I've had problems since day one! I will be in the middle of viewing a profile and it flips to carousel or messages. I keep getting notices that a validation code was sent to me for my phone number but it doesn't show up on email, text or voicemail...I have managed to get messages exchanged with one gentleman. I guess that's better than none! Also, I can't help but wonder, why we are asked to set preferences when they are ignored??

Need to rework the notification system. The app only let's you toggle on what medium you get notifications (email, text, phone) but doesn't let you toggle what to get notifications on. For instance, I would like to get notifications on my phone, but only for messages, not every single time a person views my profile or when I get new smart connections. Definitely a quality of life thing that should be standard.

Probably THE worste dating app I've ever tried. It just sends random picks for you even if your search requirements have some parameters. For example, you can put an age range yet you'll still get connected (via the app) to someone outside that parameter. I regret doing the 3mos subsc. Messages get duplicated, a no interest flag on someone doesnt stop the app from "connecting" you again later on. There's a feature called "carousel" but it doesn't allow you to view the person's profile.

Not bad design, but the rigidity of the search filter settings is a serious shortcoming. Also the MASSIVE amount for a subscription fee is absurd. $30 a month, no thanks. Also the sheer number of profiles that have ZERO information included with a single image is unbelievable. I'd honestly set minimum requirements for all information categories so that fake profiles can be weeded out. Needs more development, keep working on it.

Do not subscribe! Even if YOU pay to see messages, unless the other person also pays, you still can't communicate with each other. Their "solution" is right after paying for a subscription, they ask you would you like to buy a second subscription that will allow whomever you contact to read what you send them. This app is set up to maximize the time it takes for you to potentially meet someone. And therefore wring out as much money as possible from you.

for something that is supposed to be "beyond swiping" this seems to behave in an even more shallow focus than Tinder does. There's no opportunity for you to *really* connect with anyone without paying, if they message you you can't read them, and if you send out a message you can't be certain that it went anywhere. Everything is designed to be focused around creeping out on people, and showing you features you can't actually use. I'm not above paying but I have to be shown it's worth it: I wasnt

Zoosk constantly has double if not triple the same pictures of candidates within 5 to 10 people. The messaging lags and doesn't function smoothly or accurately. I find it frustrating how long it takes for the home screen to come up. If I'm not continuously struggling trying to get the home screen to come up or the messages to appear correctly (in an adequate amount of time) I have to try to differentiate between the potential matches. Ugh! Their technology is antiquated!

I signed up and everything was fine. I was able to use the app one time and now it won't let me login with neither Facebook, Gmail, nor entering my email and password. Very disappointed cause I keep getting notifications from it but can't login to check. Also it tells me to try again or contact support but there is no support button or help button. I might reconsider giving a better rating if this problem gets fixed.

Very lame to use. When the one thing required to even talk to people is shoved behind a paywall, I immediately deleted my account. Having to pay just to be able to send and receive messages is beyond stupid. What's the point of the app if you can't even have a basic thing like messaging? Edit: reply to editor. Absolutely not. Messaging should always be free. Paying for a basic feature is just greedy. I'm surprised you have any users at all.

Update: Feb 22, 2024 The good: They're very much on top of fake profiles sending email notices to you. The bad: The app allows for canned responses even from valid members so it makes it harder to screen fakes. The horrible: If you cancel your membership instead of pausing it prior to expiration you can't reactivate it, even though the Play Store shows reactivated. They'll ignore the reactivation and hope you'll double pay. In the real world this would be illegal.

Trash app. Very DEI and SJW friendly. Can't do anything without a subscription. All you can do it like profiles. Just another money hungry app to take advantage of those seeking a romantic relationship. My email is getting blown up with notifications of messages I cant reply to, most likely from fake profiles, in order to squeeze money out of you. 40 bucks for a month is a total ripoff.

I haven't met anyone interesting this site and the line of someone wants to meet you just means the liked your photo but doesn't mean they'll respond if you chat. Then they autobill AND notify after renewing and don't offer refunds. It makes paying for the "cheaper" rate for 3 or 6 months not worth it because it's a large chunk of money if you forget to cancel. One star is too high.

My fingers are exhausted! I'm getting hundreds of likes from guys hundreds of miles away and it takes four clicks to delete each one after I've had to open and view each profile to find they are not local. This app is wasting so much of my time! The app also shows me "smart" choices but doesn't let me look at the pix unless I accept the match. Such bad usability.

There's nothing free about the free version. Even when I watch the videos for permission to view profiles or send messages, it does nothing. You want me to waste my time watching ads multiple times for nothing? Also, the other person matching is a waste of time. Smart matches, as well. What's the purpose of a smart match if you don't even allow for an "unsmart" match. 500 characters is not enough space to tell everything wrong with this app. Now I know exactly why you have such a low rating.

Hands down the worst dating app out there. Not only are there ads, but you can't even receive or send messages with the free version, despite what their advertising says. I don't mind paying for dating apps, but I want to be able to sample what I'm getting before spending as much as these apps charge nowadays, and Zoosk doesn't even offer that. You'd figure that with the ads, which no other app has, they'd be able to offer more features, but corporate greed strikes again!

Save your money. The "free" version is horrible, with far too many ads. Plus you can't really do anything anyway. The paid version is equally horrible (just without the ads). Yes, you can do things in the paid version...like realize most of the profiles available in the paid version are people on the "free" version who can't do anything anyway (like read a message or respond). It's pricey too - This app has no value for money.

Avoid this at all cost. The app is positively garbage, and possibly malware. It was pulling too much memory for what these apps use so who knows what it was doing. Constantly crashed, which forced me to try and use the website, big mistake. Once I tried logging in there it kept wanting me to enter a verification code from an email which I never received over hours of trying. Their support site also never worked. It's a scam. Try Bumble, at least that app works.

God forbid you try to cancel this - they keep hitting your account for payment over and over, and don't lose your password because you never get a reset email! Thanks for your response, Zoosk people, but if you go to help, you still never get a link to reach out to speak/email anyone. I went through every single page and found that everything links back to "help" which is no help. None of my issues are resolved.

Unless you're ready to spend $22/month, this app is no more than window shopping. Other dating apps limit functionality, but this one goes a step further by locking everything down until you pay money. You can like people, you can look at their pictures, but that's as far as you're going to get until you're ready to open your wallet. They also have the common suspicious feature of you getting a bunch of messages right away when you join, but they're a little smarter and don't show you details

The app itself is a problem. After using it for about 5 minutes, it progressively gets slower and slower. It's as if all the profiles and pictures get loaded into memory and stay there, rather than being cleared out and refreshed as you continue browsing. Also, typing messages is a pain. The text editing is strange, and doesn't work like every other text box. Also, some buttons don't work on certain pages. The entire app needs work. It's clunky as hell.
