Switched from QuickBooks the first of the year. I think I'm going to like it a lot better. It's much simpler, yet full featured. I'm more confident my customers will actually get my emailed invoices. Plus it's free, instead of the $35 a month I was paying for QBO. Normally I'm leary of "free", because of a services sustainability, quality, and the fact they are usually not really "free". I like the fact they are making there money on reasonable credit card fees, which I set up imediately. Thanks!

I love it! Simple to use and understand. The fact that I can send reminders of unpaid invoices to external platforms like whatsapp is great. Also, my clients love the receipt feature. Though I would like a feature that lets me save different templates so I can organize all my freelance work without having to look for a specific invoice to duplicate. Other than that, very happy with this app!

It wasn't perfect before, but this new update was a major downgrade. Creating invoices and recording payments is now so clunky and inefficient. Basic features now hidden. Save buttons you have to scroll to find when they used to sit easily accessible in the top corner. Options that used to default to the previously used selection how all have to be edited single every time. I already have to switch between app and website to get basic accounting done, now I'm disinclined to use the app at all.

The update looks a little better, but it's pretty much the same. The fingerprint unlocking is pretty pointless. It loads up the app and you can see everything, then it jumps to the fingerprint unlock screen. The app isn't storing anything on the device so it has to download all the data. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't horribly slow. Missing a lot little options that make you wanna just use PayPal invoices.

Don't bother after the new update! They don't care about small businesses. All I used the app for was to send Invoices/Estimates. Figured all the promo I do for them via their logo on every one I send was enough. Nope. Now they want to charge $16 per month just to send Estimates within the app itself. The business I work for is small and family owned that works paycheck to check. We can't afford another expense and will be switching to a different, free software and advertise for them instead.

Edit: upgraded from a one star review. I had some prolonged issues with the platform, but eventually got ahold of a team member who owned the problem and helped sort through it. Conclusion is that Wave is fine when everything is working properly, but if there are snags they do not have the support in place to truly serve small business owners. Still, they have some smart and kind people at the company, but it's incredibly difficult to reach them.

8% to charge a card and no one to explain the charge....2 years later, tried this app again... STILL TRASH... this has nothing to do with the fees, this is about lack of customer service, inconsistency in instant deposits policy, inability to speak with someone when there is an issue, being put on a chat with a bot and taking forever to get an actual person, getting no resolution or clarity when you finally do get a person. just a lot of NOT.

Overall decent app. I would give four or five stars, the only problem is there is absolutely no customer support whatsoever. There's no number to call, no email support, NOTHING! It honestly makes me want to give two stars thinking about it, but I'll stick to 3 because we have used it for a good while now and dealt with it, but it's obnoxious. Completely unprofessional in every way.

Wave is not the same app. I'm asked to spend 16$ monthly ? No. Sorry. Years of trouble-free use, free. Not a rubust app, but for small businesses, it worked well. Now you force a subscription on people? Your freeware option is not the same as before. Branding attached to the invoices ? No thank you. You had the perfect app. It was just fine. You lost another account. You were never like the others. That is what made Wave unique. You obviously changed :(

Not a great experience. We have been using Wave for several years - We were sold on their original mission "always free" and they would be funded by paid services like bookeeping and advisors. Well, it's no longer free. also, features that should be included in any accounting package like the ability to create a purchase order - we have asked for years and still not there. lately they misclassified my business and cut off my ability to receive payments. we are working on switching to Xero.

Crashes when charging a card on file. Will not always allow me to charge a saved card on file. Have to login to the website from the phone. Please add estimates and the ability to create and edit recurring invoices from the app. So i dont have to use a PC or try to use a website on the phone. Also, the increase in the fee by another 30 cents to 60 cents makes this very expensive for small transactions. Also, cannot edit recurring invoices from the app.

I cannot upgrade to Pro. I have followed all the instructions on the FAQ's and still can't. I did start an email thread with a customer service rep. All he did was send me the same information that does not work. Even after explaining, in detail, my issue, he replied with the same information. Almost like he did not read the emails. I like the app alot and I want to upgrade to Pro. It is very frustrating! The Customer Manager reached out to me. Problem should be fixed soon.

I, as many other members, am going through the same issue with not being able to upgrade to Pro, which I am extremely disappointed and irritated for me to even have to do that. I already had the receipts subscription and here comes Wave changing stuff just for a quick buck. I dislike the fact that now they added "Powered by Wave" to their (what is supposed to be OUR) invoices and if you want to remove that mess now you have to "subscribe" and pay more money. What's wrong with you all!?

I liked this app. Been using it for about 3 years now, it was always free, which being a small business it was very helpful. But now all of a sudden I can't send invoices without paying every month.. What a disappointment... You guys always made a point to be sure everyone knew it was always free . But now it's not and now I got to find a new app.. Thanks for not sticking to your motive and hurting the little guy!

Was great untill June 10 2024 when they stopped letting you send invoices seamlessly through the app without paying a steep fee. Now you have to send invoices manually by having to open your email account and entering every email for each customer or do it through your messenger which is also a pita. If you want to continue using the app you'll have to pay for something that wave said would be always be free. 16.00 monthly or 170.00 annually is too much. I'd pay something but not this much.

DOESN'T WORK! I have tried to go through the verification process minimum of 15 times and every time it goes to the whole thing and then says connection error and will not verify. I have contacted customer support numerous times and the only thing they do is send me the exact same copy and paste answer I have sent them to screenshots multiple times showing what's going on and they ignore it and send me the same copy and paste. UPDATE: Closed account & deleted app. Waste of time and phone storage

I can't upgrade to pro from the receipts subscription. The chat bot wont connect me to a real human even though I have a paid subscription, which is the ONLY way to access help. It says update it from the computer, the computer says the play store. I can only cancel my subscription from the play store, there is no option to change. I was willing to pay the monthly fee so I could literally just send a invoice, but you wont even let me pay!? You lost a customer and my recommendation to anyone else

Mostly good, logs out constantly... I don't have any issues with the app in general, it's very good as an invoicing app, and the free functionality works just fine for my small business. However, I get logged out on a daily basis. It's annoying to have to go in and enter my password every time I want to open the app. Maybe I've got something wrong in settings, not sure, but it doesn't seem like the app always did this until recently.

Used wave for 2 years and was great. Loved being able to email invoices right threw the app. Now that they have added pro, and I subscribed to the receipts annually on the app I can't upgrade tell December. So now I have to manually send invoices by email or text. I guess it's time to listen to my bookkeeper and switch to quickbooks.

Wanted to upgrade to pro to remove the branding and the new attachment feature, however there is no example anywhere of what an invoice with attachment looks like. Does it show the "attached image" within the invoicePDF? I read it simply adds a link to the sending email. This is how I discovered there is now no phone, email, or chat support to ask anything unless you pay . The chatbot was useless and kept telling me to ask something else. Very frustrating and disappointing at the same time.
