Many complaints here about technical issues, I had zero such problems. Probably the easiest activation ever. The app is for all practical purposes "idiot proof", and I'm not a spring chicken i.e. "oldish" 😉, and Still, I had/have no problems. HOWEVER, the rewards could be much better. There are other cards, which offers all around better rewards. I only use this app and card to pay my Verizon bill to get percentages towards a new phone and/or cash towards a bill if I so choose.

Unlike all my other credit card companies, the Synchrony Verizon Visa app is abysmal. Want to know when your payment is due? You won't find that in the app. You have to go to the website for that. I entered my payment due dates and statement cutoff dates in my calendar so I'd be able to keep track of this card. Worst credit card app of all my credit card apps.

Somewhere from 2 to 3 months, I've been using the credit card for nearly all of my bills and everyday purchases such as dining out and store trips, and recently on major vehicle work. Today, I received an EMAIL, NOT app notification, saying "Congrats on your first grocery purchase, you've earned 85 cents cash back"... I don't get emails like that NEARLY as much as I use the card. I do not think the cash-back benefits are as advertised, and this app gives you no way of tracking them to be sure.

Deja vu this app can get real confusing cuz it always ends up on your Verizon phone account, options pops up to sell you a new phone, and then you have to look for your Verizon Visa card payment options and stuff like that. For somebody that's not real savvy this can get really confusing and aggravating. The other issue is it just keeps reverting back. So you open it up in the app and then it asked you if you want to open it up in the app. Deja vu. Payments and purchases take too long, pending

The APP interface is horribly designed. 1/10. With extremely basic and minimal options/features. -3/10. I now have another Verizon app on my phone for a total of SIX. All these apps should be integrated into ONE. 1. Call filter 2. Cloud 3. Digital Secure 4. My Verizon 5. Smart Family 6. Verizon Visa There is no reason these cannot be integrated into a single APP and use backend/API functionality to the servers/databases so it seems seamless to the user despite being hosted by various vendors.

The app is perplexingly deficient in every way imaginable. You can see your balance and make payments is basically it. Even the recent activity function is lame, can't search by amount, name or date range etc. Can't setup alerts, can't freeze account, can't request credit line increase, can't add authorized users. Navigating this app takes me back 10 years.

The app is very basic, not a lot of frills and/or floof. Love the freeze acct ability, saved me once from fraudulent charge, before i could respond to the email letting me know a charge was attempted. It was blocked. Otherwise the app does what it needs to though, which is show what charges were made and make payments. Would be nice to show rewards amounts on purchases or a running total.

Whatever you do, DON'T get this credit card and then enroll in autopay. Twice I put my bank info in (I assumed I made a mistake the first time I set it up), and twice it never went through. I end up getting stuck with outrageous interest and returned check fees, and I've been a Verizon Wireless customer since the early 2000s!! I have never had this kind of problem with a card or any other online autopay system before this experience with Verizon Visa. Absolutely horrible!!!

My experience has been horrible. I started off with a high limit, they dropped it to less than half; not for none payments, not for bankruptcy, but for student loans and high inquires (buying a house). This has never happened to me before, and mind you, I have multiple synchrony accounts that I use all of the time that have not lowered my limit, but occasionally increased it. Do NOT get this card, it's not worth the 10 dollars saved on your Verizon account. It's also annoying...

The visa card & benefits get 5/5 stars! The app is meh at best... you can see where/ when you bought stuff & setup payments. Pending payments don't appear in the activity log. There is no way to know the "level" of Verizon card (standard, signature...). It would be very nice if there was a place on the menu to access the card extra benefits like the hotel or rental car perks too!

No security log in. When you open the app your information shows right away, no fingerprint, no security code. Also reports wrong balance. My very first balance I paid in full, and now I have a $76 credit. This isn't how credit card apps should work, I use 3 others that offer secure log in and log out. I like the perks of the card, but this app does not make me feel like my information is being protected properly. Also, I don't recall seeing the points were ONLY for Verizon bucks..that sucks.

It doesn't show cumulative rewards as you spend. The redirects don't always work. Sometimes pending payments don't show. Verizon has notoriously scalped app features- for example, they just added biometric sign in within the last couple of months. They are the "most reliable and advanced network" with the least functional and versatile apps. No thought put into it.

The card is awesome and looks very cool, and the discount with Verizon is great. The app is very very basic though... I can't figure out how to setup autopay, it has no fancy "spend analyzer" like other CCs apps, I'm not sure how to get help with stuff from the app (like setting up autopay). It doesn't even integrate with the already existing "MyVerizon" app, as it requires a separate account for it.

I'm rating the app, not the card benefits. I like the card and what it offers. This app (and the accounting, in general) needs work. The most annoying thing is that payments "disappear" from the activity list during the "pending" timeframe, then reappear, only once they're applied to the balance. (which honestly takes longer than it should, anyway) Also, there seems to be a delay from when the payment posts to the account and when the available credit matches it. Posted should mean POSTED.

I just downloaded it and wanted to set everything up the way i do on all of my other accounts. Downloading and setting up the app quick and easy. Made payment very simple and easy. The reason low stars is it has no options. No alerts or recurring payment set up. Its ridiculous to have an app that does nothing except let you make one time payments and see your balance. Verizon and Synchrony should have the best app ever. Will update review if they update it with new features.

Update: Things seem to have been fixed in the app: Pending payments are showing up as pending and then posted as appropriate. It's a pretty straight forward app. Easy to use. Not a lot of frills which is nice. I use the app to make payments and that's all. But it works fine now. I do like the rewards. They seem to accumulate quickly, even though I don't use the card for anything but our Verizon bill.

I like the app. What I would like to be able to see is what the balance would be even with pending transactions as well as the points generated for each purchase. It's really hard to tell if the points are actually being accrued. I also agree with the below comments, security is just not good. I am able to see instantly without a required fingerprint or password. No issues for logging in.

Early impressions... The card is far superior to the app. The 4% cash back, if it doesn't expire > haven't been able to find that out > will pay for next phone. Wow! As for the app, really basic, I can pay my balance. I can't set up auto pay. I can... Summary: It isn't one of those apps that have more bugs than code. But it is very simple. No adds other spam. Not getting notification bombed. It just doesn't do much. Hopefully in later updates, the card is really good & potentially groundbreaking

App makes it easier to access everything, it is easier than logging into synchrony directly. Only downfall at it has nothing to do with the app is synchrony take days to process payments and have the balance reflected, same with charges. I pay my cell bill the 12th, post a payment the 13th. On the 19th it still hasn't been applied. It reports to the credit bureau the 20th. So yeah, I'd recommend a capital one, discover or anything that applies charges and payments faster.

The worst credit card I've ever had. They lower your credit limit without warning even when you pay them in full every month. They take the longest to process a payment out of any card I've ever had. So far having the verizon visa card has been more trouble than it's been worth. Will most likely be canceling the card and completely leaving verizon because of it. T-mobile and plenty of other phone companies will buy you out of your contract just to have your buisness. Service is average anyway.
