Consumer Cellular apparently doesn't have a visual voicemail to offer with their service so I had to find an app. I see why Voxist is so highly rated! It's everything you want; easy to use, inexpensive, and reliable. I haven't used it long, but I haven't run into a single issue. I'm actually getting my voicemail now! As opposed to ignoring it because I'd have to listen to it, etc... lol!

EDIT: September 2022 - What happened?I get emails of my voicemails, but I can't select anything in the app interface. I can scroll but menus and messages are unresponsive to selection. ORIGINAL: Works well so far. Some lag in the interface every once and a while. Pretty satisfied so far. I'm considering upgrading to the premium as the accuracy of the dictation had been good.

I had the message app that came with the phone. It just kept telling me error and no recording. So I downloaded Voxist: Visual. I love it! I never miss a message, it types what the message is so if you don't hear it clear you have a backup. Every once in awhile it gets a word wrong vut it's simple enough to figure it out. BEST VOICE MESSAGE I EVER USED.

I like this app. I have the free version, so I only get a couple transcripted voicemails a month, but I'm ensured a solid place where my voicemails are stored that I can access from any device using my account log in info. I have an issue with phones, and needing to either replace them, or change my number, so I enjoy being able to not worry about whether I'm going to lose them or not. Also being able to read voicemails versus listening to them is amazing. Just for information purposes, & time.

This visual voicemail system was straightforward to set up on Mint Mobile (on an unlocked Nokia 8, running Android 9). It works fairly well. But I am uninstalling. The problem I had was that listening to a voicemail would put the phone in handset mode. So that the proximity detector would turn off the screen (like how the screen turns off when you're holding the phone by your ear). Then, even after the voicemail was done playing and I opened another app, the phone would remain in that mode. So if I waved my hand by the earpiece, the screen would go blank. This continued until I deliberately closed/stopped the app from running. Small bug, probably easy to fix, but very annoying. The app has transcription of voicemails turned on. Apparently this can't be turned off. It would be cool if I could turn this feature off and on. I usually don't need transcriptions, just an interface for playing back message audio. If I could turn the feature off and on, then I could save my ten free transcriptions for times when I really needed them! Also -- though this would be a more advanced feature, but indeed one available on T-Mobile's Visual Voicemail -- it would be cool if I could save message audio.

This app is by far the best. I've had a great deal of voicemail apps and I gotta say, this is the only one I wouldn't mind paying for. I have had nothing but trouble using the default one baked into my phone. I have a Xiaomi Mi 9t pro and it works great w/the app simple to use and no ads!! But I will definitely be upgrading to the paid version just to let them know how much I appreciate it and to help them stay ad-free.This is all on my behalf, I'm not getting paid or bribed for writing this...

I overall love the app, it's capabilities, and the interface. However it takes a long time to load and play a message. Sometimes the app will refuse to load at all. My main issue is that the proximity sensor will remain active after listening to a message through the earpiece, so if I move my hand near the top of the phone, the screen will turn off, even after closing the app completely. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone, and yes this issue has followed me through a few phones.

Great. For whatever reason Verizon and the Samsung S10 plus don't mesh, so you don't have the premium voicemail that should be with this phone. And it's only with the S10 plus on Verizon. You pay more for less. Thankfully this app has you covered. If you get a ton of voicemails, you may not be able to enjoy the free aspect of this app. I seldomly get calls, and this app is a lifesaver. I'm always on the go so having audio for my voicemails without having a screw around is awesome.

Installed fine. But app could used a few things. I texted it from another phone and it wasn't totally set up property. But I've already used one of my allotted 10 free message to email. I would like to be able to test many more than that to get it how I like it. Can get 10 messages to email with free version. The next tier is $4.99/month. It comes with features I'll never use. Pricey. Would rather have an option for something like 20/$.99. Also need to be able to disable the app.

Update: (02-08-2021) I have continued using this app and it continues to be great. Being able to quickly read or playback voicemails should be a normal feature by now, but this app makes that possible until they do. - So far so good, it does what it needs to and it works pretty well. I like the features to playback a message, and read it. I recommend it if you've been looking for something like this.

I use the free version (10 transcripts/month, 1 personalized greeting). It serves my needs well. I've used it for about a year and have not had any issues. I get an email with the transcription and also have the voice recording and transcription in the app as well. The few times I exceeded the transcription limit, I could still listen to the recording. I recommend this app.

I just recently got an Xfinity cellphone and for some reason the voicemail will not work and no one in their customer service seems to know how to fix it. So, as I was checking online to see if anyone else has this problem, I found out that it's a very common problem and everyone was as unhappy as I was that the voicemail didn't work. Then I heard about this app and downloaded it. Update: With unlimited voicemails, I'm changing my rating to 5⭐! It works great! I recommend!

When I installed Voxist I was skeptical, having had a few awful experiences with similar apps, including ones provided by mobile carriers like T-Mobile. I use Mint Mobile now (best EVER!) but they don't offer visual voicemail, and I despise listening to recordings. At once I decided to go with the pro version because I could see the value of the app and didn't want ads. I have nothing but good things to say about Voxist Pro; it has saved me so much time it literally pays for itself. Get it now!

Works great! I don't really mind that I can only have 10 messages transcribed a month. The transcription is very accurate. Way better than AT&T visual voicemail. I got Voxist because Consumer Cellular doesn't have a visual voicemail app. I like having visual voicemail because I don't have to wait for an audio menu to check my messages. My only complaint is hang-ups have been coming through as voicemails usually 3-7 seconds long.

Notification doesn't go away after the first voicemail, so you never know when you have new messages. The listen feature doesn't work, you have to read them. If you try to listen to a voicemail they are all just blank. Edit: After getting rid of the app my voicemail system is messed up. People leaving voicemail are greeted by Voxist but I no longer have the app to receive them.

This is a good app that actually works and does as it says and accesses your voicemail, and gives you a visual GUI interface to control your voicemail. The bad part is it limits you to only 10 voice mails that it does a literal text word for word dictation of what the person said leaving you the message, after that, it's just the audio. If you want more then you have to pay for it.

Works great for transcribing messages, very happy to have it. Especially since my phone service doesn't offer Visual Voicemail unless you pay an additional fee. However it just recently stopped working, & calls are not going to Voxist. I'm not sure why, as I had not hit my voicemail quota for the month. My only other suggestion is the message it plays when it answers. Many people are confused when they hear it & think they called the wrong #. They may want to update the playback message.

Update: one frustration, after using a few months: displays a notification icon long after I've viewed and listened to all messages. So I'm constantly opening the app, expecting new messages, only to discover there's nothing new. Very irritating and a waste of my time. Original review: recordings have been cut off a few times, but largely satisfied with the app.

This app works okay. Biggest problem is DELETING MESSAGES. IT IS SO ANNOYING. I have HUNDREDS of voicemails now and I can select multiple messages to delete, but as soon as you scroll down to select, it lets you select one and then jumps to the top of the list again. Scroll. Select. Back to top of list again. I gave up. Needs to allow me to filter and delete ALL from just one number. Or let me continuously scroll and select. PLEASE FIX.

I tried this app about 3 years ago and it totally took over my voicemail. Later i tried removing the app from the phone and voicemail is still screened and sent to my email. I can not get access to my voicemail any other way. I've requested them to remove the service but no reaponse. This is especially annoying because my phone sends all my wav files to Spotify, which doesn't play the file. And if i play it on my personal computer the sound is so low I can barely hear the message.
