This app rocks. It's free to use and tells a lot of the must see areas of a city. It lets you build a schedule with all the places you want to see and tells you time suggestions based on how far apart they are. Really helped me during my trip to Chicago. 💕

I have used the app several times over many years, and I find it very helpful that I can plan each day's itinerary based on the proximity of each attraction. It is a highly customizable app, and I appreciate that the devs thought about the look and the features of the app 👍🏻📍🌐🧭🗽🗼

The last time I used the app to plan a trip I was able to select modes of transit between two locations. That doesn't appear to be an option anymore. The app selects whether to walk or drive and doesn't give any public transit options. It is showing a 15 minute drive between two areas that are right beside each other and there is no way to change it. This makes the itinerary pretty useless.

I used to use the Google trips app and I loved the "day trip" feature that it had, where it would organise for you an itinerary with all the top attractions in walking distance that you could explore in a day. Since the app was discontinued i couldn't find an alternative ... until now. I downloaded the Visit A City app today for my upcoming trip to Tuscany and it has exactly that feature and it's called "plans". Even better you can save plans for multiple cities. THANK YOU for creating this app.

Good, but COULD be GREAT. Consider adding a way to pdf the itinerary. For Orlando, the app will allow you to buy tickets, but not add that same place as a location. Enable the ability to adjust times individually or at least a "must arrive by time". Duration tome should extend beyond 6 hours to accommodate all-day events (e.g. amusement parks). Start time should include hours before 7am. It's a good app and a few "improvements" will make it 1st in the class!

VAC has helped me to experience major sites in major cities (Paris, New York, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv) without the assistance of a tour guide. I've been able to save lots of money by using the app to assist with selecting restaurants and in providing transportation options. I'm never lost nor without options when touring major cities. I'm so glad to have discovered this app.

This is a great app. The only two things I don't like is the notes on each item of the itenary. You can edit the notes or read the fill notes made in the app. The only way I've found to read/add/edit them are using the website. If using website on mobile it will not let you login into your account and wants to redirect to the app for everything.

This is a great idea and the app is pretty flexible but it doesn't allow you to add things that don't show up in their selection of events. I used it to plan a trip to LA and it helped me to see options of activities that I didn't know to look for, so that was helpful. However, because we ended up doing a number of things that weren't in the selection, I couldn't use it as an agenda or guide once we were in LA as I had hoped. I did not have any probs with it crashing like others stated.

I really like this app for it's suggestions and putting together an itinerary. HOWEVER, I've noticed that a lot of information is inaccurate or out of date, including hours of operation and actual locations/addresses. I wish there were an easy way to submit updated info to the app developer. I would also like to see a way to manually add items to my itinerary (and potentially suggest them as official attractions to include in the app.)

I've used in 10+ cities and it's great for planning day-to-day activities and staying organized, and also finding things to do on the fly. It's really helpful that you can add other plans, like visiting friends, theatre tickets, etc. and find things to do based on your location so they're easy to walk to. My only complaint is when creating plans from a wishlist, it prioritizes location over operating hours - what's the point of getting somewhere efficiently if it's closed when you get there?

This app is amazing. I have traveled to New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Seattle using this app and I loved it! Makes planning super easy. The only thing missing is I wish you could draw a circle on the map to specify which areas you are going to travel to and it was possible to plan visiting locations in that area even between big cities.

Really enjoy using this app. Very customizable but pretty good with the sights already listed. Used for several trips but last trip to Zurich had a problem with accuracy of the info. There were several museums listed that were closed or relocated. Itinerary had us going to a museum in the morning when it didn't even open till 2pm. To top it off, that one was closed. From now on we will check the actual website prior to leaving for our trips.

Just horrible - so inflexible. I guess this is useful if you want it to auto-generate a plan. But if you try to customize anything, it can't. Every addition defaults to the first day even of you have day 3 selected. Every added hotel, defaults to day 1 even of you aren't changing hotels until day 4. A frustrating waste of time. It's just trying to sell you a tour. Horrible.

Perfect for trip planning. Start an itinerary and customize from multiple sights and activities recommended. Once itinerary is started, items are added to a select day of your trip, with a duration at site, and an idea of transportation between sites included. From there you can customize all information and organize in any order you'd like. There's even a map and list view. This app is free, easy to use, and highly recommended for any planners!!

So it's okay. It helps that it shows you where you are going in a nap view and you can search for things to add to the itinerary. You can reorder things relatively easy. I like that I can see about how long it takes to go to each place. However, when you add to the itinerary there is no way to change where they put it until it's added so you keep having to rearrange stuff and when you share it, it only shows 1 day at a time. It's also irritating that you can only out in the amount of time at a place but not the time you'll be there. It just auto times it based off of when you start. Overall, is okay for now but I'm trying to find something better.

On the surface this app looks great. I planned my itineraries, but didn't book anything with the app. However, once I got to my destination I found out almost all the information was wrong. It couldn't pinpoint my location (I have an international plan) and instead of informing me of that, it would just show me in a wrong location. I couldn't adjust it either. Then every single one of the times to get from place to place was wrong. This app ended up being a huge disappointment.

I've really enjoyed using this! It's great for planning tours and excursions when the choices become overwhelming. I've used it for San Diego and San Francisco, and now using it for our upcoming Hawaii trip. Some functionality could be improved on, like setting times for activities, because I use it as a guide and not as a strict itinerary. Overall, great site and app.

I really like this app but the location thing is really intrusive. Sometimes I just want to check what suggested itineraries there are for a city I'm planning to visit so if I choose to not share my location, I would think it shouldn't be a problem. But when I select not to share my location, the prompt just keeps popping up. And when I leave to go home or sth, it actually goes over that too until I completely close it. A bit annoying. Otherwise, it's a great starting point for researching.

This is a review of the website AND app experience, as the app is just a companion to the website itself for now. Visit A City. Com provides me with everything I need to make just about the most precise itinerary ever. I love how highly customizable it is. Adding breaks for dining, hotel departing times, adding notes to the attractions, and even scheduling tours and day trips. The interface is very easy to use, even on my old slow laptop. I can't wait for the app to be exactly like the desktop website as that would make me mark this as the definitive must have travel website and app. I hope to see improvements in the area of choosing between walking to the destination or taking public transit instead of it choosing for me. I would also like to be able to add notes to the hotel as I can for all the other stops on the itinerary. I love being able to add my own attractions, that is a huge selling point. The app basically just allows you to view the itinerary I made, not edit it. PLEASE, PLEASE make the app just like the website, it's such a wonderful tool to not be able to edit from my smartphone. Keep up the good work, visit a city, you are truly the best travel organizer!

So i didn't exactly attempt to utilize this apps planning features. It does seem like a goodish app to organize a day or two of a vacation where everyone is doing the same things. But useless when trying to coordinate multiple people from multiple locations. I mainly wanted to look at the "events" and types of "things to do" and this app blows for that. Its basically the same BS that every other event site/app/calendar offers (bar crawls, scavenger hunts, and lame tours). Zero local promotions.
