This app doesn't work. Everytime I tried using it to open something, it would show a button to push but it never opened anything. I'm deleting this.

I find this is the greatest idea. I have recommended it to all my friends who navigate and wish to file URLs and come back and recommend.

So, I've been having trouble opening URL'S, so I came to this page for help. I did what was listed "Most useful first" and it STILL didn't work. Please help, I have 3 URL'S to find.

This is the crappiest scam I've EVER downloaded it said to open a URL but for some reason needs photo,calling,and mic permissions.... Why? ITS NOT A URL VIEWER ITS A FILE VIEWER! IT TAKES FILES THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE IN YOUR GALLERY AND LETS YOU SEE THEM! DO. NOT. DOWNLOAD.

Works very well. But why does the app need the WAKE_LOCK and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions? Read permission is perfectly clear, but write? And why keep the phone alive? Uninstalled in an attempt to extend battery life.

As others have said, it works as it was made to. For those experiencing issues, I can understand that there may be technical issues as with any app. But the rude and negative reviews disgust me. It's like they were written by morons.

Every time I click on some files not URL, it show up and I cannot open them so please make it opens only URL files

Exactly what I needed! I have URLs saved in Google Drive and Box and neither apps allowed me to open the links on my android phone. With this it opens without any extra taps. Thanks!

upon downloading and installing signing in and giving personal information to allow. This site again like every other lacks information about my intentions and what it is that I am trying to figure out or solve. there is no means of communication or getting direct answers.

This app is wonderful. If you save a url to a folder in windows and sync the folder to Google drive. This app allows you to open the link on google drive Android with one click, just like on a PC.

It allows to open URL files from Google Drive in Google Chrome just by clicking on them without needing to give any permissions to the app. Moreover, if it's a YouTube link it will be opened in the YT app!

I have a Huwei P9 Lite with Android 7.0 / EMUI 5.0.3. With default file manager (Files 7.2.3.326_Local), all in spanish. With this, always aks for a type of file (document, video, music etc.) works selecting document, but not remember the option selected, even marking "open always" opition. I have tried some options like clear link options and clear caches but no resutls. I mark 4 stars because with EZ File Explorer work prefectly ;)

Works. But in miui10, doesn't work if the default browser is not selected. The browser pick dialogue doesn't open browser. This is an app to open files with the filename extension ".url". ".url" files are encountered in windows when you create shortcut to a web address from windows explorer ( like ".lnk" files are created when you create shortcut to folders or files) When you sync windows files with Android (using syncthing etc.) you need a way to open it in Android -> this is the app for that.

Works great for me with File Manager + on a Oneplus 8T with stock launcher. Does exactly what I assumed it would do. Tap a .url file (generated in Windows by dragging from the URL bar in Firefox to Windows Explorer), and it opens in my default web browser (Firefox Nightly.) I am sure there is scope for this to not work depending on Android version and what have you but it works great for me.

Really useful. One suggestion though: I would like to be able to open url files straight from my file explorer. Having to open the app everytime is kinda annoying. I tried to set the app as a default to open these files, but there is no option for that in the settings. I understand you need the profit from the ads in the app screen, but I would be willing to pay for this functionality (as long as it's not too expensive). Other than this, the app is perfect.
