Works very well, the interface is intuitive. Only two suggestions -- allow selection of sounds & volumes (I know, bc of Android's many options, the interface for that would be either complicated or limited), and provide a way to check on the remaining time other than the size of the slice. Still great tho.

I'd give it 5 stars, but now that I'm on a Samsung with the new update, the "SecSoundPicker" crashes and I can't change the timer sound. It does play the default alarm sound, and it is accurate visually, so it still gets 4 stars for functionality and simplicity.

Great Timer App! - Exactly as described! - Easy to use! - Great for anybody, including kids, adults and seniors! - PERFECT! - Very small in size so it doesn't require much phone space! - NO ADS! - ADJUST ALARM VOLUME & CHOOSE ALARM SOUND TOO! - Also allows you to check to see how much time is left by dragging down the notification shade! - SEE NOTIFICATION when time is up! - Simple visual design! - Very simple to set & to check how much time is left! - it is also EASY to turn off at anytime!😁!

This app does exactly what it says and I use it daily. Unfortunately, my Pixel 2 just updated to Android 10 last week and the timer no longer shows in the notifications. Even when the alarm goes off the app is invisible and the only way to stop it is to go to apps list and stop the app.

I love this app, with one exception...but it's a biggie, for me. It pings my FitBit every few seconds due to the notification settings. That constant buzz is a distraction I can't handle, but for work and medical reasons I need to have that setting on. I can choose between turning off notifications on the FitBit, or risk screwing up Visual Timer's alerts. Neither is ideal.

I love this app very much and works as stated. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I want to give it 5 stars ,however I have to give it 4 stars because when you go into settings to change from the default ring tone to a different one it does not work at all. It does not set and does not remember nor captures your preference that you selected. Other than the default ring tone problem, it is a very nice app. Thank you very much.

I loved this app. Alas, with the android 12 update, there is no longer an easy way to dismiss a ringing alarm. There is no notification in the pull down shade or on screen pop-up. To dismiss, I have to re-open the app. Maybe it will be fixed in the future. Great app if using earlier versions of Android. EDIT: Developer has updated the app for Android 12 and it's back to working wonderfully.

Absolutely love the simplicity of this app. I have a physical timer just like it but obviously can't carry it around with me. The only thing that would make this absolutely perfect would be the ability to also choose hours instead of just mins/secs. I have a task I need to do every 2 hours, but I don't always have a set schedule of when to start and finish. If I could set this to go off every two hours after activated, it would be perfect.

Very clean UI, easy to understand. Can run in the background without trouble if you're taking a timed break while surfing. I like the option to make the controls fade away during the timed event. I also like the options for the alarm sounds, as well as alarm volume. The option for a nicer alarm sound was important so I don't startle myself out of a flow state. Been looking for a visual app to help with ADHD time management problems, and this works. Seeing the time run out is very helpful.

I'm new to visual timers and I'm getting a lot out of this app. Some small "wishes", though: the ability to select a 120-min 'face'; the ability to select custom colors and set default and 'favorite' colors (many apps include a simple color picker); and the ability to auto-restart. Meaning, when my 15 minutes are up, it beeps and then restarts for the next 15 minutes, and so on. I have used other apps for years that do this but they lack the visual component that Visual Timer does so nicely.

I really appreciate that this app is ad-free, not bloated at all, and includes a dark theme. Everything is readily accessible. The two improvements I'd like are to have an automatically repeating countdown feature, and for your preset clock to be larger and say what time you are selecting. I had to create a preset three times to get one for 2 minutes. Oh, and if long pressing a preset would allow you to edit as well as delete, that would also be good.

Perfect simplicity that I was looking for in a visual timer that runs while I work on tasks and is easily visible. The one complaint I have is that in landscape with the digital time displayed, the numbers are almost completely cropped out at the top of the screen. Everything should be shifted downward in the landscape view in order for the numbers to be fully displayed. In portrait mode everything looks great.

Update: Installed on new Samsung Galaxy phone and app works the way it's supposed to. Its a mystery why, on the old phone, the animation would work in MINUTES but not in SECONDS mode, but that's a moot point. Nice app but the red wedge visibly diminishes only in minutes mode. In seconds mode, while the timer works, and the end-of-time alarm sounds, there's no observable change in the red wedge. Long and short, the seconds mode is not "visual." Or am I missing something?

Really wish I could do countdowns longer than an hour, was planning on using it for 2 hour increments. Otherwise everything about this is just great, a simple non-distracting timer that gives you an idea of how much time is left without having you just waste time counting the seconds. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Just really wish I could do longer timers.

I have ADHD and have issues with getting totally sidetracked trying to accomplish household tasks. I also have a young child and i think the minimalist/clock interface will make it much easier for him to understand what 10 minutes till bedtime actually means. Love this, way easier to set up and use than the clock/alarm that comes on ur phone.

Very simple yet very effective for me. I t does NOT timeout, so I have to keep the phone plugged in, but thats exactly the point here, for me anyways. When I need to be singularly focused on a task or set of tasks, i dont want to have ANY, distractions. know what I mean. i find that I have been better at focusing on my short term (60 mins or less) performance using this app. 5 stars

#1. The circle does not diminish in either mins or secs. I looked for an animation control in my app settings as you suggested to another rater. Couldn't find one on my Samsung android. #2. And how do I get the icon to drop on my screen? I can only access it by going to Apps ... a big pain in the arse. #3. End notification sound continues until I get out of app, as others have complained. I like the idea, but it needs to work as advertised.

Works great to keep my gaming time on schedule. No Ads. I know developers need to make money. Some apps like this are simple functions. Ads just make them not worth downloading. Post up a donate button and I will gladly give you some $ for not putting ads in. Every ad based app shows you the game Evony. Worst bait and click game on the market. Thanks for not putting ads in the app. Do not want to play or see Evony ad ever!

I like the UI of this app, but it's still buggy, many times even after you hit the button to stop the alarm, the tune keeps playing, even force closing the app doesn't make it stop, I have to either reboot my phone or uninstall the app to make it stop. How the hell does Android even allow a app to hijack the alarm like this.

Great simple app, albeit buggy - Saving a custom timer with a color (say blue) works well, although it would be great not to have it to give the timer a title. Going back to edit that timer changes it to the default color (red). Goal is to let a kid pick the color and use the timer so they can count down on a task. Favorite feature: using the full circle to count down regardless of the quantity of time. It just moves faster or slower depending on how much time.
