I like the app for disc golf, but i can only ever access 1 course from my main screen even though I have a whole bunch saved in my favorites. Sometimes it will show more but I would like to see multiple courses at a time to gauge where I'm gonna go instead of having to open each one individually. It's a great feature if only it worked right!

the number of parameters can be a bit overwhelming at first, but there are different profiles that help focus the data - make sure to browse those if you're looking for specific info. adding spots to the map is a great feature. I bike along the lakefront and this app is gold for forecasting the headwinds (bad 😵) and crashing waves (nice! 😁). the free version is pretty good - 100% tempted to get the paid version

UPDATED: Very useful for when I am planning marine fishing trips out to 20 miles. Wind and wave forecasts are essential, and as accurate as the models can be. Graphics and color coding are visually effective. I like the variety of computer models and layers. I waited for a sale and upgraded to PRO. Very happy with owning this AWARD WINNING App. Well done, and congratulations, developers!

No intuitive way remove the box with local weather information that obscures part of the wind map. When using fingers to move the map to a different location the weather box still remains superimposed on the map - always making it very difficult to see and inspect the entire map. Don't waste your time downloading it to avoid its extremely poor functionality and the frustration it will cause. Google Play Store has much better wind apps to download.

great app for wind direction and speed. great lakes region. The free version of the app always functions well for me. I have no problems with ads, or loading. Easy to navigate the app as well. My favorite weather app, overall. Would love to see the discounted price come up again. I would definitely pay the lifetime sub fee, if it were available again.

The app has the potential to be great, but the tide times are wrong. At least for Deerfield Beach, FL. Getting wind direction, wave height, etc all at a glance is a really great feature for boaters like myself. However, without accurate tide times it nullifies that benefit because I still need to go on a different service to get the right tide times. So now I don't even bother with Windy, I just go on those other websites. I'd be happy to change my rating if this gets fixed.

Works really good. Seems very accurate when sitting out in a blind or out on the water. Only knocks are with transparency views. Can be difficult to differentiate the transparency for low wind speeds. Greens and blues over land or water can be indiscernible sometimes. The animation can be tough to read in satellite view with some of the layering. A little tweaking in the view settings and all is good. Great app for hunting and boating.

I just started using it but I'm already impressed by the user interface. As a former computer programmer, now retired, I fully appreciate a feature rich user interface that is still easy to use and learn! I love the compare graph, which I've never seen the like of before. The help screen, which does not shuttle you off to your browser, explains the models. Nice! Customer support is very quick and helpful!

As a pilot, this is an invaluable tool! And while no forecast is 100% perfect, the ability to compare different models against one another helps create confidence in the prediction so that you know what to expect, within a standard deviation. The UI and UX are great, which makes getting and digesting the data a pleasure, not a pain. Very happy with Windy overall and the team seems to push updates regularly to improve it!

I'm a novice paraglider pilot. Windy gives me reliable wind readings and forecasts for parks near me where i can practice kiting(ground handling). Great app. I also surf, so the swell info is nice. 5 years down the line - revisiting app with a new phone. Here's what: app is overly aggressive, pushing the pro version way too hard. If i wanted it, i'd get it, but i don't, so i wish they'd back tf off. Too $ hungry.

UPDATE: the current version has been unusable crashing constantly. This is my fav app and I'm having to result to using red windy as a substitute. Please fix!!! .... I use this App for scuba dive planning and have not been disappointed. Very intuitive combination of wind and tide data for numerous stations with gorgeous map overlays out you in control. Customized layouts and info displays put the info you need at your fingertips! Highly recommended!

It's curious how the annual subscription price jacks up $10 if I select the seven-day trial. Free ain't free anymore. Do better! Update: If one clicks on "free trial," the first screen that shows annual price of $24.99 suddenly changes to show that the price will be $34.99 after the seven day trial. I wonder how many folks miss that detail? Free ain't free.

Could be a great app. My settings dissappear regularly. Radar is weak and location is sketchy. If I could count on stability, I would keep it. Also, the trial deal was $10 less than what they would like to have charged me, so I canceled at the end of the trial. Update, just found out they charged me anyways. Not happy with this. As usual, free trial is bull. They WILL refund me or they will get bad reviews all over.

The UI leaves a bit to be desired. It doesn't appear to be easy to track multiple locations at once even though my intuition tells me it should be apart of the app. The multi day grid view really doesn't give me any useable information even though I'm sure there's something to discern there once I learn the app. Overall I'm probably going to end up using another app as my daily driver. They've somehow managed to obscure the usability of the app by over engineering the UI.

This app is NOT worth the money! It has lots of information about surface wind - which is fine (especially for an app called "Windy"). What you don't get is all of the other information you need to understand weather when you're going to be out in the weather. There are no map layers with isobars & fronts for wind aloft, no jet stream or stratified wind layers for weather system movement, no radar layers for precipitation location, no satellite layers for clouds. It's only good for wind.

Wish you hadn't have changed the app. Now it is completely worthless. You had a good thing going. No I have to fund something else. Reinstalled just to try again. Giving up forever. Your map display is awkward and the numerous windows obscure the map. Precise location only shows 24 miles away, where it was previously spot on. You used to have the wind speed and gust forecast show up first thing, great for an app about wind. Now it cannot be found. But your ads are easy to see! I'm out.

Much better! Most of the model refresh issues seem to have been resolved, which makes this app one of the best options again. The model compare view is very convenient. The 'best model' feature is brilliant but not always accurate, I'd love to be able to configure it (time span, wind direction..). The screens customization is a bit clunky at times but overall a very good app. It would be great to see more weather stations being reported too.

Currently, this app is major setup issues. I've contacted support, did as they recommended, and now it's worse than it was when I went through setup on my own. When viewing radar, you can't see roads, cities, or anything other than a bright green haze with black dots in a grid pattern. In its current, non-functional state, I do not recommend this app. I have a background in IT, and if I can't figure out this app, there is something wrong with the app.

The app is okay but hard to navigate to favorites or select location. Way to many screens trying to promote additional upgrades before getting to the dashboard. (edit: and the developer's response is to point out the need to go to the pay version. I don't mind that the free version has only basic functionality. I do mind hiding basic interface behind upgrade prompts and top level features aren't the first thing I see when I open the app.)

I signed up for the 7 day free trial but then purchased an annual subscription at a discount a few days in. But for whatever reason, it showed me as having two separate subscriptions, the 7 day and the discounted. So I canceled the 7 day, since I didn't want to be double charged, which seemed to remove my discounted pro subscription despite already paying for it. This is unacceptable.
