will only connect the the app when TV is first turned on, like within the first 5 min. Then it always says offline even though I can see the TV is still connected via router. I think it's because we have a mesh system but all other connected devices, including our Samsung TV, always are able to keep connected. UPDATE...yes I've got the latest update and is on automatic update. This has been a problem for years so doubtful any updates will fix.

The app doesn't include Bluetooth connection. Everything else seems to work as advertised. The app also doesn't seem to work as a "remote." For example, pressing the menu or input buttons does NOT open the respective menus on your TV. It more so let's you do things on your phone which will have an effect on your TV. If the developers fix these, I will change my rating. I recommend the "remote for Vizio" app until this one is improved.

We got the Vizio 55" tv the day after Christmas. The tv works fine but the remote that came with it has a couple of issues. The select button doesn't work unless it's pressed really hard. Also, the navigation buttons, up and down mostly, tend to skip channels. The remote in the app works perfectly though, so I use that the most. The picture quality so far is excellent. The sound quality is pretty good but for the full experience I would recommend surround sound or a sound bar. Satisfied so far.

This app is an absolute disaster. I'm running it on a Google Pixel 7. It doesn't load about 99% of the time. When it does, it fails out constantly. I've been trying to get my Crave 360 speakers working for literal months. With no luck. Because the app sucks, the support sucks, and I cannot begin to express how disgusted I am with this entire experience. Spend the money on speakers thinking you'll have whole home and absolutely nothing works. Straight trash. 0/5 if it was possible.

I've had this app since 2017, and it has sometimes worked great, sometimes hasn't. Since the addition of ads, it hasn't. About 3 weeks ago, this app started behaving like it should--as soon as it's selected, it actually functions. I almost changed my review from 2 to 5 stars. Then...another update, and we're right back to 3-5 second delays every time the app is selected. It was working so good, then you screwed it up again! Fix it, and you get 5 stars!

The app never works the first 100 taps but the last. It'll say that it can't seem to connect over wifi in the app but as soon as I press the power button in the notifications it all of a sudden works. Just sucks tbh. Don't bother with this app unless, like me, you dont have a choice because when you bought the secondhand TV it didn't come with a remote and Vizio (in their infinite wisdom) decided physical buttons on the back were for the paleolithic era.

The app can no longer connect to my neither of Vizio soundbars after update, this horrible. Will never buy Vizio product again ever! Update to developer's response: They always think their customers are idiots. Who nowaday uses mobile phone doesn't know they nees to be on the same network? I had to reset the soundbar, uninstall/reinstall VIZIO app to get it to connected. But now it takes 3-15 seconds for the soundbar to respond to button click, like volume up/down.

After updating to the new version I kept receiving a "pairing error." Based on instructions from the vizio support chat bot I reset my TV to factory settings. I still get the same error, but now my (old, legacy e55-D0 with a useless physical remote with no menu or settings) tv no longer is is on my wifi network and I can't reconnect because of the pairing error. Total garbage!

3/24/24 Absolutely not working at all now, only because I can't remember the steps the the trick I'd do to get it on, also equally as ridiculous to have to do as having an app that never works Hit and miss connecting to TV. On the same network. Making sure Wi-Fi is off and opening the app, then turning the Wi-Fi on, will fix it somehow sometimes.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Frustrating app that constantly disconnects an never finds the device paired with unless you shut of said device an turn back on. Works MAYBE 1x every 20 TV resets, and at that might only get one button press before it disconnects again.(Update) does connect without issues now and have very few to no problems with any of the features. Props to the devs for listening to the customers 👏

Works 50% of the time I'm not sure what the problem is exactly but the remote doesn't want to connect half the time and when it does the TV and app is super duper slow however if I browse on the app I can select applications I want to launch on the TV quicker nevertheless do you have still crashes and disconnect randomly has a tendency to not work altogether they need to seriously take a look at this because it has a ton of bugs when it's working it works but is extremely slow...

I hate this app. But I'm stuck with having to use it because I don't have the remote control to the Vizio flat-screen. I can use a television remote control like that scene in The Cable Guy. But I have serious issues with this app. I can't intuitively use it quickly because of course it's touch screen, no buttons so I have to look down at my phone and then look at what I'm trying to access on screen. The wifi is constantly going out on the app and then the screen changes constantly.

This app mise well be unusable, it's says "not reachable" around 90% of time, sometimes I'll get it to work and scroll thru YouTube for a few seconds and it will stop working and say "not reachable" I just started screen casting YouTube from my phone. I opened the app earlier bc I lost my remote and guess what? It says "not reachable" found my remote, checked for updates and rebooted my tv, still said unreachable. Thank God I found my remote or I wouldn't be able to use my tv.

Old version of the app was much better. New version has ads on the remote, lol. I also just got an ad for a new TV show through a notification. Instantly blocked notifications from this app easily, but it is pretty ridiculous. I also feel like the old version of the remote was better, but the notification ad is my main issue with this app. It really makes me second guess recommending Vizio products to my family.

The recent march App update made things worse. The new update lost its association with my TV and now when it scans it doesn't pull my TV up on the list of devices to connect to. Now I can't setup my tv with the app again. It shows on my tv that it's putting out a wifi signal for connection. Whatever they changed made just made it useless.

"Once connected, VIZIOgram allows all to share images or videos from their mobile phones to their contacts’ VIZIO TVs." -- this is very deliberate misrepresentation; Vizio arbitrarily limits the videos you can cast to 70 seconds and makes sure to bury notice of this severe limitation where most people won't see it to induce them to install an app that won't do what they expect. Thanks for wasting my time, Vizio! Garbage.

This app is useless. I have never been able to connect to my tv or soundbar. My phone, tv, and soundbar are all connected to the internet, but the app says no devices found. I guess I shouldn't be surprised the app doesn't work since the tv is buggy and only half works. Vizio sucks. I will not buy any of their products again.

I like the fact that this app exists. Because it allows you to not have to find a remote all the time. However I wish it were just a little bit better. Still 4 stars though. I believe that the sync strength could be little bit better . It could stop disconnecting itself from the tv so easily. It could be a little bit stronger it tends to tell you that the tv is off even though the tv is actually on.

DO NOT BUY A VIZIO TV!! if you're downloading the app after a purchase, TAKE YOUR TV BACK. In less than a year my VIZIO lost a LOT of color, darkened half the screen, refuses to pick up HDMI, changes picture settings for no reason- I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture (Vizio sure doesn't). not to mention there's rarely ever an update to the app. and when they do update it, they redo the entire interface, and it gets uglier with each one. my ancient, cheap Roku STILL works better.

Not sure why people are having issues 🤷♂️. Haven't had 1 yet. Remote works better than expected without any delay. Voice command works great. The real tv remote is about as useful as a block of wood! So this app is more of a relief from the pain of pressing those beautifully designed controller buttons(NOT!) that for some reason use a probability system of sending a signal, about ⅓ of the time, instead of sending a damn signal to the damn tv everytime I press the damn button dammit. Lol.
