Dank der ZDFmediathek kannst du den Kampf um die Podestplätze dennoch live verfolgen und verpasst keinen Fehlschuss und kein Überholmanöver. Rund um die Uhr sind die Livestreams des ZDF und seiner Partnersender direkt in der Mediathek-App verfügbar. Alles, was du dafür benötigst: Internetzugang, dein Smartphone oder Tablet und eventuell Kopfhörer.
🎥 On-Demand-Videos: Fernsehen, wann und wo du möchtest
Lieblingssendung verpasst? Über die Android-App hast du Zugriff auf die komplette ZDFmediathek und kannst das Anschauen dann nachholen, wenn es dir zeitlich passt. Mindestens für eine Woche nach Ausstrahlung sind die Filme oder Serien online verfügbar – viele Formate sogar noch länger. Sie haben die Auswahl aus bis zu 30.000 On-Demand-Videos. In der Kategorie „Letzte Chance“ erhältst du einen Überblick über die Sendungen, die in Kürze offline gehen. Apropos offline: Falls du einmal längere Zeit keinen Zugriff aufs WLAN oder keine mobile Datenverbindung haben wirst, kannst du dich vorab mit deinen Favoriten eindecken. Fast alle Filme und TV-Serien können in der App zum offline schauen verfügbar gemacht werden.

my wife watches Bares für Rares everyday on this great app for AndroidTV...but recent episodes have been uploaded in a different format, and only the older episodes and the new 10' clips work. Please help!

I am in levelz.put one annoking thing about this gameis that the rest team had got much betterweapons than the left team. Sometimes, it just doesn't want to stream. You have to try 10 times until it let's you. Streaming during the world cup was just horrible. Enormous lag despite configuring the frequency rate of my Chromecast.

Poor resolution when Chromecast to TV. Looks like 640 or less resolution. This occurs when with "hoch Qualität". WLAN ist not Problem as it has 1+ gbps, and DSL is 250mbps. Also watch list often fails with can't get page unicorn error

Love this app! It lets me watch German TV living abroad, great offering. Only downside is that the login functionality doesn't seem to work. (Not sure if logging in improves the user experience though as I've never been able to authenticate :))

I've got this app on my smart TV has awesome documentaries and English subtitles for some series and other programs, haven't watched in a while I should check it and see what's new Review was 4/22 and damn Google turned off the app & permissions, cuz I normally use it on Samsung Smart TV! BTW this app is awesome ❣️

Functions flawlessly most of the times. I just wish some.programs weren't blocked outside Germany, but I understand. Anyway, I haven't seen any tv app that can compare to yours. Update Feb 2021.stulk the best tv streaming app but I still miss Soko Wien blocked outside Germany

Disappointed that only there are so many restricted productions which can only be watched at night. Also, some series are not available completely and have episodes missing. I can only find them on their youtube channel, as payable content. Why do i have to pay twice (GEZ & ZDF channel on Youtube)??? Also, since internet access here in Germany is so slow, there should be an option to reduce the streaming quality in order to watch without interruptions, same as the ARD app offers.

Messy and convoluted UI and slow response. No menu bar at the top. You can tell that functionality has taken a back seat as it is all about visuals. The thumbprints are too large and you have to swipe all the time. Perhaps okay on a tablet but not good enough for a smartphone.

Live streams are constantly stopping or crashing entirely. When using a chromecast, audio and video are out of sync by a lot. Compared to other apps with live streams this is by far the worst I encountered.

the content, especially funk is really strong and the app has come a long way. No ads, offline viewing and Pip are really nice points and it works great on my device. Would recommend to everyone who had bad experiences with the mediathek in the past to give it another chance.

When I cast to a Chromecast video comes through 2-3 seconds later than audio. Quite annoying. Only streaming app I have this with (ARD, Netflix, Disney, sky all work fine) Edit 7/7: they seem to have fixed the video delay when playing via a Chromecast. Thanks!

Searching and downloading content is fine. I do not criticize here that content is removed after some time due to German law. The streaming of content to a Chromecast of simplest content (11 minute Conni children series episodes) only play for about 30 second until interrupted. Interruptions last four up to over a minute per interruption. We never experience such delays in our Chromecast with Netflix, Disney+, or YouTube.

It's a great app for watching German news and shows, except it no longer works with Chromecast, which is too bad. I appreciate the subtitle feature, which for a non-native speaker sometimes is necessary to catch the really fast dialog.

ZDF it’s an absolutely Great App available for Android TV and I use it everyday to improve my German language, but in the latest version of ZDF App something wrong or it’s a bug or they forgot to release the Options button. I don’t have the Option for Subtitles ? Please fix the issue to return Subtitles in German language.

Totally disappointing with recent updates. 1) Keeps zonking out. 2) Can't stream continuously -> up 10 times interruptions per minute, only sometimes several minutes continuous 3) Sound and image often not synched. (We "heard" the goal several seconds before it happened on the screen; dialogues in films don't connect to the story anymore).

German TV App, let's you watch German programing, sports and documentaries. It works well for the most part, however the menu is not the most user-friendly. The age verification is impossible with documents from outside of Europe. ZDF should take the ARD mediathek as an example of easy age verification. Overall this App is good though.

Usability is ok. Unfortunately when streaming through chromecast, live tv is constantly interrupted and in football games audio comes before picture. I saw in a separate review that issues with Chromecast were solved, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to be sure before testing it again. Summary: issues with chromecast remain. 2 years after feedback, nothing has improved

I used to like the ZDF Mediathek App. However they applied some changes recently, and since then the "Untertitel" functionality does not work or it simply does not appear to any program. It was a very good functionality for me and many others who like the ZDF content and use it to learn a bit of German. If they fix this, I will definitely change my review.

Almost finished with intermediate a2 deutsch (German) and found this. I love it so far. This will definitely step up my learning and fluency. The shows and movies are great!
