This app is no good all lies people who make apps just stop your not good at it get a really job For One when I look through the map to see how far the bus is from my stop, also the time said 11:13-11:17 and the bus disappeared so i had to wait another 14 minutes longer for another bus in this Arizona heat. Second the app freezes a lot and have to keep restarting and even when I do that it sometimes comes back on the same page after I already closed it out.

My only complaint is it can be kind of a pain in the @$$ to find your stop number if your location isn't accurate. A shortcut to just enter your stop number from the home screen of the app would be perfect

The app is often erroneous about bus arrival times. I have been misdirected often and also left stranded many times because the app wasn't correct. Just yesterday it instructed me to go to a 2 blks away further away from me bus stop rather than the one closest to the store I put in as my location. Also it takes too long to report a problem...like a drunk or dangerous bus driver. And any feedback given is ignored. Cut the carp! It stinks

Update: Rating hasn't changed. You can buy bus passes on the app but the readers on the buses dont fit the phones so it never reads them. Rarely shows bus on the map and when it does it's never the right time. 90%of the time the bus passes me while I'm walking to it. Your better off just going to the bus stop and praying because the buses come whenever they feel like it. The website gives more accurate times

Does not work and The first Transit app I have found to require my email. This app does not need this to operate a bus tracking app (See One Busaway app). I am sure that there are open source versions of this app that can do the job. Your app says the only way to destination is by bike. That says it all. I do not see any buses on map. Sad, very sad. So many cities trying to reinvent the wheel with tax $. YOU CAN NOT DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT.

This has to be the worst app, and the worst service, I've ever encountered. Buses shown don't exist, impossible to route to popular places (i.e. East Phoenix on a weekend), impossible to get any helpful information from this app. I have traveled around the world, always using public transportation when possible, and I have never encountered public transportation as bad as Phoenix and Valley Metro. These guys need to get an overhaul into this century.

Very difficult to find what you want. App need major rework. Most info can be found after learning what leads to what. But can't tell directions at most stops and therefore get wrong info frequently. Also if a bus is more than about 5 minutes late the app just quits tracking it and tells you about the next bus instead. Can't easily get route info as it's frequently wrong. Seems to be worse when April and October changes hit. Routes have been changed to where I can't get close to work.

The app is great for giving you the times that a bus is "supposed" to arrive. The app is not great for letting you know that the bus you're currently waiting on is not going to show up. The navigation is unreliable, though occasionally useful. The buses are rarely on time. This is not the apps fault. If it says your bus IS there but you don't see it, it's probably already left. Phoenix bus drivers are jerks.

I had an impressive experience with this app; an improvement over previous versions: My bus was 12 minutes late, but since Trip Planner was connected to real-time bus location data, it was able to give me the adjusted arrival time for my bus. It was amazingly accurate. Edit: You still may be a better Trip Planner than the one this app provides. I recommend second-guessing the efficiency of its suggested routes.

i figured it would be a lot simpler to see accurate bus times. not that it's hard to figure it out or use the app, it just takes a minute to get to that info. also I've had several cases where it said a bus was on time, and it never came yet they advertise having the bus locations in real time.. still more convenient than using Google maps and more accurate than texting their NextRide phone number.. I blame it on the buses and not the capabilities of the app.

Absolutely useless except for new ways to take money from you with this Mobile Fare. I downloaded the app thinking it would (read, should) help me plan a trip. Nope, it couldn't even do that...not a round-trip anyway. I'll just stick with the far less confusing (and that's not saying much) website. If they haven't done away with that or FUBARed it. Instant uninstall. The app doesn't have a single thing currently useful to me and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Well since there's a character limit I'll just say what's already well known, this state as a whole needs better public transportation, 30 minutes between busses in a place where weather reaches over 100 degrees!? and a lot of them don't even have any form of shade from the brutal sun or are reliable. I get that the city is built around making having a car a necessity but I truly wish that would change, surely less cars on the road and heat absorbing pavement would be beneficial to us all.

The app is as reliable as the busses are about showing up on time and/or at all . If only the rest of us could treat our work hours as more as of a suggestion than a schedule, life would be pretty great! As a taxpayer, I get to pay twice, neat. I wouldn't suggest purchasing multiple day passes at the same time, as if their app activates them both on the same day, you're paying double because there is absolutely no customer service.

Rarely accurate. The app was sometimes helpful, but didn't tell me when the bus was early. Had the wrong times listed for buses. I had to go out and into a different screen to see if the bus was delayed. It couldn't figure out if I had gotten on that bus or not. We had to either wait around for an hour or walk 4miles because times were wrong. The button to align my map north is under the back button, so I couldn't ever make my map always facing north to the top. Frustrating.

What's going to happen to ridekick? The app is great for first time transit rider, but for experienced riders, it's missing a lot. In the routes section, it will only show routes when you enter it, not all of it. And doesn't ridekick do a LOT of this stuff already? You even advertised it on your light rail cars. Also, add paying for a fare in the app as an option.

Using this app for 2 months now. Great app works the way it's suppose to. This app needs to have an auto alert for route detours, a symbol to click on or something, so that when you select a bus stop for the next bus and there's a detour on that route you'd know. In stead of scrolling through the endless "Alerts!" list. The list is nice, it would be nicer if you're taking a new route or not familiar with the system that you get auto alerted of detours or route cancelations.

Pretty solid app for a transit agency; it's years ahead of the former RideKick app. Two suggestions: This may be tricky, but could route detours and stop closures be illustrated on the route maps? For example, if a stop is closed due to redevelopment, it could show up with a 🚫 symbol on the route map. Second, when is the Tempe Streetcar getting live tracking? Thank you very much.

Great app. I only have 2 requests: 1. Allow saving routes, stops, Home, and Work information while logged in, so that it doesn't have to be added every time.. 2. Every once in a while, the saved routes get deleted and no routes can be viewed. Only workaround seems to be clearing all app data and restarting the app. Would be nice if this can addressed. Keep up the good work guys!

Problem on the app... when you purchase a ride once activated there is no longer a bar code to showing so when transferring to another bus I cannot scan the bar code and the bus drivers REFUSE to acknowledge that the app shows the fare activated and will not let me ride. They said because there is no bar code to scan they cannot prove it's activated EVEN THOUGH the app clearly shows activated date and time and expiration date and time with a digital countdown showing time running out.

I needed to purchase 2 all-day passes for same-day use. I went through the whole process and pressed the button to complete the transaction and all I was presented with was an error. I tried the transaction again, same error. No passes were added to my account. I had to purchase the passes with cash at the station. Days later the passes finally showed up and my card had been charged twice. Even better, Valley Metro refuses to refund passes even when errors cause duplicate transactions.
