I've been watching WPTV Channel 5 News for 47 years. I watch it in the early 4 AM, 11 AM, and again at 3:30 PM in case I miss something. The news cast are amazing people. I trust them giving me information. I love the weather and news people. Rebecca

Amazing news station and an fantastic app to go along with it! Native Floridian here and this is by far the most unbiased and reliable news station ever. Keep up the good work 👍.

A news app that provides UNBIASED reporting, rather than the propaganda and inaccurate political bias you get from the major network and cable news outlets. Here, they just tell you what is happening locally, along with quality reporting on national issues. Folks at WPTV should be proud of their work. When you can read news and not be able to figure out which political party the reporters support: THAT is journalism. Great job WPTV!

Before each video you'll see 30 sec ad, but the video itself doesn't work. So it's a great app to watch ads, not local news. Very bad.

Always on top of latest news. All the reporters and announcers the people that represent the news, weather , and local events feel like personal friends. Plus WPTV, reports the latest on Politcal news. They also cover the latest on the Pandemic Covid-19 with accurate news on where to go for testing, and the latest statistics on how many have been infected per county. Especially the Weather reporters with the best news on the latest developments with our weather, including Radar .

The ONLY local news app that actually updates their site every single day. The others keep Friday's news throughout the weekend, even when there is breaking news. Great job WPTV! You're my go-to source for news!

Once again, these meteorologists have been spot on when it comes to predicting the paths of hurricanes. They are the absolute best. They provide a level of detail and experience that nobody else can match.

Having a problem with the interactive radar map. Been having a problem for over two weeks. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Didn't work. Otherwise I like the app but miss the map.

wptv app is great, I have easy convient access to weather, breaking news storys an anything I need in between. It helps me with my morning commute to work an shows me what ways to avoid. the news anchors are super friendly, you feel like part of the family with them.

Advertisers must be happy. You are forced to watch 30 second ads before you can watch any news clip. Also most times the news clip does not load after the long 30 second ad. (The ads always play). Android or iPhone same problem.

I have had the app for several years, works fine. In the past month, the videos are not showing up and/or playing correctly when you click an article. I see no updates for app available. Any suggestions?

app constantly crashes... other reviews complain of the same thing... I have called and emailed WPTV for months... still not fixed. REALLY LIKE several of the news and weather anchors... but the station seems to not care about their viewers!!! That is the main reason they are ALWAYS scored less than 4☆ by the reviewers. both WPEC & WPBF rank much higher on Google...

Does what u need it to. Wish they would mix up the commercials though. U see the same commercial all the time for a week or more. Mix it up guys! I dont mind sitting and watching a different commercial before u watch a video, but i cant stand to watch the same one every time. So 4 stars because i have to watch the exact same commercial every time. Mix that up and ill change it to 5 stars lol

Mostly great, but it is annoying that if you click on one story to read it and then click out, it reverts back to the very top story forcing you to scroll down through every story again to get back to where you were. Plus I never get notices.

WPTV News app has gone downhill running 30 second ad videos without the opportunity to skip them after about 5 seconds. Especially the FPL video that runs over and over and over again. I pay enough for my electricity with FPL how about discounting my bill instead of wasting money on advertising. It's no longer worth wasting my time on WPTV app videos. Way to go you're losing viewers. I understand ads is what pays the bills but there needs to be the correct balance or you alienate your viewers.

I go to hit on my notifications on my Android phone these days like the last five days and guess what it doesn't take me to the article and app doesn't even open... Freaking ridiculous... Like what's the sense in using you if I can't read the article which sometimes is now very hard to find. Why don't you go back and read all the critical reviews and do something about fixing this instead of ignoring them fix the issue ‼️‼️

Good app but not enough granularity in the notifications. I get WAY too many notifications. I set the notifications to get only "Breaking News", but I still get from 20 to 30 notifications a day. This is Super annoying. Otherwise it's a good app. One other thing you have to watch an add in order to see every video. The problem is that the ads are too long. If you are going to make people watch ads for EVERY video, then the ads should be no more than 15 seconds each. This is a real turnoff!
