Handy but a couple quirks. My main suggestion would be to add an individual clear option for my battle, rather than clearing the lot. Also erratas should update the warscrolls on the app, it may be another team handling it but its very doable. Last grumble is having to rebuy the books if you own the physical copy, which GW should at least provide download codes when buying physical copies direct from them.

5/5 for the free experience. 2/5 for subscription. I've had it for 1 month and three times I've been locked out of the subscription side. The app saying I need to pay, while Google recording I already have. You can reinstall, but then you lose all lists. I own more physical codexs but you need a digital codex to see Warscrolls, or Relics. Some of the option available in the Codex can't be made in the app (no Skaven Masterclan list) It needs an option to show lists in chat text not PDF.

stick to battlescribe! this has a nice layout , but can be confusing to find exactly what you want. also everything is stuck behind paywalls, if i have the physical book i need to buy it again in the app to unlock sections. also there you need a subscription to make, save and print your list. everything battlescribe does for free!

Great for viewing warscrolls and it's frequently updated with any changes. New format is also much better than the old one where you had to download each individually. The search feature also works well for finding anything quickly. I haven't bought anything on the app yet so I can't comment on those, though I would like if there was something to tell you at a glance whether you have access to it (battalions, for example)

This app is great to look at and easy to navigate, visually it is much more appealing than most other apps they do similar things. Unfortunately the subscription service to make lists and check point values is not worth getting. The points values are actually not up to date a month after the generals handbook came out, there doesn't seem to be any quick view systems to check the stats of the unit while you are creating the list and more. Overall great for the free stuff but that's it really.

Extremely useful for having quick access to warscrolls without the need to flip through my battletomes (also great that it's the most updated version too). Azyr (the subscription) is quite useful for building your lists and keeping them stored in the app, but it's definitely an optional feature for most users. Really wish I had a way to link the app to the battletomes I've physically bought, as not having access to battletomes without buying them again digitally is frustrating.

It's a great app but is way too slow on point updates and the latest update makes it crash immediately on launch. It's clear that games workshop is struggling to deal with bringing their rules to the digital medium. They clearly don't want to lose sales on physical books like the General's Handbook, but in doing so cause the app to be outdated for months. Battlescribe still manages to outshine this app in everyway but looks. People are willing to pay GW, commit to the digital rules format!

Battletomes are NOT OPTIMISED for your phone. You are supposed to constantly zoom in and out on the pages. Which makes quite hard to concentrate on the text. What you get in an protected pdf of a physical battletome, without any keyword search, cross links. This is ridiculous in terms of user experience and not worth $20. Also there is no accounts, so If I want to open battletome on a different device, say ipad (because battletome is unreadable on the phone), I am supposed to buy it again.

Used to love the app, but I updated it today and now it won't open, I ever restarted my phone. Also, please include a code in battletomes so that we can get battalion rules in the app without having to purchase the battletome a second time. Considering the app has been neglected to work on the 40k app I expected better. I understand the lack of updates but after leaving it alone since March you release an update that crashes the app. No excuses you've had plenty of time.

While this app looks great and would be amazing to use, the fact that they are always so slow to update and even slower to fix bugs or issues that are reported makes using it for actual list building and gameplay nearly impossible. As others have pointed out, Point cost updates can take months to be implemented after the release of a new handbook or FAQ. And as a seraphon player, I'm even more disappointed as they haven't updated them properly since the new Army book release months ago.

This App is great, the list builder is simple. The top complaint I see is basically that it isn't battlescribe. However unlike battlescribe the app tends to be more up to date, and only allows legal list builds. Also you can generally get access to new warscrolls before the Battletome drops. That being said you do need the Battletome still for rules reference when it comes to army special rules, but this app takes the place of warscroll cards easily.

Subscription service that should be free, if I buy my faction battletome for 40+ don't try to make me buy it again for digital version in an app I have to pay monthly for. It's really scummy GW, you make enough money... Also the critical rules updates that happen same time every year are months and months late to arrive in the paid app. Just terrible service and product.

Very solid experience, clean interface and things do what they need to. You can buy books digitally for about half price in-app, which is nice, although the reader seems a bit limited (cannot specify page number, but does have built-in content menu and bookmarks). Overall a good companion app!

While the app is great, the functionality of Azyr has really tanked. Majority of the GHB 2020 content has not been properly integrated and old/retired content is still accessible for list building (which can be confusing). These issues have been going on, unchanged, for a year now. Warscroll Builder is a better tool than Azyr as its properly kept up to date with all game changes.

App is fantastic. The My Battle section making reference a breeze. I would like to see a unlock method for those of us who like a physical copy of the books. Edit: Above was what I thought in the begining. I can't update my warscrolls. Numerous errors in list building. On tablets it's still nice for the books and game reference

This app is good for building armies, but was better before the update. It used to have more army functions. Also it doesn't let you add books to your library that you have a physical copy of. The same is true for warscrolls and battle plans. It needs a scan feature like the rest of the Warhammer apps. It also needs to let you put your pictures of your army in it again, like it did before the update.

The lists and features are nice and I personally think the e-reader is good enough. The major issue is that GW wants you to pay a sub for the lists and points but just doesn't update the app in an acceptable time frame. Points can be months out of date. How they expect to keep paying customers without putting any work in at all is a mystery to me.

There are a few bugs, like how you interact with books you've purchased. There is no highlighing feature for text, pinch to zoom is buggy, and when moving from page to page. I would like to be able to see the point cost of units on their war scrolls if i purchased the necessary book. Because I have to hop from the warscrolls to the battletome/GH it makes the experience frustrating. I feel I wasted my money on books that are difficult to interact with leaving my purchases unused. :(

The app itself and how Azyr works is fantastic. Army building works almost perfectly though I do wish you could set specific points limits instead of adjusting +/- 250 from the allotted values. The biggest reason that I'm not giving it five stars is simply the lack of consistent updates. It can takes months to even half a year for some values to be updated. The subscription is cheap but I still expect updates to coincide with a new release.

When you can access it, there is a huge amount of information. You can have all your books digital in one location with easy access while building you lists. When it's not working you can't get anything, you cant even use the digital copies of books you purchased. I'm currently relying upon 3rd party options for lists and building ideas. I miss the old app.
