A great tool if you have to use the bathroom and you have wifi. The only problem i experienced was it dropped out on me. Thankfully i was at home in my bed when it happened. I just wished vdj made a phone and tablet friendly version of their main software....something with automix.

The app does more or less what it says, but it constantly disconnects and the process to reconnect to the host app is tedious. Once connected its OK, lots of good features, but for the price I would have expected it to work across the board.

App gives new port on app lunch. constantly entering this new port there never used again so i don't understand why it must change so much because of this i can not use it stablely please let me set one port an not rotate it intill we have an issue. Ive entered 25 different ports an still every lunch i will have to add more. For one its unsecured as hell ur forceing djs to leave them selfs open to attacks. On manny ports this needs to be addressed.

I've been using this app since day1 and since the last update i have only 1 complain! When i try to view the songs in the sidelist, i can only see the top songs on that list, meaning i can't scroll down. On the automix list though i can!!! I'm still rating it 5 stars cause it works awesome! This app is simply revolutionary!!!!

I've been a VDJ Pro user for nearly 20 years. This app is amazing for walking across a banquet hall to discuss something with a bride and groom without the worries of the next track on your dinner jazz playlist coming in way louder than the last track... Etc. It's perfect for scenarios like this. And you will blow minds with this app in the bars. If you're using VDJ you should have this app!

The app layout and functionality itself is fine, the problem is it disconnects from VDJ when it loses focus. When this happens VDJ assigns a different port and the app won't reconnect automatically. It's basically no use other than a quick mess about, can't use it reliably for any length of time.

It halts a lot, it drops connection all the time, it never connects directly after the 1st time like it was before. Each time I switch apps on my mobile and return to vdjremote I have to manually reconnect. Version 7 was much better but now when I even switch to it most of the functions are not working in version 7. I paid money for this app and now it is getting worse.

Needs lots of work on the connection. I have this on my Samsung J530 BUT if I navigate to another background app, then it disconnects and changed port number. This means the listed connection in VDJ8 Settings is now in error and there is no way to remove or edit it. So you add another connection and the same happens again... the connection drops and port changes. There are no settings anywhere to change - like fix the port so it doesn't change so during a set you don't get nasty surprises. Otherwise good app - years ago when it first came out I had an iPhone and the app just worked perfectly and automatically - this Android version with new modern WAPs is a pain. Even changing the Smartphone to a hotspot doesn't work as it changes port again. The only way I can see around this is to have say, a Raspberry Pi as a headless non-internet connected Wifi Hotspot with mac recognition and port translation for the only 2 connected devices. Atomix please fix this annoying disconnect problem

Doesn't Connect! My Virtual DJ program is running on my home network and also my phone. The app tells me it's waiting for connection and it never happens.

A bit of a stuggle to set up so do not expect a plug & play experience. Even if you are on the same wifi network as your VDJ PC, it won't work if you are on a different frequence, ie 2g or 5g. For me it never connects automatically, I have to manual type in the remote apps IP every time to connect. As other people have mentioned, It drops connection if you move app to the background on your Android device. Additionally you also have to install some additional Apple software on your Windows PC for it to work. Considering how good the VDJ8 software is, this Android app seems to be less finished, and in my opinion lets Atomix down. It also looks like they have stopped work on it some time ago as it warns that it may not work on the latest version of Android, and if you try to look at the Changelog as advertised here, it tells you "Sorry, you don't have the necessary accreditations to view this page." Is it worth £9? For what it does, I am not sure.

When it's connected it works fine. But it disconnects all the time. And you must do many restarts in the virtual DJ in your pc and in the app you find again the connection. So 2 stars for this because I didn't use it at the end because of the problem with the connection. If the developers fix this problem will be great tool.

Absolutely Fantastic companion app. Works really well with zero lag in my case using EE hotspot and home WiFi. Easy to customise or use different skins. I use the normal one mainly. Has access to stems, effects and easy secondary song search outside of messing around with main laptop. In my case I can even close the app and reload it and boom still works. Well done to the Devs on keeping this app working well.

Many complain about connectivity. I also had issues connecting through the IP address using my browser. But once I found the IP connection setting in the VDJ program, everything worked fine. The app does everything fluently. Only improvement I wish would be to be able touse the app standalone.

Good to know I got scammed out of $12. Bought this a few months ago, and tried it out for 15 min tops, and it seemed to work well. Fast forward to at time of my writing this review. I have run through every FAQ, every help file and with nothing changing on my laptop all of a sudden, the remote does not want to connect. Reading other reviews, it seems I am not the only one running into this issue, so I will uninstall the battery eater of a program. Hope someone had a nice snack with my money.

I work in a strip club and I use the remote app because I also host the amateur night which requires me to be on stage and this app allows me to cue up my music in my side list while onstage hosting. used to connect automatically but now I always have to manually type in IP address and at time when I load a song into my auto mix it doesn't register it and I have to do it twice which isn't fun while in the middle of an event. but works well enough without any major issues. very helpful.

To save money organizing our 40-year high school reunion, I was tasked with DJing the event. Problem was, I'm not a DJ. I downloaded Virtual DJ on a laptop with my entire music collection and iTunes and Bonjour installed. To my pleasant surprise, Virtual DJ recognized every playlist. Ready to roll there. I downloaded Virtual DJ Remote app. The app connected to the laptop seemlessly. The remote app remained connected the entire 4-hour event. FYI: Make sure you install Bonjour!!!

AMAZING! Used a few times at the bar.... while I was eating. Very fun. Customers are very impressed. Especially when I ask them to scratch on the screen..... their faces are priceless, when they realize they're the one's doing the scratching on the club music....It's crazy.... Latency is minimal. It's great!! Must have WiFi connected.... Worth the $10
