Quick Start:
1. Select from multiple answer sheet forms and sizes at ZipGrade.com. Download and print as many copies as you wish.
2. Within the ZipGrade app, press 'New Quiz'
3. Press 'Edit 'Key'. Enter your answer key or scan an answer sheet acting as a key
4. Press 'Scan Papers' to start scanning papers:
* Hold paper on flat surface and align the 4 corner squares in the 4 viewfinders.
* ZipGrade will automatically focus and identify when paper is readable.
* The app will vibrate when paper is graded and provide an instant summary (with links for more detail).
* No buttons to push, leaving your other hand free to turn to the next paper.
5. Review:
* View actual images of scanned papers and make any manual corrections (ie student's crossout out inked circles) in 'Review Papers'
* Get a view of how the entire class did in 'Item Analysis'. Item Analysis includes a drill-through to see alternative answers and which students gave those answers.
* Export results as PDF reports (to print and hand back or post) or CSV files to upload to your gradebook.

This is a very good app. But I would like to suggest improving the app to disallow screenshots while taking the online exam. I hope that the features will enhance or improve in monitoring students while taking the online exam. and other features to allow teachers to send their scores through email.

It is one of the best apps for grading, but there is still room for improvement. It would be helpful to add features such as student email integration and better communication tools—like the ability to send grades or individual student portal login codes via email with a single click.

A great app. Well worth the $! The only downside is that while the UI is pretty intuitive, there are functions and issues that can be difficult to determine what to do. The FAQ is not really up to date and doesn't answer some usage issues or questions. A lot of "let's see if this works". Some things you have to do in the app, others on the website. A better and updated FAQ would go a long way to make this a better app.

Great app for a SUPER reasonable price. Easy to use. Love that I can tag each question or entire assignment. Exports data that is perfect for longitudinal studies of student progress. Customer support is great. Even though I have had no iasues with software, I had some questions about data formats and they have responded to every query ..

Incredible time saver! I teach AP Euro and US histories, and this is amazing for multiple choice. I also am an SAT tutor. This app is a lifesaver. I love it and my students love it. Having the ability to give immediate feedback is incredible. Cloud storage works really well, only a few seconds to bring it up on the computer. Has made my school year SO MUCH easier. I love you, developer. For reals. I will purchase this every single year with no qualms ever. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent product that works incredibly well. The fact that it's free up to 100 scans a month is just icing on the cake! I use it for grading a 100 question test and it has made what was once a huge ordeal a very simple process. Recently I had a few technical difficulties and John at ZipGrade replied super quickly and was able to get my issue resolved in a very short time. Definitely worth the download!

Awesome! It makes grading multiple choice, True or False, matching (up to 10 choices) easier. My only suggestion would be to add an option to add score for a subjective part of a quiz. (Update 9/23/18) OMG, one can have a subjective part, and that score to the bubbles! I'm loving this!

The camera is a little sensitive and takes pictures too fast at times which results in incorrect scores. Also it would be nice to have the ability to go back to the quiz or main screen after scanning quizzes without having to close the app. However overall it's a useful way to grade and collect data.

Being a teacher for 12 years already I lost count of the hours I spend on grading. Thanks to this app I have more time to do other things. Even though there are already scantrons and machines this app makes it more convenient and efficient. No more having to buy scranton because you can easily print them out customized to your needs. Being a math teacher I love the new free response option.

Saves a lot of time grading. The 7 dollars a year is DEFINITELY worth it!! *EDIT after Covid* I stopped using this because everything is digital, I now use Google Forms for my tests but I would definitely get back on board with it if there was a way they can do something like that, especially if they were more math friendly unlike Google Forms.

Changes the whole game. I can grade one class in about five minutes instead of about an hour, or longer depending on the length of the assessment. I can utilize the statistics and feedback to change my instruction to accommodate to my classes with significantly greater ease than before. Honestly this is a must-have for teachers. Plus it allows students to practice fine motor skills while bubbling.

I've been using this app for almost two years and I love it (and so do my students)! There are some frustrating parts (such as creating custom sheets and adding tags to questions), but I feel like the amount of time I save far outweighs them. I do really wish that student tags were included in their PDF export of the assessment. Right now, you can see the tags on individual student pages online, but it doesn't print with the PDF itself. We align everything to standards and it would make that part so much easier.

This app has revolutionized my grading because now I can have an item analysis for every quiz that we take. If I edit an answer in the key, it adjusts grades. I can print out my own custom bubble sheets. I dont have to wait for the scantron because I can use my phone. All of the results are stored. If there is a discrepancy then I can check the image saved on my phone. Awesome awesome app. Love it!

It works better than I thought it would. I double-check papers to make sure they are scored correctly, and I have been amazed at how rarely I have to make a change. It is generally only when someone does a poor job of erasing an old answer and it registers as two answers. I love how simply the app is. The important options are available and it isn't bloated.

Great app for quickly checking multiple choice answer sheets. Takes grading time down drastically. Well worth the $7 annual subscription. I really like that there is a free trial version where you can scan 100 papers a month to test it out before subscribing. Subscription is not an automatic renewal, which is also a plus. I haven't tried the custom answer sheets yet, but it appears that there is an option to include questions where students bubble in their own values, akin to those on the SAT.

It is a very handy app that helps grade multiple choice quizzes and tests. I like the analysis features you can look at on the website. I find that when I print the answer sheets they are very light which makes it hard to copy. I have used the darkest printing features and still have to adjust the copy machine to darken the print off. Otherwise, the copies will be too light making it difficult to scan those answersheets.

Love, love, love the app. Worth every penny in hours of grading, feedback and customizability. It changed the way I design tests and quizzes; I can make more frequent assessments that take minutes to grade, it gives excellent and immediate feedback by identifying bad questions, mistakes in the key, and duplicate scans. Students don't get to use electronics, but I have all their answers at my fingertips, saved. Customer support is timely and knowledgeble. Thank You!

This is the most underrated and amazing scantron app. I've been paying the yearly fee for 5 years now I think, The customization oltins and ease of printing make it very easy to give large form exams or even spur of the mimen top quizzes or surveys. I would recommend to any teacher out there. Scanning with your phone is awesome as well, GradeCam, while integrated with other features, just has too much rigidity for me. The camera rarely wigs out but it does sometimes, I just close it out and re-launch. Usually no issue after that. I love it!

I use the android version and my teaching asst. uses the i-version, with no problems going back and forth. ZipGrade has streamlined our grading and saved us hours of walking to and from our campus scoring office. Easy to set up and use. Helpful analytics for understanding the fairness of your exams. Allows multiple versions of an assessment, which is great for large classes and those who have wandering eyes. Many other features too. A superb value for the price!

I tried the free version for one day before I invested in the paid version. This is the most useful app I have. Not only does it grade tests on the spot, but it provides useful data. You can print out reports for students. You can tag questions and get specific results about each students strengths and weaknesses. Customer service email response was about one hour and quite helpful.
