This app rarely works anymore. Everytime I try to open the app it tells me there is an error. Then two seconds later it lets me login to my bank just fine. Then I use it the next day and it still does the same thing. It constantly crashes, freezes, and simply displays an error every time I try to use it. I do my banking 100% online and if this is how its going to go I think I'm switching banks. Terrible consistency.

EDIT: So something I've found since I'm using Android version 8.0 on a LGv20 international model. The solution to "UNTICK Install Unknown Sources" doesn't work with 8.0 it only applies to 7.X versions. With Android 8.0 Google got rid of the checking or unchecking a box and changed it to a special menu in APPS & NOTIFICATIONS either in SPECIAL ACCESS or top right in the menu if your using the latest Samsung 9. It works similar to app permissions were you have to individually enable or disable, problem with this is on Android 8.0 you don't have a ON-OFF switch. This falls on the dev team. Congrats and huzzah for job security! :D REVIEW: And I'm locked out, and the call center is closed, fantastic great user experience. If your app is not opening try uninstalling it then reinstalling. You have to use your username then use the last 6 digits of your SSN. Turns out they rebuilt the entire thing, you'd figure they would make a bigger effort in making a lot of noise or a notification in the app once you've opened it. What a garbage app.

If you use online banking or a need access online easily this is not the bank for you. In just the short year I've been with them getting into my account has constantly been a challenge. Changes to password protocols without notice, updated software that requires you to reset your account, terrible mobile application.....I mean their phone system is terrible and sometimes they can't even speak to you to help. I'm moving!

6/2020 works okay, easy enough to switch between accounts and make transfers. 11/2021 Prior to the recent update, the app performance was quite satisfactory. However since the update, it's overwhelming and appears cluttered with unnecessary "categories". The update has lost the Instant Balance Inquiry feature, which was extremely helpful. Now I have to actually log in to see any details. Highly disappointed in this app now.

Problem #1: No internal transfer capability. Have to log into website for internal transfers. Problem #2: If you load external accounts onto the app and one external account is not syncing properly you can close it but it still tries to sync with external account! Also the account can not be deleted or hidden. So it is always displayed on the Accounts page. Problem #3: No phone support. Instructed to go see a teller at a local branch for troubleshooting! Ya, right.

This new application is absolutely horrible. If you can avoid using WAFD Bank, do it! Their system doesn't update when it should, it allows payments to go through, but it doesn't show on your account for DAYS. It caused my credit card accounts to close down because the amount of money I put in did not show up for some time, causing payments to bounce back and close the accounts. I'm so unbelievebly upset with this garbage excuse for a banking app. Only saving grace is their customer service.

Constantly updating this app and its always for the worst. Steady making me delete photos and other apps for a "convenient update" that makes it harder to use, and makes me change my password and username everytime. Definitely a terrible inconvenient app to have required for daily life. UPDATE: I've finally been able to sign in after this terrible update and I've got to say, its just as bad as I thought. Very laggy now for some reason and 5 times as difficult to navigate. Do not recommend.

The older version was 100% better. The new version is so slow that I could check my bank balance faster if I drove to the nearest ATM. UPDATE: After unintalling and reinstalling as other reviews have stated. I now can't fully access the app. It seems to load a bit faster, however only loads up to an error claiming I need to update the app to the latest version in order to use it. According to the playstore, I have the latest version.

IM SO UPSET. I'm quite literally frustrated. This app will not let me enroll even though I have everything needed, it's always an error! I've un-downloaded it and re-downloaded multiple times, checked my internet, EVERYTHING. It's the app just being absolutely unreliable and I've tried to enroll for the last 3 days and it's always error. Please fix this I beg of you, it's so frustrating!

All of the great features (tracking spending by category, budgeting tools, income and expense tracking etc) of the app prior to the update are all gone. Now all I have available is a basic transaction spreadsheet. Very, very, very, yes very disappointed with this bank! Poof everything disappeared overnight. Typical example of big banking. Not caring for their customers. I called several times, but no one could help or explain why the desirable features disappeared. Bring back the prior app!!

The new UI is great! Big step forward. Unfortunately, the load times of the app are almost unbearable. Even just getting to the screen where I can see the balances of my accounts after logging in takes ages; it feels like you're a kid at the cashier waiting for your mom to get back with the grocery she forgot but you're running out of time and she's taking forever. One step forward, four steps back.

App is very easy to navigate and to use to keep track of expenses. My only concern is not being able to pin point the origin of some charges of where they came from if i ever decide to backtrack automated transactions. I'd like to add that sometimes when I open the app it is completely unresponsive. I won't allow me to scroll, pan, or press anything at times and I cannot get any information pulled up because nothing is opening up when I press it. I hope this gets fixed.

When this app was redesigned Nov. 2021, initially I liked the look and functionality of it. It has been buggy from the beginning, notifications never worked properly, but I figured they would fix the bugs eventually. Now I can't get into the app at all. Seems to be broken. I have enjoyed banking with WAFD, but the plandemic has changed our world as we know it and I need a properly functioning app. I'M DONE. Adios, it was nice knowing ya'.

Application runs very slow. Takes forever to load. Doesn't matter if your hooked up to wifi or regular phone service. It never ran this slow until they did this so called update. Really bites to use. Uninstalled app, reinstalled the app as I was told to do. Runs even slower. Even tried it on my older phone, that takes forever to load. I would not recommend this app. Devolpers need to fix this issue. My other bank apps run great and fast. I'm gonna film a video showing how long it takes to load.

New update is awful. App takes forever to load. Responding to WAFD: I already uninstalled and reinstalled it. It's not AS slow at times. But at other times it lags still. So there was some improvement but still not as efficient as the last version. At least so far. Also the Zelle app does not work to send or receive money. Downloading Zelle separately just sends me back to the WAFD app which only gets me to a blank screen when trying to use Zelle.

As has been expressed by many others the transaction history is taking days to load making it really difficult to keep accurate tabs on my account balance. Sometimes the balance amount will load but not the actual transactions and other times neither will be up to date. Super laggy and slow to log in and switch between pages as well. Personally there's not many of the new features that are something I'll be using so I would just prefer to have up to date account info again.

Horrible update. It's super slow to load. Doesn't show pending charges for a few days. And if you're on the app and transfer money or in it doesn't update, it doesn't have a refresh. So you have to log out and then waste 2 minutes All over again for it to open input password and then wait for it to load.It is the slowest app I have ever seen.It is the worst it's almost like it wasn't ready to be released and you guys just said good enough. For a bank app, it Auto update and show pending charges

I have not been able to see updated expenditures even in the pending status. I have no idea what is coming out of my account. I can see the balance change and that's it. I also can no longer see past zelle exchanges. I have to go to my email to sort out what I have sent to someone. Also the transactions tab does not work the same at all. It sucks.

Better than it was, but still no way to see CD maturity dates. (Can't do that on website either; should be under account info) I want notifications if anything is withdrawn from any account, but only gives "large withdrawal" option. Tried entering $1.00 but app won't accept that. Also says error when trying to add phone number to notifications. This is a good financial institution,but please continue to work on the app and website.

New app is slow and takes forever to load. It does, however calculate and display your balance after a transaction, so that's a plus. It also doesn't allow you to categorize your merchants. Update, now there is no balance after each transaction, which was helpful. Please bring that feature back!
