It's ok, the army building is a little annoying sometimes. It would be a lot more streamlined if there was just a "reinforce" button or something of the like, since army building is very similar to sogmar in that regard. It doesn't really make sense to have fluid counts for static numbers. Other than that, the app is pretty good.

When this app released it was ok. You could view the data sheets from the various indexes and build as many lists as you wanted. Now, after the release of the first couple of codexes and the subsequent locking of their respective data sheets, it's become apparent just how much GW wants to nickel-and-dime 40K players. Eventually, free users will only be able to have a single list filled with datasheets that can't even view.

It was good while it was free, but now with the data sheets being behind a pay wall it's value is drastically reduced. At least you can build 1 list to check points costs. If a pay wall is required there should be an option for a small one time fee to unlock a faction separately for people like myself who see no value in what Warhammer+ and/or the physical codex.

The interface and majority of the features are just fine. However, you have a warhammer+ subscription to get full benefit of this app and then you still have to purchase a physical codex book for $60 US just to get a code to unlock your rules for your army once they gotten their book. Hard pass on a monthly sub and having to pay $60 for a physical book that is out of date on release.

Pretty nice actually. The app UI is sleek and modern so the overall feel of the navigating through the is very smooth. However, it lacks several quality of life features in the army building function that ultimately drag down the UX. For example, you can't remove a unit on the same screen you added one. Units added are automatically MSU and since 10th they've made unit sizes fixed so having to repeatly tap a "+" button to increase the model count makes no sense. There's certainly potential here.

Huge improvement! Much better than the last app, this one is actually usable. With that said, it's losing 2 stars for lack of filters. We need filters in 2 places, one for indexes so it's quicker to reference only the ones we want. Second for data cards. Yes it's easy enough to scroll through but I really would like to use this in a game and every second matters. The reason I'm docking it 2 stars for the filters is that it's a big pet peeve of mine.

Please fix UI. It's confusing when all the different indexes and combat patrol indexes are all together. Please have it set up that you can save/bookmark your army's index instead of scrolling through it all to find it. I run necrobs. I want to just quickly go into my index and look at all of my rules without searching through the entire list every time. Please fix UI! It's the same as the last app.

You know, I was ok with having to pay for wh+ for list building, but locking the new content behind buying the codex is vile. One of the main reasons 10th has been successful is the ease of access to the rules. You can do research before buying, double check your opponents rulings, or learn how other armies play to beat them. Not anymore though! Now you'll have to spend 60 bucks per army just to see Stat lines. Can't wait for the game to die off again.

It serves its basic purpose, the most annoying aspect is the limit to one list made at a time in the free version, the AOS app doesn't even do that, I hate having to delete and remake list any time I want to use a different army. It's worse than an existing app made by the same company for the same purpose. *Edit it's even worse now, it looks like if your codex is released you lose ALL info on units other than points and equipment. Again even worse than the AOS app.

Definitely an improvement over the previous offering but still needs fixing. Having to manually add things like close combat weapons when adding additional units to squads should be automatic and you should not be able to add more than the maximum of units or weapons etc. I am also quite surprised that there is STILL no option to build Boarding Patrols in the battleforge... I have spent a lot of money and hobby time on this mode and find the lack of support in the app extremely frustrating...

No search function for lists you've made. Otherwise it's a great app. I very greatly value being able to search for my previously made lists by name, army, detachment, etc. Oh, also, let us use the dn app offline. I went to a tournament with no Wi-Fi in the boonies and couldn't even load the app. Make us refresh our credentials every 30 days or something if you must, but otherwise, let us use the damn thing where there's no service.

It's slick and runs well, and it's nice to have all the datasheets and rules but the army builder function is bad. You can't attach leaders to a unit, so there's no error checking for that. If you increase model count for a unit, it doesn't increase their gear so you have to manually. Also, the export is basically unusable for anything except setting up models (no stats or keywords etc). GW can do better. And they'll charge money for this at some point?! Not good enough, yet.

Games workshop putting almost everything behind a pay wall when the models themselves are already expensive is just making it more difficult to bring new players in. When the app first launched it was an amazing tool that could do everything you needed to play the game. Now unless you want to buy the codex, you are better off just searching online for the information.

Had the app downloaded, and used initially. It has a decent interface and feels nice to use. However GW has decided to make half the content pay walled, and it is NOT worth the price tag, as there are free alternatives that offer about the same information. Even if you use the free half of this app paper/pencil or excel allows you to do the pay walled half. It is nonsense that they are dividing the functionality this way. Now even as someone with a subscription you cannot access everything.

Very happy with it compared to the last app. One star less because there's some issues with usability I think need to be addressed. There's a lot of dead space on the screen making you have to scroll a lot, it makes it feel clunky. "Other Datasheets" needs some filters. Changing wargear could be more intuitive, I feel drop down menus would be best. The wargear error isn't descriptive enough, be better if the problems showed red. It's good except UI issues that a large company should have seen.

The app is so close to being good. Unfortunately the designers of the app prioritized list building over actually playing the game. Having to hit a button to view the datasheet of a unit is an annoying step when most of the time I'm playing the game and just want to view a unit's datasheet and don't want to edit the unit composition and war gear. Wish there was instead an edit mode so instead the default behavior could be to view the datasheets. Or an edit button to edit that unit instead.

As a complete newbie, this app is great for *building* the army. But that's where the good part ends. The amount of times you need to cycle back and forth between different sections is downright annoying and time consuming. Stratagems are scattered between multiple sections, and accessing a unit's details requires clicking on three different menus to get to it (then three more to get back to your army, rise wash repeat). This app has great bones, but needs work for optimization.

While it's definitely an improvement over the 9th edition version, that's the only thing keeping this from being a 1 star review; you need to pay a subscription just to save more than one army list, and then you also need to pay in order to view the details of your roster? That's total bs, given that GW originally stated that all the datacards were supposed to be "free for download" in this edition. Stick to battlescribe, it's definitely much better, even if it doesn't get updated in real time.

The app itself is actually pretty fantastic, as long as your faction still only has an index. It's reasonably organized, very responsive, and includes all rules, stratagems, etc. in addition to the datasheets. HOWEVER, as soon as your codex releases, ALL of your faction's info gets locked behind a paywall. The hobby is already expensive enough, at least make the rules more accessible.

I like this app a lot, I have a suggestion for the developers if anyone sees this. Often exporting your list will go over the character limit for a discord message, if there was an option for exporting that didn't include all of the weapon options, just the unit names and model counts so it isn't a massive wall of text that would be super useful.
