When the auto option for recording movement it is found under motion detection . Was recently upgraded from being able to choose auto. Now, only being able to choose you 10, 15, and 20 seconds of recording. This device became super useless. If you have this for watching your car , home , etc. Basically, once motion is picked up, it will only record 10, 15, or 20 seconds, leaving you unprotected . Do not buy or entertain or trust this camera it has gone Hollywood 😒

User/buyer beware, it does not work with most mobile phone providers. The only providers seems to work with is AT&T. If you try to connect from Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, cricket or anyone else it does not connect. If you're on your home Wi-Fi it works fine. But that defeats the purpose Doesn't work with most mobile carriers

Send notifications to my smartphone when the detected motion ends. That's useless. I have not been able to get it just send notifications to my phone when the motion begins. I've gone back and forth with support for 7 months. They do not read my emails and simply send me various canned replies which have nothing to do with the issue. Now I want to get some of my cloud storage money back, since I haven't used it for 2 months, 10 months to go. Do not buy this camera. The whole experience sucks.

Live feed stopped working. My Internet is fine, says it's strong on the status but the live feed says it's unstable. It's not far from the router. We've unplugged everything several times. All I'm able to get are the 20 second alert videos. I can't even check that the placement is correct before leaving. Super disappointing. No updates are available, it says everything is updated. I've only had this maybe a few months.

Great until latest update. Now it detects motion almost continuously (every 2-3 min) the entire time it is awake. Just recording after recording of nothing, even on the lowest motion detection setting. Batteries used to last 5 or 6 weeks now lucky to last a few days. Needs to be fixed or I'll be moving on to a product that works for right now this doesn't.

This app has been working fine up until the network cable had to be replaced going to my gateway. Since then, I have not been able to get the cameras to connect to the app at all! I've been using these cameras for years now and have never had any problems with them. However, this app is PIG POO! Someone really needs to fix it that really knows what they are doing! I keep getting a "No available network connection" error when there a 3 different WIFIs in this house!!! Getting very frustrated!

worked great for 2 days. now won't wake up from sleep mode. WiFi connection is strong on cam and my phone. I'm away from home so I can't access the camera itself to check for issues. emailed support several times but only got an automated response with no answers or resolution. very disappointed and frustrated. poor customer service

When I first got these cameras I was really happy with them. Now I'm not the new update truly ruined these security cameras, I was able before to move the camera through the app with no problem after I did the update I get a "Limit reach" before I would never get that and was able to do a 360 rotate through the app. Not no more FIX THIS! How is this a security camera if I can't see without me getting a ladder and physically moving it. 👎👎

It buffers too long, whenever I'm trying to play the live video feed and now, the visual notifications that would allow me to see what the activity was, without entering the app to check, is not showing inside my notifications panel at all, for some reason but, it's still a decent app, imho! Fix these issues and, I'll change from 3 stars, to 5 stars.

Good camera and app, it scared away a thief this morning. I am doing the 1 month free trial and plan on upgrading to the annual plan. One suggestion for future updates is the ability for the audible alarm and flashing light to only be activated in the activity zone, like notifications. UPDATE: The white light stopped working after 3 weeks. Very crummy camera. Not upgrading anything as the white light and flashing light were important in scaring off trespassers. Very disappointed.

The camera itself is very nice, I like that you can rotate it and see your area very well. The problem is that the app has too many advertisements trying to get you to go to the premium where you can actually make adjustments to the camera like human only versus all movement. Every other camera I purchased had those already installed. If you want more control and only pay one price this app and camera are not for you.

Had these cameras for a minute with no issues. The cameras and app used to work well, but since the last update, nothing but problems. Its not detecting motion, and it keeps saying my network is unstable. The only thing that's unstable is the update... Fix it, guys, or I'm throwing them off a cliff and getting something more reliable!!!

For some reason I am no longer able to view my SD card through the app. it just won't load regardless of my network or wifi settings. I have even tried reinstalling the app. it is very annoying and inefficient because that's the main reason I used it is so when I'm not home I can monitor the house. What good is motion alerts if I can't watch the f-ing video. I have to get home manually remove the SD card from the camera put it in my laptop and then I get to watch it. FAIL.

Update broke app. It only lets you record 20 second videos. Only one person gets to delete or download the videos. You can't share that power. It's super hard to add a second user and switched to the wrong user. The developers doesn't respond to help questions. Yes, the camera is great, but it shouldn't be used as security. We got ours NEW and FREE, and I still wouldn't recommend it. Look elsewhere for a security camera. Until I can record several minutes I won't change my review.

It's been great until the recent update, now it seems to be lagging by a couple of hours on the motion detection alerts. The videos arent even showing up until after the alert. Also, if I click the notification, it brings up the app and it just says "no more recordings on the day" with a retry button that does nothing. I have to click the back button on my phone until it goes to the home screen then go to the videos.

The Vico home security camera app leaves much to be desired. It is riddled with issues that hinder its effectiveness and usability. First and foremost, the app's user interface is poorly designed, making it confusing and challenging to navigate. Basic functions like viewing live footage or accessing recorded videos are unnecessarily complicated. Furthermore, the app's performance is highly unreliable. It frequently lags, freezes, or crashes, which is incredibly frustrating.

So far, the app itself works great! My issues are with the whole subscription set up. It's not very intuitive and there are no instructions or explanations really. I have 2 cameras but only set up one at first. I did the single at first, figuring I'd change later. Later I noticed that there were cheaper options by moving the tiny slider at the top of the subscription page. So I went for the cheaper option but found that's only a good choice if you only have one camera. For two, Unlimited is best

I've had this for a few months and initially it started off really well and I had no problems. And now, 2 months in.. I have to be rebooting it multiple times a day because it's not connecting steadily. It's taking longer to connect when I open the app to the live feed, and right now as I write this, for the second time this month, the app is completely down and not connecting at all. It just says connecting and does nothing. A very unreliable app which is terrible for a security device.

Lags and freezes when trying to view LIVE. Won't connect sometimes. Frustrating to navigate and use. I have two cameras. It does the same for both cameras. Uncomfortable when you need to see what's going on, but can't because the software is not working. update: 4.15.2024-- time to record has been reduced to 20 seconds. Then it cools down for a minute. so you'll miss whatever happens during that minute no option to turn it off unless you pay. Looking for something else.

I have been using a different security camera with the Vico Home software for awhile. I bought two different type cameras but couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi. It was very frustrating, but the solution was to use the option for trying different connection methods. That one has you put a qr cod3 in front of the camera. This worked great nd I was able to finish the installation.
