I've tried odometers to track my distance & they always fail. This app has worked very well for me. Tracks my walks, workouts can be added. I can better keep track of my activity level with this app. Update. 8.1.23 and I'm still using the app at times & still enjoying being able to see the final numbers. I've been using this app for 3+ years now. Haven't saved all my work but I'm still using it & enjoying it.

Kills my battery. I don't know but, seems like too much going on in the background. Update to above review. I was using a Windows phone when I first wrote that review. I am now using an Lg Velvet which can only be purchased 2nd hand as Lg no longer makes phones. I find that this app works well for my walking as a senior. It is easy to use and the saving of maps is very useful for future use and for posting to social media. Not crazy about email ads but, can live with that. I recommend this app.

Thank you for this app! It would be perfect if not for three small issues. I can hike the same trail five times in a month to the exact same point and get five different measurements, five different calorie counts, and five different elevational charts. However considering the cost of this app it is about 98% accurate and I love it. Thank you for having it here.

1st time using the app. I wanted to see how many steps it takes to mow our lawn. I looked at the map & it shows I went across the street. I promise I did not as it's a funeral home & they are closed. So there are a few hiccups but every app I've tried does this. Maybe a spirit comes, takes my phone then returns it...lol! Will review when I've used it more. 6/8/24

I've had a very good experience with this app on my old phone. On the new one, the GPS seems to be wonkey and it shows me walking far away from where I am. When it initially did that, the milage was still correct. Not anymore. I have reinstalled the app twice so far, with no improvement.

This is the only walking app I have used, so l have nothing to compare it to. I love it as it offers all the possible stats for a phone app, as distance, total duration, current pace, avg pace, number of steps, and terrain elevation, which uses to calculate calories used. It allows you to pause the walk, which is great for me, since I walk in my neighborhood and run into people I know from time to time. At the end of the walk it provides a map that shows the path, along with all the stats above.

Has been very accurate, and most of all very reliable, have never had a problem. Update 12/23/22, have tried other apps, but still using this at same time, but I still prefer this one! It has never failed me. I hike uncharted territory, the only thing I wish this had was showing private land so I could know I am not trespassing. When I am in a questionable area I run Alltrails along with this one, as it does show private land. Update 1/4/24: Still very happy with this app!! Very accurate!!

Works great for tracking seems to be quite accurate but what happened to the Auto Pause??? If I have to stop before crossing a street, or if I stop and sit down for a bit to get a drink of water it used to pause. The voice would say "workout paused" then when I started again it would say "workout resumed", now there's nothing the time just keeps running the option for auto pause is not in the choices under workout setup as it shows on the help screen.

It does exactly what I expect it to do. Measures distance precisely and pace per mile. It is a nice additional benefit that it shows elevation up and down in my very hilly neighborhood. As long as I don't turn off the battery saver, it is never interrupted, but, if I do turn off the battery saver, notifications will interrupt the app.

Intuitive, easy to use. Gives me the stats I want: total distance, total time, overall (average) speed, as well as foot speed in real time. Pleasant voice announces each mile marker along with time so far and split speed. Love the clear mapping. Many more features available if you're into it, but the simple functionality and stats mentioned above are all I was looking for. Highly recommended.

Easy to install/use on my Android phone. Helps me track even unexpected walks when my car breaks down. Still my go to app for walking/running bc I love simple electronics. Not an Apple gal. If I can use this app, anyone can. May 14, 2024... Still use this app. I only use the free features and it's still easy and I love it👏 the challenges are a fun aspect also!

It meets my needs perfectly for my morning walks. The feedback on time and distance of mile increments is what I want and need. The map portion has been helpful on walks when I'm out of town. I was visiting family and walking through some newer build neighborhoods where all of the houses look the same and used the map portion to get me back to their house.

Pretty good walking app. I appreciate how easy it is to turn on and just walk. Listening to the ladies' voice telling me how slow I am makes me push for better times. My fellow walkers and I listen for her to report our mile times. They seem accurate to me. I run it with my fitness watch and thiscapp is way more accurate. It feels like we're being scolded for not walking faster. I've been using this app for at least 2 years before Covid-19. For a free app, it's been excellent.

I've been using this app for years. I do a lot of hiking, walking, and kayaking. I love that the app tracks so many things including location, average mph, elevation, distance of course, etc. I also really enjoy the challenges, they help motivate me since I'm competitive. All in all, excellent app & I'd recommend it to everyone!

Very accurate. I do notice some variation when walking the same route, but I blame that on whether or not I have a case on my phone, and on damp/rainy days I have the phone in my pocket. I like to use an armband holder with no case but the weather doesn't always cooperate. It's as good as your phones gps and reception. I love the option of hearing the split times as I walk.

Pretty accurate mileage for walking. I like that there are other options for different activities as well. **Edit** funny thing, immediately after I left this review, the app stopped working for me. It registers my walk as I'm walking, but it will not post my walks to my friends list. I can see them in my route folder, but nowhere else. I initially gave a 5 star rating, but not anymore.

Does what it's supposed to do and accurately. Used the free version for a few months liked it enough to upgrade on the trial plan. Basically I got more interval splits and the option of having the nagging voice update your progress. Pros: Mileage via the GPS is accurate in my part of the world. Arizona, USA. Cons: Can't find many other features beyond the 2 mentioned to warrant the annual fee. They need to offer something else useful or I'm going back to the free version at my subscriptions end.

It is difficult to find an app like this that is geared towards walkers. This app has a simple interface. When you hit each mile, a voice comes on that tells you your time and distance. I haven't seen any ads, but there are some nonessential upgrades like weather. Im still using the basic app without any extras, and it is everything I wanted.

Uninstalled! Gone from great to awful. Still easy to use and free but now is buggy, simply does not work properly. Replaced. The following is my first review as of January 2021 I recommend Map My Walk. My daily average is over 8 miles just for dedicated walks. Map My Walk pluses are an integrated map, audi feedback for every mile walked, split times and stored stats. The UI took a little time ro master but once learned, I like it. Mine is the free version and the ads are unobtrusive.

It's four stars from me because it does a great job of tracking/mapping your progress even when out of cell service. It gives me the stats that I like and is pretty easy to use. The only problem is that sometimes when I start a workout it automatically switches to save mode, which then doesn't track your workout at all. After one entire missed workout I check that the app is keeping time before I stow my phone for the hike. A small inconvenience, really.
