Today, anyone can take an autonomous ride with Waymo One in the Metro Phoenix area, including Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Scottsdale. In San Francisco, Los Angeles and Austin, download the app and we’ll let you know when it’s your time to ride.

• Get around safely: The Waymo Driver has driven tens of millions of miles on the road and billions of miles in simulated scenarios. The data to date indicates the Waymo Driver is already reducing traffic injuries and fatalities in the places where we currently operate.
• Stay empowered with our interactive in-car screens: The Waymo Driver knows your local roads and shows you what it’s seeing along the way—every car, pedestrian, cyclist, and more. You’ll see its planned route and stay informed every step of the way. Call Rider Support at any time if you need to talk to a helpful human or pull over if you need to end your ride early.

How do I get a ride with Waymo One?
• If you’re in Metro Phoenix (Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Scottsdale), download the Waymo One app and enter your destination to request a ride.
• If you’re in San Francisco, Los Angeles or Austin, download the Waymo One app and we’ll reach out when it’s your time to ride.
• Just hop in the back seat, buckle up, and press the Start Ride button.
• Sit back and enjoy your trip! Watch the passenger screen to see what the Waymo Driver sees as it takes you to your destination. Our Rider Support team is always available to help when you need it.

great & amazing service, ride was smooth and enjoyable especially with the ability to play music directly on the car, would highly recommend to any friend. I could easily see this taking over Uber and Lyft.

I'm currently a delivery driver and waymo is the best driver on the road. I've even followed it en route because it sees everything. Riding in it is like a relaxing escape. Not even joking. Recommendations: 1. sit in the back. 2. Call support from inside because they're very nice and seem to enjoy hearing from you. 3. Turn up the radio. Honestly, it's simply better than the human option. Yeah, I said it.

The ride was very smooth. There were no hopes of a decent car like with Lyft or Uber. The robotaxi is very nice, clean, and has leather interior. It was cheaper than Uber, and I didn't have to top anyone.

Waymo is fantastic! The ride was smooth and I felt super safe! you need the app to unlock the ride and your name is on top and inside so you know it's the right vehicle.

I have had many rides with waymo so far and I could say that it's the best. the cars are all nice and clean and it drives perfectly, I love it, also waymo has the best customer support and they are very helpful.

Excellent self driving cars, I trust Waymo way more than Cruise. Thankfully, Cruise is not allowed to operate anymore. These Waymo cars drive like real humans, and the features are great and efficient!

Open the app, check in for a quick ride. 18 bucks on waymo, 12 bucks on Uber... Close the app. I'll do that once or twice more then give up. Lol yeah, nice answer, hope your customers also think the price is right, cause you know, they the ones paying. I know I won't. Good luck with that!

Smooth and steady ride. Took some time to find a place to pull over. Sensors are amazing. The video display I'm back showed all the surrounding pedestrians and cars within about 50 feet.

Love the app. It was quite smooth and not unlike the experience I've had using other more popular ride sharing apps (in a good way). Pricing and wait times aren't too bad either. I'm getting to ride in the world's first SAE Level 4 AV, I mean how cool is that.

Super cool experience and easy. a little tricky to figure out how to open the doors to get in cause I needed to accept on my phone that I was entering but it only took a few seconds to figure it out. Definitely a easy a Uber and cheaper and my new preferred method of travel.

Now that Uber & Lyft are more expensive than a cab, I decided to finally give Waymo a try cause it's literally 1/3rd the price (for now; Uber/Lyft used to be affordable as well). The car is a little too cautious & does weird things like braking during the apex of a turn instead of accelerating, but not once did I feel uncomfortable during the ride. It's not as scary as the Boomers on YouTube would make you believe. The best part is that you don't have to interact with a driver & no tipping!

My first 2 Phoenix rides last night were very enjoyable, no problems. The vehicle was clean and fun, the ride felt safe and lavish. No driver to judge my conversation or destination. More drop-off and pickup locations needed. Sometimes the walk is long despite good pickup options being available. If you can stop on a side street with no shoulder, why not stop in a private pull-thru or parking space adjacent to a public road? This limits the use for apartment complexes and office spaces.

You can't choose your starting position unlike every other ride share app. You can only use the app if you're physically present in the service area and at the place where you want to get a ride from. That means that you can't get estimates on price or timing or schedule anything in advance which makes this pretty inferior to Lyft or Uber. They still have a way to go.

Affordable and smooth ride. Easy to navigate app. The price offered is the final price since there is no tipping. When will Waymo come to Denver?! The only downside is that the car stayed in the left lane, the entire ride doing exactly the speed limit. The left lane is for passing only, and other cars had to go around on the right. Regardless, I highly recommend it.

Obviously the best part is that the cars are fully autonomous. That's so cool. Each ride is consistent: A private, clean, comfortable car with safe driving. I found the experience to be very peaceful. Waymo sometimes took longer than expected to find a drop off point in a busy area (Union Square, SF), so a couple of times I arrived at my destination later than Waymo originally estimated. Just like with a human driver, dropoffs and pickups were easier in less crowded areas.

My rides with waymo so far have been an overall positive experience. I'm in favor of automated driving becoming the standard for most vehicular travel. I believe it will give us a much safer world with fewer injuries and deaths from accidents involving vehicles. So I'm happy to be part of anything that moves us toward that goal. Not everyone agrees and the only time I felt uncomfortable was in a neighborhood with pedestrians that I worried about engaging with the car but nothing happened.

This was a fascinating and trippy experience, but went extremely smoothly and saved me in the middle of the night when I couldn't get a ride to the airport. The app works well and let's you adjust pick-up location easily, change the music, and monitor your ride. All around impressed.
