OMG! This is one of the 1st apps like this where it didn't stop 🛑 the recording if a call was made or answered OR if the camera was used! Which is SUPER IMPORTANT & HELPFUL! I've been in an abusive relationship and being able to keep the recording going is extremely beneficial, PLUS as soon as it stops, it automatically gets backed up to wherever you want, which is HUGE because the abuser would sneak into my phone & delete anything that showed his true colors

Ads play at full volume even when your phone is muted, making the app unusable. Why would I use an app to record a meeting when I know it will randomly play music at full volume. User Interface FAIL! Also,people with astigmatism can have difficulty reading white text on a black background. This makes dark mode unusable for a third of the population. For accessibility compliance, the background should be no darker than Hex #333. Another UI fail.

It's exactly what it says it a recorder. Works well. Does what it's suppose to do. Records with good quality. Easy to use. Never had ads come up in it when I was using it, that would make me mad if an ad came on, B4 or during recording. Sometimes it's crucial to beable to record something immediately. Had it on my last phone too.

Wow this app is amazing & free! I just tested to see if I can use it tonight for my nursing lectures & it's more than I expected. It let's you record while going to different apps/areas of your phone, or while your phone is "resting". It also transcribed everything I was saying for free. It also let's you play different speeds while listening to the recording. I hope I can use this app with my iPhone, since right now im using an android phone while my iPhone gets repaired. Overall love it!!!

Really great sensitivity, and the organization system is helpful. However I have to doc a few stars. First of all it picks up background noise VERY easily. Such as moving my phone from one spot to another, or taking my phone out of my pocket when it's on mic mode.... It picks that up... Considering that I do logs to help get my story ideas out it makes it hard when there's alot of little movement in the background going on that SHOULDNT be so easily heard on the app, yet becomes obnoxious.

I am highly upset! I have had this app for atleast 3 years or so, and it was pretty great, gave it 4 stars...until the recent update. All of my recordings, almost 200 lyrics, melodies, potential songs...gone, sadly deleted... And without warning! To me that's like a musician chillin in a coffeehouse, writing lyrics in a notebook, and a barista walks by, grabs the notebook while you're not looking, and chunks it in the trash. Downright heartbreaking.

Have only used this app a few times today but this app does exactly what I was looking to accomplish. I needed to create a WAV file to upload to an office phone system. The Voice Recorder app was able to record using my bluetooth headset to create the WAV files. Then I was able to use the simple WiFi file transfer feature to access the files from my PC using a simple file server that the app creates. Couldn't have been simpler. Only one small ad and none of these advanced features were behind a paywall. All around pretty awesome app.

Horrible, I'm having issues with the whole app!! I'm unable to save any of the recordings. I'm also unable to use all of the dentures that are supposed to b able to b used in the app. I m very disappointed please explain your differences that are downloaded. I know someone that uses this and there was many issues!!!! Bit they reported them to u and most were fixed. But it took several times for them to get all of the options that were supposed to b able to b used. I may delete the app.

I have often attempted to close my screen, but the audio of a recording I was listening to continues to play against my wishes. I wish that if one were listening to a recording, that it would silence/pause upon a screen locking. Otherwise, I am grateful, it has been useful to capture things without having to record a video to obtain the audio I desire. I get it all squared away eventually, albeit it is time-consuming to re-open my screen to get it to shut up.

I love how easy this is to use. However, there doesn't seem to be any options to take recordings and set them as ringtones. If there is, it's not clear to users what it is. EDIT: really wish the ads weren't a thing. I got a full screen pop-up one telling me my phone was infected, yet when I ran my anti-virus it found absolutely nothing. Way to allow scammy ads and give users a heart attack.

I like everything about this app, especially the cloud sharing. but I can't give it a good review because of a major bug. I do a lot of pausing/playing when recording while also going to other apps to look at references and I've discovered that if you're recording in the background while multitasking, and pause and then play the recording, it completely cuts out huge chunks of audio. I've even disabled battery optimization but it didn't help. EDIT: they fixed it so im giving a 5 star review!

A free full fledged professional app that is clearly developed by someone working in audio. Super configurable: you can edit the effects (there's a background noise filter!), select audio source (external or internal mic), change encoding format (mp3, AAC) and even has Google Drive sync!!!! Insane. I don't even use Samsung's default recorder app, this is way better. I want it to stay this way, so DEVELOPER, IF YOU'RE READING THIS, PLEASE DON'T ADD ADS OR CHANGE ANYTHING

This app is to recording what Audacity is to editing. It is complete. Its sound product is outstanding. Recording can be done from an external, Bluetooth, or built-in on the device. Files are saved in common formats. There are no proprietary files to export. Activate location, and it will save the most precise geographic info available. I may have subscribed twice, but it is worth the investment. I am a musician and sample collector. It records what I hear as I hear it.

I have tried many apps, either they had too many adds or were over complicated, shared my personal information, or were just, well, horrid. This app is exactly what I needed. It's easy to use, you can share recordings, the sound quality is excellent, and they don't collect personal information. I'm a musician as well as a writer so I was very happy with the sound quality and the ease of stopping and restarting recordings. Best of all after using it for an hour there was 1 small ad ! Love it !

I was very surprised how well the noise cancelling worked. I got a fan running in the background and you couldn't even hear it. My only issue is I wish that it was easier to save to my phone. It took me a while but I finally figure out that I had to share it to my Google drive, then download it from there before I could add the voice over to my video.

It would be great to have additional mp3 encoding options that actually worked. I changed the settings to 64 kb/s. However, I viewed the file on my PC. The 16.78 min file was 38.4 MB in size, mono format and had a 320 kb/s bit rate in spite of the settings. I converted it to 32 kb/s. The file size was then 3.84 MB. It's disappointing that the settings appeared to do nothing. I was also unable to access the program's storage directory using 2 different file managers.

By far, this is the most less-complicated app I have run across for my intended purpose. I'm still confused on how to fully use it, but after going thru a short test-run, it did what I needed it to do. I just purchased the full app. I'm trying to memorize sentences, so I'm trying to record them and continuously play them back (loop) over and over so they're ingrained in my memory. Any explanation on how to do it correctly would be appreciated. Will increase rating if response is received.

I like it, personally. There's just two things holding it back for me, both of them to do with transcriptions. For one, I'd like it (possibly in the premium version) to be able to recognize different speakers. And for two, I'd like a find-and-replace feature, so that I can find a name the transcription got wrong and replace it across the entire transcription. Other than that, it's perfect and everything I want.

Great app however it would be perfect if it could upload the transcript to Google drive too. I have a disabled family member that uses the recording widget to save and upload their recordings with a single click . If it could do all of this and upload the transcript it would be amazing. It would also make it more feature complete against Google's tool. Also the exported audio files can't be played back in Google drive directly, encoding not compatible.

I was impressed with this app for 12 hours. Transcriptions were decent, the sound quality was good, advertisements were minimal, and the free version was awesome. I loved the free upload to Google Drive. However, when I subscribed, to see if I could then search text, I could no longer open the settings. Every time I tried, the app crashed🥺. If this app were able to search my transcriptions, I would reinstall the free version.
