I flipped my desktop browser to Waterfox when I saw this android version come out. For just regular Internet usage I'm not seeing any issues. The only issue I've had to work around so far is if the address bar is on the bottom, and I load another app, when I come back to Waterfox the address bar is being covered by my android function buttons.

In v. 1.0.3 it almost reached feature parity with Firefox Nightly. Almost - there's no way to disable pull-to-refresh, for example. (and userstyle workaround with overscroll-behavior-y: none doesn't work.) Also: app still can't open local files. Giant logo on the new tab page is still there. In addition, there's bizarre bugs like long tap to select text sometimes scrolls the page so that the selected text is out of screen or as far to the top if the screen as the length of the page allows...

Despite using Waterfox on desktop for years, Android version doesn't make me excited due to garbage featureless Firefox new UI. Data & Battery consumption is all time high. Most help pages are 404. YouTube in fullscreen is a fluke & buggy. DNS change is impossible and on desktop, it's CloudFlare always despite change. Please add features from Samsung browser esp media features & make browsing experience smoother which it lacks. Add contact email or telegram group for suggestions & bugs. UPDATE.

Add settings and shortcut/speed dial syncing, even if it's through a local backup. Also, allow more than 8 speed dials to be viewed on the homepage without the need to scroll horizontally to reveal hidden speed dials. It's tiring to got through all the settings everytime one installs the browser.

I love Waterfox. It works fine overall but themes seem to be broken. I have set "Follow device theme" but it shows the dark theme, even if I'm using the light one. Also there are times where it shows a mixture of both themes (with white background and white font), which makes the app unusable since nothing is readable. I'm using android 14 and a galaxy s23+ if it helps. Hope the app keeps getting better over time.

Excellent alternative to larger browser installs. Most poor reviews request minor customizations, and some reviews misunderstood how to use app. I've been very pleased with the performance of Waterfox this past year. Highly recommend.

Generally, the best browser! You guys doing a great job But I would recommend some customizations in different areas if possible. The first choice of color, AMOLED black, will be the best in dark mode. Secondly, toolbar customization... Here it is about the height of a toolbar and the replacement of the domain name with the page title in the toolbar. There's also an option to display the name instead of the email of the Mozilla account, as it's on the original Firefox browser.

It's overall a good Firefox replacement, but I have a few bugs that affect the usage of the app (not sure if they are upstream or not), such as sometimes page loads begin to never resolve and the only way to fix it is with a full force close and restart. another that I never encountered on regular Firefox is sometimes tab thumbnails are mismatched to the tab that is being displayed (A wiki page with a YouTube thumbnail or vice versa) If these can get patched it would be 5 stars for sure.

Please fix the issue where if I'm in incognito and press the + tab icon it opens another incognito window. There is also another issue with waterfox not closing properly. Even if I clear recent apps the waterfox icon still shows it open until I force close (this is in incognito mode)

You should improvise interface for opening new or closing tabs similar to chrome or Brave browser. Its noted when you want to forward youtube videos it keeps ginlving you notification instead of forwarding it immediately. Also the landscape mode changes to portrait by itself when you try to forward it 10 seconds.

Full Screen issue. Everytime I switched apps, the screen always cuts and I can't see the fullscreen button. I always goes like this everytime I am watching some videos then after switching apps, I can't play the video again in full screen.

A great browser on the desktop, but not so much on mobile. It works fine at best. Websites fail to load more often than it should and it's just slower overall when compared to the Firefox browser on mobile. I understand that Waterfox mobile is still in its early days, so I hope that it can eventually reach the quality of its desktop counterpart.

1. Page is very very slow to load 2. The browser doesn't apply dark mode on all site. 3. Page scrolling is hanging. 4. No ads blocker option. Wrong browser, due to lack of dark mode to site made me to dislike Firefox browser. Now waterfox still carry same interface of no dark mode. Shame.

Ok. At most. The amount of crashes and the lack of user support drive one mad. There's an insistent bug that throws a java.langa and crashes the whole thing if you dare to use the url bar. It looks related to a mix of 1) passwords, 2) large media (stream for example), 3) closing all tabs at once and 4) the privacy menu. It seems the app doesn't zap 'em tabs and keeps on crashing until uninstall/ reinstall. I'm still using it because of the practicality of the about:config. Not happy though.

Long time desktop user. First, the way google pages display is... Weird. Images are a tiny thumbnail when clicked for example, and the whole page looks like it's from 2003. The weather widgets and such don't show up either. I know google is awful about privacy, but c'mon. Second, youtube keeps logging me out, despite not doing so on other browsers. I have tried everything. It's frustrating, because I use a browser to watch YT instead of their ad factory of an app.

I love waterfox on my desktop, and the android version feels very snappy, but it is impossible to sync my tabs from one version of Firefox for Android to another. Granted, I am using an offshoot version (Fennec), but "Share all tabs" won't work, selecting every tab and then sharing it waterfox won't work, and even saving every tab to a collection and sharing that won't work. Please fix this issue and I will switch to this in a heartbeat.

Great launch to the browser, but missing a few features. Please allow tabs to be reordered for better organization, as well as the reordering of saved sites pinned on homepage. Finally an expanded extension list that includes tabliss and unhook for YouTube would blow this browser out of the water. Overall it is a good first start, keep up the good work!

Edit: Thanks for fixing the fullscreen issue. It works great now! Original comment: Exiting full screen videos is broken after the One UI Version 6.0 Android update. After exiting a full screen video the app does not properly resize leaving part of the web site covered by the nav bar and the phone icons on top of the URL/search field. I've used Waterfox on my computer for years and I recently started using it on my phone.

I've been using Waterfox on my PC for a few years now so it's great to see it come to Android devices. One small nitpick I have is that when you're on an incognito tab and you click on the tab button, it automatically shows regular tabs instead of showing the incognito tabs.

Waterfox is a good Windows browser, but the Android version has one glaring issue. Tapping on the three vertical dots brings up the option to clear history. However, even if you choose to clear ALL history - cookies and such still remain. The only way to clear all history (besides setting the browser to clear everything on exit) is by tapping on the Delete Browsing Data option under the settings menu. An unnecessary tedious process for sure. I hope the developers read this and find a fix soon.
