this app crashed Each time I open it. I have called about this app so many times and they tell me to make sure my phone is updated. I have the note 8 and it's always updated. Yet, vivant makes sure they have their money each month from me for an app that works 10%of the time . I'm switching to ring with all 4 of my houses !

Control options are very basic. Should be able to fully control system, not just adjust temperature, lock/unlock doors, and arm/disarm alarm. Thermostat schedule does not work. Have to program schedule on thermostat for scheduling to work. Basically you should be able to do everything you can do on website on the app.

I too upgraded my phone yesterday and realized that this Vivint classic app no longer works on my new phone. Just some advice to anyone who's as frustrated as I am, you can always login to Vivint via the Internet and control your dashboard panel. It only took me about 60 seconds to log in and control my panel.. Keep this app downloaded on your phone, this way you can still receive your notifications and alert that you have set up in your panel.

Vivint's shift to app only to modify one's account is kludgy, glitchy, and utter garbage. Their 'support' emails link to a 404, and the website only shows the most basic of account info. We plan to move to another service provider as soon as our contract is up.

Used to really love this app and system. Then I had a long stretch of time where I couldn't log in no matter what I did. Now? I can log in, but the app won't tell me anything useful. Can't see when sensors have been triggered or doors opened and closed like I used to. Cancellation is a convoluted process. Don't waste your time with this system.

Haven't been able to access or use the app for ages. It literally won't allow a log in...it let's you back into an auxiliary site but doesn't allow any sort of control of system. 100% worthless. I've tried on 3 different android phones so it's not the phone. I've tried support and no better luck.

This app is horrible. There is such a delay. I don't get notified when there is someone at my door. The video is never available on playback. It is always frozen. The live video is so pixelated that you can't make anything out. I absolutely hate this app. Defeats the purpose I got the security system for.

Worst app ever. Almost NEVER works. Want to see what's happening live ..forget about it, this app is incapable of loading live images. Want to play back because you got an alert...forget about it, this app is incapable. The only thing that works is SOMETIMES you can open or close the garage door. The only thing I'm thankful for when it comes to this app is that I didn't have to pay for it.

You have to pay for everything with Vivint. You have to pay for installation (included in the pricey equipment). If one of your equipment is faulty they would replace it for free, but it's not always that way. Long list of negative experience. You're better off going with Protect America or Ring. I will be switching to Ring soon, only $10 per month with NO contract instead of Vivint's $50/month with 5 year contract. PA is $20/month w/ 3 yr contract.

I have had this system since 2013. It was working fine. Now I can't log on to the app. Says user name and password combo are incorrect. I called tech support and they said there is something wrong with app to give them some time. Almost a week later still can't log on. Not only has the problem affected the app but I cannot login from a computer either. And now I feel like I'm paying for something that can't be used to it's full potential.

Customer service is absolutely the worst! Got a new phone and app is not compatible because it is so old. It now makes sense why my husband lost the ability to use the app last year when he got a new phone. It states username and password don't match. However I change the password, log in just fine to the website even though the website does not let me do anything.

This app was awesome until got a Newer Phone (2020). Now Vivint Classic will not allow the login, after spending an hour on the phone with Support troubleshooting. It was realized that for a Newer Smartphone (2020), you have to use Vivint Smart Home, but in order to use that app, you have to upgrade your entire Home Security system just to get the app to work. Support gave a $15.00 credit, in my opinion, fix the app for newer phones. This app does not deserve any stars.

Panel upgrade completely shut down my whole system, a technician "fixed it" but I had a notification on the app that my panel was in duress. Called to have that fixed because the whole system was not working, they did two resets and told me the second reset would take a half hour to resolve. Nothing is working and to cancel I am to email for a cancellation and that may take up to 30 days and of course my monthly payment came out of my account today, for what? I have been a customer for 9 years!

This app used to worked great. About a month ago a bug got in to their app of some sort and I am unable login. It says the the username and password are not correct and yet I can login on the site with the same credentials. I chatted with vivint support and that was 2hrs of my life I will never get back. So frustrating to tell an agent everything I have tried only to have them tell me to do the same things. Such a waste of time. Having no app access makes having a security system tortuous to use.

I have talked to rep from vivint twice once on phone and once on chat via computer. My Samsung s24plus won't accept password or send updated password to my email. I spent over 2 hours trying to get this to work and today still can't get it to work. My old app worked on previous phone and I can find that app on my new phone but won't take the password.

This android app doesn't work from my cellphone. I just acquired the services in the last two weeks. At first it worked, then it stopped. Same issues username and password don't match. Not true because, I haven't changed anything since installing and creating password, and my email address certainly has not been changed. I am already frustrated with this inability of customer service to fix this issue. The problem isn't my cellphone, it's the freaking app needs a lot of work. Fix it.

This app works great with the old Go!Control system. Only time I've had an issue was after a long power outage which knocked my Z-wave devices offline. We couldn't get off resolved over the phone but the tech that came to the house easily got things working again. This is no where near as fancy as the new Smart Hub and app that goes with it. However, my family feels safe and have had a pretty good overall experience with Vivint.

App worked great . Now not working. I've done everything I was supposed to do to get app back running. Uninstalled and installed several times, called tech support 3 times, but still not working. I see all the reviews and no responses from Vivint. Extremely disappointed in the app and the lack of customer service. Will probably cancel and go with another company who has technical support available in the area i live in.

The app is not compatible with newer phones. I contacted Vivint and have been troubleshooting for 5 days since getting a replacement phone of the same kind with the same service provider (Verizon). Even if I use the browser on my PC, I am unable to control anything (a/c temp, alarm arm and unarm, or my locks). I am going to request a free upgrade due to this! This is crazy!

App broken on many android phones for at least 4 months. Won't log on, saying bad password. Password works fine on web. Clicking help link only results in spinning icon. Used to work fine. I've worked in software a long time. A major failure like this could be resolved in a few days at most if they actually cared enough to put someone on it. I have Simplisafe at my other house. It works and costs half as much for monitoring. I'll be dropping Vivint if they don't get this fixed pretty quick.
