I've tested over 40 note-taking apps, trying to find "The One." UpNote isn't quite perfect yet (e.g., no collaboration), but it HAS become the app I use for *everything*. Perfect alternative to Evernote (w/o the bloat). Intuitive UI. Unlike the glut of Markdown apps out there, UpNote has rich text (colors & highlighting), unique formatting tricks & a great Formatting toolbar. Can be a tad buggy (formatting quirks). But dev is quite responsive. Bought a lifetime license to encourage development.

MUST HAVE APP! After several months of use, it's completely replaced Evernote for me, and works much better! The full version is definitely worth it but I would prefer a one time payment instead of monthly subscription. Also, we need to be able to format text when sharing from other apps, such as sharing links from chrome. You have to open the app and edit the note to add header text or bold/italic, which gets time consuming. Still 5⭐ for sure! Beats Evernote and any other note app

Evernote is TOAST compared to this lovely beacon of hope. In fact, it has much of early E's usability, but builds on that legacy with more intelligent features, a much easier interface, and WAY more reasonable pricing. It is an incredibly promising platform as it currently stands, and one can only hope it never flies too close to the sun as its predecessor. Only requests - let me swipe open Notebooks for easier access, & determine a page I want the app to open on. Thank you for this lifesaver!!

It's good but the using the bold, italics, and crossed, or any of the options while writing can be very buggy and annoying, therefore the -3 stars. When you press on the options on with what you want to write it doesn't work and once that happens, you can't use it anymore on that note and you'll have to remake it again. So yes, very buggy— it's a decent app, but not as much good as any of the others being quite, very buggy and certain things don't work; Or so they do but then it breaks.

Easily a go-to notes app, it's fast and smooth. I do a lot of tinkering and having an app that I can simply edit or take notes with is great. It's not clunky, it functions perfectly and I have yet to witness a problem with any services within the app. There are multiple formatting types and it's great. There's not a single thing that this app doesn't do for me.

By far the best note-taking app. My required features are infinite nesting, customization/clean interface, & cloud backup/markdown export; in addition, the UX/UI allows for complexity without being overwhelming, & there is cross-platform sync and many other usability features. The only thing I’m wanting is some kind of notebook categorization; I’m thinking of Raindrop.io’s groups & headers in sidebar. I was happy to pay for a lifetime purchase, & the monthly subscription cost is very reasonable.

I got this app after using Evernote for a long time. After switching to UpNote, it made me realize that I was subconsciously very unhappy with Evernote, without even realizing it. UpNote's lack of ads and clutter in every way is extremely relieving and refreshing. I even had to go looking for the upgrade button, something I experienced in a while! Everything about this app makes me so happy. It really made me want to pay $30 for lifetime premium, and I'm so glad I did. Thank you so much, UpNote!

Upnote is excellent! I've been trying to get off of Evernote for years and this is the first one that sticks (notion is too slow, don't like OneNote, Keep is too simple, markdown editors can't get sync right etc...). Upnote really checks all the boxes for me- fast, clean, functional. An Android widget would be really nice but not a must. Free tier is plenty, you never feel forced into the paid tier. I ended up upgrading to premium to support the devs. Thanks for all your work!

After using several similar apps, I have settled on UpNote as my main app to handle To Dos, projects materials, and resource/reference notes. 1. Fast and good looking. A pleasure to work with, especially the Quick Access view, starred items, and adding color to my notes. 2. Truly cross-platform (use it on Windows, iPad, and Android) with good synchronizing functionality. 3. I like the ability to easily search within and across Notebooks (think folders). 4. Premium support cost is reasonable.

I switched from 7 years of Evernote; it's slow and so expensive now. I keep poetry, recipes, notes, data, goals, journals, and more. I'm a writer, musician, creative and coder so a note app is a huge part of my daily process. I've tried *many* note apps and none of them were good enough for me to switch until UpNote. I love the colored font, intuitive and minimal UI, device sync (I use PC/Microsoft and Android), and notebook nesting is vital for me. The price is so fair, even generous.

Another Evernote convert. It's been months of looking for the right note-taking app and I'm finally settling in. It's so snappy and prioritizes a quick note-taking experience but also pretty rich in features. But not too much so where it distracts from actual note-taking. I've tried Obsidian, Notion, Joplin and other and while they're great for some people, UpNote is the best for me. I'll be using for all my personal and professional notes for now. Hope they add collab features soon.

I LOVE IT. I've tried so many programs and apps for getting organized and managing projects; business and personal. Notion, Evernote, OneNote, Odsidian being just a few. Upnote is by far THE BEST. It's so intuitive and complete. It's perfect. In fact, I love it so much I can't stop fiddling with it! That's a first for me. It's really saved the day and I finally feel confident that I can stop searching for my system, and just get on with filling it up with awesome stuff!

The notetaking app I've been looking for! Talk about seamless syncing between devices! I have UpNote on my phone, tablet, and laptop...and it works beautifully. Versatile and esthetically pleasing! The UI is smooth and easy to navigate. I have tried many notetaking apps over the years, and UpNote became a fast favorite in a matter of minutes! I immediately upgraded to Premium. It's more than worth it, and reasonably priced, IMO. Amazing app!

Had to have tried (and often retried ) 50+ notes,2nd brain ,etc theme apps . Upnote wins ,hands down. There's no perfect anything, never mind a notes app but what this app does, it does almost flawlessly. If I'm comparing Upnote's features to others, and not itself, then, yeah, it's perfect.

Has potential. I have been trying to find a note taking app, this almost meets all my needs. I would like to be able to move the checklist and collapsible sections so that all the entries don't look the same, like how OneNote boxes can be sized and placed anywhere. There are some bugs when using a mouse and/or Dex; you can't collapse or open collapsible sections or check off checklist when using a mouse on an android tablet (Galaxy S7) -and I do have the latest update. It's been almost a month since I used the app, and I can assure you it's ahead of Evernote (I am an Evernote switcher) if you're taking light base notes, especially the table cells combination, then it's the right app for you. Launches way faster, syncs immediately, easy UI, and the developer team responds in no time. I became a premium member on the third day. I highly recommend it.

The issue with the cursor jumping partly persists after th e recent update. The app will select (seemingly random?) text in the note far from where my cursor is when I start to type, so as I continue typing, it erases the text it had selected on its own. This is with the OpenBoard keyboard, but the keyboard does not do this in any other app. I would also really love to be able to set reminders to revisit notes and improve recall.

Just switched from Notion. I run a handyman business in my retirement and use this to keep track of clients, jobs, expenses, etc. \UpNote has a much cleaner interface and makes much better use of available screen real estate. Notion is designed to be very collaborative, sharing stuff within and among teams, but I don't need that. Syncing with my laptop is instant. User guide is excellent, but it's so intuitive it's hardly necess This is a winner. I just bought the lifetime membership.

Upnote is the absolute best for me. I can get disorganized quickly, and for example, OneNote had a beautiful presentation GUI, but for me I have troubles moving notes around. I'd write an entire note and then decide, this belongs under a different category. I'm unable to move my notes around freely. UpNote is so easy. I can move notes into other categories other sub categories, with total ease. Well thought design. I just love this Evernote was better b I'd have to take out a bank loan to use it

More like UpGOAT. My work involves recording info and occasional photos at various locations, often with poor or no connectivity, and having that info synced to my PC. This app does everything I need it to quickly and efficiently. Works great offline, syncs to my desktop instantly when I'm back online, and has no trouble on my relatively slow and janky phone. It does everything I wanted when I was looking at Evernote and Obsidian, but UpNote was faster, better, and simpler for me.
