What is Unmatched?
Unmatched: Digital Edition is a tactical game where each player commands their hero and sidekick(s), using a unique deck of cards, to defeat their opponent on the field of battle.
The rules are simple. On your turn, take two actions which can be:
- Maneuver: Move your fighters and draw a card!
- Attack: Play an attack card!
- Scheme: Play a scheme card (cards that have a special effect).
Get your opponent's hero to zero health, and you win the game.
What makes the game special is that each hero has a unique deck and ability. Alice grows big and gets small. King Arthur can discard a card to power up his attack. Sinbad gets stronger as he goes on more voyages. Medusa can damage you with just a glance.

Edit: The update fixes the card issue, they are now a decent size and are readable, upping the start count to 5, looking forward to more characters and maps Original: Plays great, but the cards during battle are tiny and impossible to read which really hampers the experience. It's basically impossible to properly play when you can't read the opponent's card. This also makes it difficult to select how you want to play if your own card has multiple options.

The gameplay is great but the fact that random people can invite you to matches means that I get bombarded with alerts after finishing playing the app. It would be better to either block this all together or have a setting that allows you to limit requests to be only from friends.

Has glitches that need to be fixed. Would be okay if free, but this is not. Sometimes you can't see all the cards in your hand, so you have no idea what ypu have. Tried reporting, but says can't connect to server. Unless they address, I will just stick with the board game version.

I never played the physical version of this game. No one in my family or friend circle is into these type of games. I was always interested in learning. It is so worth it. I played tutorial and it all makes sense. I did purchase the season pass. Can't wait to learn and hopefully play online one day. Don't hesitate and get it.

The app was fine (albeit glitchy) until the last update. Now it's unplayable. The AIs have become ridiculous. They don't attack heroes, just sidekicks, then they maneuver until they run out of cards and die. And when playing 2v2, the game freezes whenever a player controlled hero dies.

the gameplay is great. and it's tons of fun. I'm giving a low score because they don't have every single add-on/dlc characters. I use to own the Jurassic Park ones and those are super amazing. miss those.

Great game based on the board game itself. If you are buying this to play by yourself and use the online, then you'll enjoy it, but sadly, it doesn't have a pass and play option for offline local multiplayer games. Switch users would be able to get their friends into the game a lot easier if that was added. Root

Nice implementation of a "cute" pvp card game. 3 stars coz I bought the game on steam and on Android (ok different platforms) but the f-ing season pass which I bought works only for the android version regardless the same credentials for login on the two platforms. Take the best game for example: through the ages. I bought the expansion on steam, I have it on my phone as well. Same with hero realms. Trying to take my money with more microtransactions makes me feel stupid and you look cheap.

Overall a well made app with a great tutorial! However the cost is what I am not a fan of. First I pay quite a lot for the most uninteresting set of Unmatched and then I need to pay twice as more for the pass that only includes 8 more of of 40+ (and only half of the 8 I am interested in). Also - would not call the Medium AI powerful enough to be called medium. Plus - why is Alice having a Slavic accent???

Not enough fighters and maps. I think they should create all the fighters and maps in the digital edition with the option to buy them, but also give each player the fighters and maps he bought physically. The board game is one of the best in the world, no reason for such an average digital edition... Besides, I would love to have the Unmatched Adventures's game mode...

(edited, I managed to fix the issue) Loving the game, but cannot seem to add my friend in game (I hit add friend but his name stays in lower list and not in friends list) , although I can add any other players fine. Maybe he accidentally blocked me. How can he unblock me? **I fixed the issue by adding, then removing, then adding my friend again, might help others with same issue**

The Problems have not been solved... The publisher keeps leaving this game as a buggy mess. The creators of unmatched have already said not to buy thus game!!!! Servers are horrible and makes the games unplayable most of the time. Servers keep crashing and many times, the characters get stuck wrongly waiting for the other player to make the move, making the need to exit the game and reenter the game.

Bought this on my old phone along with all the dlc and when I switched phones I can't play any of the dlc. Would be at least 4/5 if I could. Yes I'm using the same account for both base game and DLC. The developers reached out and helped me get it working! thanks guys. Still a few random glitches but it's getting patched all the time

Game play is great and runs well. That being said I hope in a future update they add a zoom function during combat to read opponents cards, it can be tough to read on my phone. And I think the skin recolors at $3 are a bit expensive. I'd probably pay that for alternative sculpts.

The game is fun, but has a handful of bugs that soft lock the game. Almost as of the opponent doesn't know what to do. Or if playing 2v2, your partner will just starts running and not using cards. Would love to see an option that lets you take over for your partner or opponent and choose their action if you're having issues.

Love the game, just reporting a bug. I have a recording of a combat between Sinbad and King arthur (1v1 against easy A.I.) the combat goes in a repetitive cycke with no end. I keep watching the first action of the AI attacking me and then winning, over and over. The game does not proceed. I can send phone recording to whomever need be.

Great app. Plays nicely. Just like the board game. Can't wait for more characters. Only problem is boosting cards. Does not work smoothly. Needs a button to select boost rather than drag. Spend a lot of time trying to activate boost but it hardly works or doesn't indicate you are successful. After playing more I'm now finding the ai hangs about ten percent of time. Quite frustrating. Also, season pass characters lock if you don't have wifi connection which sucks for airplane flight. Fix please!

Very solid digital adaption. Great tutorial, quick matches, AI seems competent enough to put up a challenge. Haven't played it online yet, but looking forward to it. Only real complaint is the lack of characters included in the base game (just 4 from the first Legends set). Might check out the DLC down the line if this ends up replacing my physical copy.

This app is great when it works. Sometimes the game just gets stuck and can't fix itself. This happens probably about every 3 or 4 games. Other than the times it just doesn't work, it's a well designed app. Could definitely use some updates and polish though. The AI is also pretty dumb. It will routinely throw ranged characters into melee when there are obviously better positions for them to move to. It's also overly aggressive. If it has a single card it goes for an attack, even if it's bad.

It's a bit glitchy. Every game I've had so far has either been kicked out of because of a glitch or won't let me go back into it. Looking forward to those getting fixed. Still very glitchy. Sometimes will not even be able to lad back into the game. It keeps going to the loading screen, even after closing out of the app multiple times (which is a problem). Looking forward to the next update to work on those glitches. :)
