Excellent for simple household bookkeeping. I tend to get into trouble with paper registers because I am lazy and often fail to find it, dig it out, and record tranactions on the spot . My phone is with me all the time, and it's just a few taps to record a transaction. With my bank's online service, I reconcile in seconds daily. I also love the repeat transaction feature. I will be purchasing the premium version!!!

This is the best app ever! Just a very straightforward app that you can customize to your heart's content, without it trying to bully you into doing things someone else's way. You can set up a bunch of accounts, transfer money into them so you can save up for something, then uncheck the accout box so that you can see a total of what you have to actually spend for the month. I love this app. I can't overemphasize enough how big a deal its uncluttered interface is to me.

It has helped me clean up my budget. I am pleased with its performance. Edit: 2-21-2024. I have only one minor complaint. As someone who is colorblind, I would really like colors other than green and red as options for account credits/deficits. Blue for one would be nice. I found out I'd miss-posted credits as deficits, but it took me ages to notice because of the colors are near indistinguishable from each other to me. I am sure I am not the only one with that issue.

An absolute life saver, never had a problem with it in all the 4-5 years of use. The only thing I would change is making it easier to transfer information. I ended up getting a new phone and had to manually insert almost 2 full years of data (I like my records). Other than that, I absolutely love this app and will hopefully continue to use it well into the future.

so far so good. wanted an easy way to keep track of my money and this is working, what more can you ask for? and its free Update It's 2020 and it's still working great and that's without upgrading! Love it! Would like a way to have an account that not included in the balances. I'm tracking expenses for an upcoming trip and some of those are being duplicated. Thanks!

Love the app.. If it was a single purchase for the app,I would but it right now. However, a subscription is not something that seems worth the price. Simple and intuitive app that's easy to use. I don't have the need to connect to my bank, not would I want to. 1. Make this so a single purchase for those who don't want the subscription options tied to it, and I'm sure it would make money.

This is my absolute go-to checkbook. Easy to navigate. The only thing I'd suggest is a simple modification by the developer to return to the most recent transactions after running a search for a specific transaction. I find when I'm done searching, it takes me to my very first transactions from years ago, so I have to back out of the program and launch it again to get to my current transactions. Other than that, I've absolutely nothing to complain about Volkron. Great job team!

The last checkbook app did an update and I lost some of the items I liked using. This one allows me to do what my previous app quit doing. It lost the auto populating of the decimal for money. When I balanced my checkbook, I woukd make an entry under deposits with the name being "balanced account" with the amount 0.00 (zero). It quit letting me use the zero amount. This app allows me to do both. I'm very happy with this app.

Overall, I really like this app. Worth every penny. If I could change two things: 1) App opens to a list of accounts with balances, rather than the last account used. 2) Recurring transfers; I have recurring charges to my credit card so I also have recurring payments, but there's no option to set up anything like that in the app. These are things I would personally find useful, but the lack of them doesn't lessen the app's functionality.

Simply a checkbook register, easy to use and track your balances. Highly recommended!! Edit: 01 May 2024 5 stars is not fair, SHOULD BE TEN STARS. I needed to check on my checkbook balance to log in some online banking - and HORRORS!!!, I had somehow uninstalled it. Went back to the Play Store and then re-installed it. Like magic, when I opened the app, all my transactions were there.

Very intuitive to use. Allows for plenty of detail and notes for each check registered. Much better than manual check register. Very neat and professional looking display. Great layout and user interface. / Edit: No longer shows category detail for some reason (?) just blank space. Reduced rating 5 to 3.

All I wanted was an app that I could record purchases in as I made them, rather than writing in a paper check register. This is perfect for me. I can fill up my tank, enter the total. Buy groceries, enter the total. I can add more than one checking account, and I can quickly balance my checkbook every month. Sometimes less is more, and in this case, this is the first thing that has allowed me to keep up with my checkbook in nearly 15 years.

I absolutely love this app! It's positively simple and easy to use. It's helped me, significantly, to create and stay on top of my budget. I use it to track my checking account, monthly expenses, and budgets, but you can create multiple accounts to mirror what you have. The only thing I wish I could do is to be able to pick and choose which accounts I would like displayed in statements. It's either all accounts displayed or one account at a time. However, this isn't a deal breaker for me.

So far, so good. No more 'bounced checks'. I'm doing a much better job staying on top of my finances with this app rather than doing math in my head. This really only works in combination with my bank's app. I really wish CheckBook would automatically deduct from my bank account cause I've had strokes & suck at math. That combination makes keeping on track of every single transaction a bit difficult. Plus, I have automatic deductions that I worry may slip through the cracks.

Perfect and simple. Press "+", enter info and amounts, press save. That's it. The app does the rest. Maintains an updated total and displays transactions newest to oldest. You can re-edit each entry including the date. I have 3 accounts I track: a personal checking, business checking, and credit card account. This app is very useful in helping me know how much actual money I have available to spend or how much credit available.

Exactly what I was looking for in a checkbook register app. But, can add multiple accounts like Savings, etc. Simple, but lots of functionality. Clean interface. No ads even in free version! It's not Internet based, so it doesn't sync across multiple devices. Runs on local only, with option to auto-save a backup. I did pay for premium version to utilize the extra features and to support this great app. Easy to use. 1 request: please add automatic backup for Google Drive and/or OneDrive.

I paid for this app 10 months ago, and it worked perfectly until today. Suddenly I cannot access my periodic payments because it is a premium feature and it offers to let me pay again. It didn't say it was a subscription, and ten months is a weird periodicity for a subscription. Just be aware, you are not guaranteed access to your data just because you pay for premium.
