Great job all! Just hoping Silent Notifications don't include things like fire spread location, evac, or road closure info like some reporters have, or there's no point in having Silent Notifications. If that happens perhaps we don't need Silent Notifications. I know they use those to cut down on access notifications but it helps if all the reporters are on more of the same page. I also know each reporter its different but they could follow a general format. Just a suggestion 👍😉

This is an awesome app!! It helps me know where the fires are around me and loved ones which can be very useful, seens that I personally live in a dry area. It shows ypu fires even in different states which if you asked me can come in handy if you have family or friends that live in another state. If I am being completely honest, there is nothing bad that I could say about this app!! So thank you for keeping the people safe and having a wonderful app.

App was terrific at first; now it sends no notifications, and does not map any fires near me (there was one today, 9/23/23). Really sad to see this stop working; I live in a very high-fire area, and depend on every bit of information I can get. UPDATE, 10/11/23: Another nearby grass fire yesterday, with lots of aircraft circling, yet NOTHING from this app. UPDATE, 06-14-24: Cautiously returning to five stars, as it seems to be working again. Fingers crossed.

Very useful.. However, it would be much better to have an option for membership that was say 4 months @ 10$ or something other than 25$ which is just a lot of money these days. You'd get more people spending 10$ and make more money in the end. I'd think.... Unless if someone is desperate enough to pay any amount 25$ is the 'reasonable' max.. I don't NEED it, but stuff is burning down. 25$ is still too much though. Anyways :p just my opinion ;) Thanks though. It works well..

I appreciate the effort and the helpfulness of this app, but it is missing trivial and basic functionality such as locating your position on the map relative to the incidents. There is a common target icon that is used to reposition the map to your phones GPS location. It is too easy to get lost when zooming and panning around.

The app was working for about 1 wk but now it does not show anything except my location but the app on another person's phone at my home shows the nearby fires. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but no change. About a week after first review. I was contacted by someone who asked about it, but no changes. Still only see the map and blue dot for my location. Need help with app. Using on Android pixel 7.

This App will certainly keep you updated on the most recent wildfires In your area that you live , or in other locations. You do have to add your zip code , or city AND turn on notifications in the App Settings. You can also turn off the notifications settings later Those who have reported that this App doesn't work may have not turned this on.

This App has been the ONLY reason I have felt safe enough to close my eyes recently, while being haunted by the mandatory preparedness and ability to leave our home. & Heartbreak for ALL those who had already done so & lost everything. The constant notifications & updates, map viewing options, features are fully customizable, spectacularly detailed & accurate information..SUCH A BLESSING! THANK YOU FOR THIS LIFELINE!

Great app for wildfires large and small! A must have if you live in the country out west. Has everything I'd hoped inciweb would have provided but didn't. I'm hoping that eventually we'll get better air quality locations that update more frequently and are clickable to get details, and a smoke map layer, but those are just wishes not necessities.

This app use to be really good. Now I no longer get notifications even though there is a fire 6 miles from me. Now I have to go into the app and try to find my fire just to see if there is an update. When opening there is just a large map with nothing on it, I have to keep making the map smaller to see anything. Also there is no way to look up the fire in your area, no list of active fires that you can just click on the fire you want to see. The app needs some work.

It was AWESOME until I had an update and now 24 hrs later it is just a white screen. Powering on/off, removing and reloading doesnt make a difference 😭 help I live in a fire prone area and really appreciated it - their customer service was prompt and spent hours researching/ identifying issue - turns out it was little known app on my end that needed updating that allowed their update and all has been awesome since.

Unfortunately this app freezes and fails to work at all on my android phone (the OS is Android Pie 9). Update: I clicked the update button on Play Store, and the app is now fully functional and MUCH appreciated! Everyone in the three counties should be armed with this app and its priceless information. June 2022. App works sporadically, has required reinstalling several times. Updates for working fires are spotty and disappear/reappear during course of fire. Feeling less safe.

I used this app last summer and liked it. I deleted it from my phone over the winter since I didn't need it. I downloaded it again yesterday and despite trying different combinations of downloading, deleting, restarting my phone, re-downloading, and playing with app settings, I couldn't get the app to work. I ended up deleting it for good in frustration. There's no other app as good. I wish Watch Duty still worked on my phone.

Absolutely invaluable app for fire-prone California residents. Simple, easy to use and navigate, far more useful than CalFire's website, which I find slow. My only wish is that I could follow more counties. I believe the limit is 4 or 6, for all alerts from that particular county, and I'd like to see unlimited as I have family in multiple counties that I'd like all alerts for. Other than that, I have no complaints. I've never experienced any technical issues. This is app is excellent!!

I follow natural disasters very closely. This app is excellent and I love the ability to receive text notifications for updates to specific and/or area fires. My only disappointment is the absence of the ability to set text notifications as a default for all fires.

This is a super valuable Free resource, highly recommend. Also recommend to keep it updated. I wasn't able to see all sorts of embedded info and realized an update must be available, and that fixed my problems. (They also made the map more zoom-able!) I'm happy to support the app with a monthly donation, easy to set up from the app.

I'm not sure why some people say they have so much problems with it, although they often say that they updated it and it worked after. Pro Tip: update your apps. Works pretty much flawlessly, can't imagine anyone in fire-prone areas not having this app. The paid version is worth it, bringing you aircraft tracking and a few other features that are invaluable.
