. "Delete" should actually clear these folders.

This was a great app. I use this only for my work emails. I still use Gmail for my personal emails. The app works great. Push notifications work. However, every so often it does not retrieve my emails. I think it is when my network password changes at work. Although I update the password on the app, it will not sync. I have to delete the account & set it up all over again. Very annoying. Also too many updates. Now it also doesn't sync with my Google calendar.

Update: Has been constantly crashing all the time. No tech support, just a "report issue." Not sure what the developer did wrong but it's extremely unreliable. Love that this app mirrors my Web mail, not only in what emails I have read, but it captures sent mail too. I love the thread feature too. My only wish is if it was easier to paste urls, which I do a lot of.

Features galore for sure! Technical support unfortunately 👇 the drain. One particular feature this application has which is invaluable when switching phones is a backup sync for your email accounts. How cool is that, right? Who likes to set up and enable all your email accounts all over if you switch your phone's over. But guess what? It doesn't work. Email technical support as I have eight email accounts to sync and you know what their answer is... one day it might work. Not acceptable.

**A few times before and every time since the last update** Type App freezes for a second and then closes. This has been the case every time I go through and check a few emails accross multiple email accounts. This happens so often, that my email providers think it's a scam. I have to re-authenticate my log-in and am asked to change my passwords at least once a week. I've had this app for years and is my go-to email app on every device I upgrade to. In its current form, it is broken.

I have tried literally dozens of email app, from native ones to third parties. Some are poor, others have good features etc, but truthfully, none come close to the functionally nor esthetics of this mail app. It does everything one can want. I highly recommend this above all others. IT SHOULD BE THE NATIVE APP SUPPLIED WITH EVERY NEW PHONE. The developers are quick, polite and highly responsive. This is the premier go to app for email, bar none!

Update: After a week, the devs finally got around to updating, and the send button is back. A week. Really? Not cool. Added one star for the fix, keeping the other three for bad response times and inability of devs to stay on top of their own app. Lots of issues over the years. Original: A recent update has removed the ability to send mail. There is no send option. Do you folks not bother testing before you push updates live? This is a pretty inexcusable bug for an email app.

I used to love TypeApp to be able to have all email accounts in one place and the emails sync properly. BUT my desire to continue using it is rapidly diminishing because I've been having some issues and emailed support numerous times with no response over 3 months...not even acknowledgement. What happened to tech support?! It's not reliable nor responsive as it once was. 🙄
